Chapter 33 - Chapter 34 Yu Beibei and Tang Ya!

After dinner, Zhu Ziyang and Jiang Nannan returned to the freshman teaching building.

They walked to the bulletin board outside the teaching building and found the freshman class information there. Each freshman class had one hundred students, and currently, four classes were already full. Zhu Ziyang and Jiang Nannan had just registered today and were assigned to Freshman Class Four, just barely making it in the last three spots.

At present, the fifth freshman class already had ninety-two students, and with three days left until the end of enrollment, Zhu Ziyang estimated that this batch of freshmen would likely fill six to eight classes.

"Bei Bei, Bei Bei, I'm in Class Four!" At this moment, a lively girl's voice sounded beside them, sounding very happy.

Zhu Ziyang and Jiang Nannan were both drawn by the lively voice and couldn't help but look over. They saw a pretty young girl with a melon seed face, phoenix eyes, and a single ponytail, exuding a lively and cheerful aura.

"I see it. Oh, what a shame, I'm actually in Class Five. Just barely missed it!" Beside the girl was a handsome young man, similar in height to Zhu Ziyang, with a tall and slender build, dark blue short hair, a refined demeanor, and a gentle smile. He looked at the girl beside him with doting affection, a hint of regret in his tone.

"It's okay, Class Four and Class Five won't be far apart," the girl said with a smile, comforting him.

Zhu Ziyang and Jiang Nannan paid no mind to the young couple and left the teaching building directly.

"It's still early, how about we go for a stroll in the city?" Zhu Ziyang suggested.

"Let's not, I'd rather go back and cultivate," Jiang Nannan thought for a moment, then said somewhat dejectedly, "Yang-ge, you're already at level 35. If I don't work harder, I'm afraid I really won't be able to keep up with you."

"Alright!" Hearing Jiang Nannan's words, Zhu Ziyang understood the girl's feelings. He couldn't help but feel powerless. At the moment, he had no better way to help her. He could only comfort her by stroking her beautiful hair, saying, "Don't push yourself too hard. I'm here for you!"

"Mhm!" Jiang Nannan softly agreed, her smile like a spring flower.

So, Zhu Ziyang escorted Jiang Nannan back to her dormitory and went to Shrek City alone.

Shrek Academy students who wanted to enter Shrek City generally chose to go through the North Gate. There was no other reason; it was simply because the distance from the East Gate to the North Gate was short enough.

In this situation, Zhu Ziyang couldn't help but complain that the architects of Shrek City were absolutely incompetent!

Shrek Academy and Shrek City were integrated, and opening a gate on the west wall of Shrek Academy would significantly shorten the distance. Yet, the west wall of Shrek Academy was completely smooth, which truly left Zhu Ziyang speechless.

It took Zhu Ziyang nearly twenty minutes to enter Shrek City through its North Gate.

He wandered aimlessly through the city, his gaze shifting between the shops on either side. The lively night market atmosphere made him feel a little dazed; it was no less vibrant than Heaven Dou City.

As he walked, Zhu Ziyang suddenly felt a bit bored. Firstly, aimless wandering was boring, and secondly, his shallow pockets left him with no desire to shop.

Zhu Ziyang couldn't help but sigh. Although he had nearly 100,000 gold coins given by his parents, this money, within Shrek City, might be enough for food and drink, but it definitely couldn't buy resources helpful for a Spirit Master's cultivation.

Finding hidden treasures was just a joke; did he really think all merchants were fools?

Losing interest, Zhu Ziyang returned to the Academy.

Back in his dormitory, no new person had moved in, which made Zhu Ziyang realize something: perhaps he wouldn't have a roommate. Freshman Class Four was already full, and if no one had appeared by now, it meant no one else would come.

Zhu Ziyang was still quite happy.

He smiled, then began to cultivate.

---

The next day, six in the morning.

Zhu Ziyang woke up as usual.

Looking at the empty bed opposite him, he confirmed that he would not have a roommate.

He quickly washed up, left his dormitory, and arrived at the main entrance of the dormitory building.

The morning air was very fresh. In front of the dormitory building's main entrance, the old man was still comfortably lying on the wooden chair, with a serene expression on his face, his body gently rising and falling.

Zhu Ziyang politely waved to the old man, then walked to the other side of the entrance, leaned against the wall, took out a book, and waited quietly.

He was, of course, waiting for Jiang Nannan. Although their strength had made great progress, they still maintained their habit of morning runs, and to achieve the effect of exercise, they would carry weights while running.

About five minutes later, a young man with dark blue short hair walked out of the dormitory building corridor, reached the main entrance of the dormitory building, first greeted the old man—he was the second freshman after Zhu Ziyang to greet the old man—and then he also walked to the side of the entrance, his gaze fixed on the dormitory building's staircase.

Evidently, he was also waiting for someone.

Zhu Ziyang felt that the blue-haired young man looked somewhat familiar. He squinted his eyes and instantly remembered: wasn't this the young man from the young couple they met yesterday evening in front of the teaching building's bulletin board?

The blue-haired young man had a carefree smile on his face, his hands casually clasped behind his head. He noticed Zhu Ziyang, walked over, and said, "Hello, I'm Yu Beibei from Freshman Class Five. Have we met somewhere before?"

Yu Beibei?

Zhu Ziyang's heart stirred slightly, while a faint smile appeared on his face as he replied, "Hello, Zhu Ziyang from Class Four."

"Oh!" Yu Beibei instantly understood upon hearing this and said, "I remember now, we met yesterday evening at the bulletin board."

Zhu Ziyang smiled and nodded, a hint of contemplation hidden in his eyes.

Yu Beibei, he should be a character from that book, "Douluo Dalu II: The Unrivaled Tang Sect," right? Among the dozen or so characters mentioned in the scattered book fragments of his past life's memory, Yu Beibei appeared as many as three times.

It was getting more and more interesting!

"Are you waiting for that girl who was with you yesterday?" Yu Beibei didn't notice the strange look in Zhu Ziyang's eyes and continued to ask.

"Aren't you too?" Zhu Ziyang retorted.

"Hehe, you're right." Yu Beibei smiled somewhat sheepishly and said, "I'm waiting for my childhood sweetheart. Speaking of which, you two are even in the same class, what a coincidence."

"It is quite a coincidence," Zhu Ziyang said.

The two chatted idly, and a certain camaraderie was established between them.

A few minutes later.

Jiang Nannan came downstairs, and with her was another graceful young girl with a black ponytail, who was none other than the girl who was with Yu Beibei last night.

"Ziyang-ge," Jiang Nannan called out, smiling and waving after seeing Zhu Ziyang.

And the girl who came down with her also waved and shouted, "Bei Bei."

Evidently, they had both waited for the people they were expecting, but they hadn't expected the two girls to come down together, and seemingly, they had already met.

The two beautiful girls walked up to them.

"Yang-ge, this is my roommate, and she's also in our class. Her name is Tang Ya," Jiang Nannan introduced to Zhu Ziyang.

"Hello, my name is Tang Ya, and I'm the Sect Master of the Tang Sect!" Tang Ya looked at Zhu Ziyang with curious eyes, saying with a beaming smile, a faint hint of pride on her pretty face.

"Hello, my name is Zhu Ziyang." Zhu Ziyang also responded with a smile, but a trace of surprise flashed deep in his eyes.

Tang Ya? Haha, another character from the book.

Tang Sect? That name truly resonated like thunder.

Had the once illustrious, continent-shaping, number one Sect on the continent now fallen so low that an eleven or twelve-year-old girl was its Sect Master?

Zhu Ziyang could only say, they deserved it.

"Nannan, this is Bei Bei, my Tang Sect's head disciple!" Tang Ya didn't notice the unusual look in Zhu Ziyang's eyes. Instead, she pulled Yu Beibei over and introduced him to Jiang Nannan.

"Hello, my name is Jiang Nannan," Jiang Nannan said with a smile.

"Hello, I'm Yu Beibei from Freshman Class Five," Yu Beibei responded.

"Shall we go eat?" Tang Ya asked.

"Not yet, I'm going for a morning run with Yang-ge. We'll eat after we finish," Jiang Nannan declined.

"A morning run? I don't want to run on an empty stomach," Tang Ya's face fell as she said, "Then Bei Bei and I will go eat first."

"Mhm, okay," Jiang Nannan smiled and nodded.

The two girls made their decision just like that, without thinking of asking for the two young men's opinions.
