The pups were already there, curled up together on their parents' bed, fast asleep.
Bryan Oliver and little Princess Charlotte had decorated their parents' chamber with paintings of their family together. One showed Brandon holding Emma tightly, as if he would never let her go. Another showed all of them together, with Emma holding Brandon just as tightly. The last one caught them completely off guard. It showed Brandon kissing Emma, and the moment they saw it, they both burst out laughing, holding their stomachs.
"Moonheart, I hope it's not what I'm thinking."
They looked at each other, already figuring out what had happened.
