By the time Brandon and Emma stepped out of the chamber hand in hand, several servants along the corridor had already heard what had happened. The moment they saw the Alpha King and Queen Luna walking toward them together, conversation faded, and the hallway fell unusually quiet.
One of the older housekeepers lowered her head, quickly wiping the corner of her eye before looking up at them again.
"I knew you would find your way back to each other," she whispered.
Several of the other servants smiled through their tears. They had watched Brandon wander through the estate alone every day after returning, carrying the weight of everything he couldn't explain. They had also seen Emma leave for winters with heartbreak written across her face. Seeing the two of them walking together again felt like watching the moonrise after a very long winter.
Emma looked at the staff and smiled warmly.
