Ophis ate in a very bold, unrestrained way, though for someone whose true form was a dragon, that was hardly a problem.
Then again, after eating that much, there was still not the slightest sign of her stomach bulging. As expected of the Infinite Dragon God, was it not only her power that was infinite, but even her stomach as well?
Rod did not dwell on that too much. Instead, he simply held Ophis in his arms and began teaching her how to play games.
Considering that Ophis was a complete beginner, Rod picked some relatively simple games to play with her.
Once they entered the game screen, Ophis immediately fixed her full attention on the large display.
To her, video games were clearly an entirely new and unfamiliar field, and before long she had thrown herself into it completely.
Unfortunately, Ophis had no talent for gaming.
Perhaps because she had always lived the way she did, even when the game character was attacked by enemies, she showed no real reaction and only knew how to press the same few buttons over and over.
When the character was defeated by the enemy, Ophis lifted her head and looked at Rod. Rod, in turn, pressed continue, and Ophis resumed her operation.
Even so, Rod could still tell that Ophis was having a pretty good time.
By now, she was already leaning fully into his arms instead of sitting stiffly upright.
Time passed little by little.
Happy times were always short.
Seeing that it was already nighttime over in Japan, Rod was just about to leave when Ophis tugged at his sleeve.
"You're leaving?"
"Yeah. I'll come play with you again next time."
"Can't you stay a little longer?"
Looking at Ophis's expressionless face, Rod found himself in a difficult position.
After all, judging by the time, Lavinia's period should have ended today. He had been ready for that for quite a while.
But instead, he had ended up being held back here by Ophis alone.
In the end, after gritting his teeth, he could only painfully give up, for the moment, on the thought of sharing a night of intimacy with Lavinia, and stay here to keep Ophis company instead.
Still, there was no way he could remain too long. Tomorrow, after all, a Seraph from Heaven was coming to see him. He did not know what it was about, but he still had to make the trip.
…
Time seemed to pass a little more slowly at night. Under Rod's careful guidance, Ophis's gaming skills finally improved a little. At the very least, she no longer left the main character standing there doing nothing until the enemies beat him to death.
By the time it was late at night in Japan, Ophis let out a yawn, tossed the controller aside, and leaned against Rod as she fell asleep.
"She really doesn't stand on ceremony at all."
Looking at the black-haired l0li leaning against him, Rod's face also showed a faint smile.
His plan to raise Ophis's favorability was going very smoothly.
But thinking about it, that was normal enough.
Ophis might have lived for who knew how long, but her mind was as simple as a child's.
It was not to say she lacked intelligence. Rather, in terms of dealing with people and handling relationships with others, Ophis had always been in an extremely passive position.
Back when she had been driven out by Great Red, she searched the world for allies, looking for a chance to launch a counterattack into the Dimensional Gap.
But every faction deeply feared the power of Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God.
Perhaps there had once been other factions who coveted Ophis's power and wanted to cooperate with her, but the moment they heard that the target was Great Red, all such thoughts vanished instantly.
Although when people casually ranked the top ten beings in the world, they would unconsciously leave Great Red out of the rankings, even so, no one doubted that Great Red was the strongest existence in the world today.
It was only because Great Red had never interfered in the affairs of reality that people instinctively overlooked him.
And ever since the various mythological factions learned that the Infinite Dragon God had been expelled by Great Red, all of them chose to protect themselves wisely.
They did not know the exact conflict between Ophis and Great Red, but they knew one thing clearly enough: if they helped Ophis, there was a chance it would attract Great Red's attention.
Although the gods and war gods of the various pantheons did not particularly recognize those world top-ten rankings, they knew perfectly well that Great Red was an existence they could not contend with.
As long as Great Red remained focused on staying in the Dimensional Gap, they had absolutely no need to bring an enormous disaster upon themselves.
That was why Ophis kept hitting walls again and again.
The Khaos Brigade, however, as a terrorist organization, had no need to care about any of that.
On the surface, they promised Ophis that they would help her defeat Great Red, but in reality, aside from borrowing her name and power, no one had ever truly thought about going head-to-head with Great Red.
Rod did not know whether Ophis herself understood that she was being deceived.
Judging from the current situation, she most likely did not.
Or perhaps it was more accurate to say that, for now, she could only choose to trust the Khaos Brigade.
After all, after all these years, that was the only organization that had responded to her request.
Based on Rod's understanding of the original plot, the conflict between Great Red and the Infinite Dragon God was actually quite simple.
Great Red's duty was to maintain the stability of the Dimensional Gap, and at the same time to defend against invasions from other worlds.
Rod did not know whether Great Red was aware of the existence of the EXE world.
But as the strongest being of a world, there was a very high chance he did know.
And precisely because of that, for the sake of the Dimensional Gap's stability, Great Red expelled the Infinite Dragon God, preventing problems from arising in the Dimensional Gap because of Ophis.
After all, if, during such a period, those Cybertans from the EXE world discovered the existence of Earth, then in less than a month the entire planet would probably become a battlefield.
Maou-class? Chief-god class? Even Great Red would only be another stray by the roadside, cut down in a single strike by an ExE God.
…
Around eight in the morning in Japan.
Rod's figure appeared in the courtyard of his residence in Kuoh.
He yawned and stretched lazily.
Because of Ophis, he had barely rested the entire night.
When he arrived at the living room, he happened to run into Xenovia and Irina, who had already changed into their nun outfits.
Noticing that Rod had come in from outside, Xenovia asked curiously, "You're up this early? I just went to your room planning to att- look for you, but you weren't there. I didn't expect you to have gotten up already."
Xenovia knew very well that Rod was usually free and lazy, especially in the mornings. If he did not feel like getting up, he could stay in bed all the way until noon.
The two of them had always envied that terribly.
Especially in winter. They could only force themselves out of bed through sheer righteous spirit, while Rod could still stay under the warm blankets playing on his phone.
"I've been out playing with someone until now. The moment she fell asleep, I came right back. I haven't slept all night."
Rod gave the way the two of them were dressed a glance.
"You two are going to meet the boss?"
