Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Kallen 3 (Otto)

"Misses, aren't you leaving yet?" Grandfather Arthur asked, looking at Aili and Kiana who remained still.

"Why can't we go together?" Aili asked, and Kiana nodded beside her.

"If I were to go with you, then Miss Kallen would truly have no chance of escaping," Grandfather Arthur said with a bitter smile.

"Aren't you going to try? Are you just going to give up like this?" Aili walked up to Grandfather Arthur and placed her hand on his wound.

Aili tried to control the surrounding data, and then the bleeding from Grandfather Arthur's wound slowly stopped.

"What a miraculous power," Grandfather Arthur said, feeling his wound heal, and simply reached out to touch Aili's head.

"Little girl, I truly cannot leave, because only by staying here can I hold back some people. You should leave with Miss Kallen."

"But! Grandfather! If you go together, won't you be able to protect Sister Kallen?" Kiana asked anxiously from the side.

"Little girl, you don't know the means of Schicksal," Grandfather Arthur said, shaking his head. "This entire town is Schicksal's territory. If no one holds them back, Miss Kallen won't be able to escape."

"Kiana, let's go," Aili said, taking Kiana's hand.

"But Elysia, we…" Kiana still wanted to say something.

"Kiana, don't say anymore. We can't change Grandfather's will." Aili then glanced at Grandfather Arthur again.

"Yes, for Miss Kallen, I must stay here," Grandfather Arthur said.

Seeing that Kiana still intended to speak, Grandfather Arthur directly struck again, knocking Kiana unconscious.

"Take your companion and leave, little girl. She truly resembles our Saintess," Arthur said with a sigh, looking at Kiana.

Both her appearance and personality were very similar.

Both were so reckless.

"I've caused you trouble," Aili sighed.

"It's nothing, little girl. As I said before, I'm just an old man now. I don't think the Bishop would dare to directly bite down on me," Grandfather Arthur said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Aili immediately carried Kiana on her back and followed in the direction of Yae Sakura.

After leaving the prison, Aili saw Yae Sakura waiting for her, holding a similarly unconscious Kallen.

"If you have nowhere to go, come with me, Miss Fox." After Aili finished speaking, she ran in Bronya's direction.

Yae Sakura silently followed Aili.

The two of them arrived beside Bronya, one after the other.

"Elysia, this is?" Bronya looked at the two people behind her in confusion.

"Don't mind them, Bronya. That Miss Fox is a companion who broke out of prison with me, Aili."

"Bronya believes that breaking out of prison is wrong," Bronya said, looking at Aili, then at Kiana on her back.

"Is Kiana alright?"

"She's fine, just temporarily unconscious. After all, if Kiana wasn't unconscious, Aili wouldn't have been able to come back." At this, Aili also sighed.

Then Aili and Yae Sakura exchanged glances, both seeing the helplessness in the other's eyes.

Are these two really from the same family? Why are they both so stubborn?

They don't consider the situation at all, just blindly act on their impulses.

Just as they were discussing where to hide.

Kiana and Kallen woke up simultaneously.

Should it be said that these two are indeed Kaslana?

Aili gained a deeper understanding of the Kaslana physique.

Whose family members could wake up so quickly after being knocked unconscious?

After waking up, both of them simultaneously shouted, "Grandfather Arthur!"

Then, the two of them grabbed Aili and Yae Sakura respectively and began to question them.

After listening for a while, Bronya patted Kiana, telling her to look in the direction of the prison.

"How could this be…" The entire prison was now surrounded by layers of people.

When Kiana stopped, Kallen turned her head to look at her, then followed Kiana's gaze.

Seeing the people outside the prison, Kallen merely pursed her lips.

Schicksal's strength here was undeniable.

"Why…" Kiana looked at the prison in confusion.

"Because I committed an irreparable mistake," Kallen said softly.

"But does Schicksal truly have no regard for human feelings?"

"There is no human feeling at the upper echelons of power," Kallen said bitterly.

Seeing the people outside the prison, she was no longer so surprised.

Having gone through countless loops, she had long known this truth: her existence threatened the Bishop's power.

"So, this death, I cannot escape," Kallen said, shaking her head.

"Oh my, a lovely young lady shouldn't say such disheartening things," Aili interjected at the right moment, standing beside Kallen.

"After all, you still have people you love and people who love you, don't you? ♬ ~" Aili said with a smile.

She didn't know why she was still smiling at this moment. Perhaps it was instinct; she disliked other emotions, and she wanted to treat everything with gentleness.

"It's precisely because they are here that I must go to my death."

"And then? Even if you, Kallen, confess your guilt, do you think those people will spare the ones you care about?" Aili asked Kallen directly.

"You need to look carefully. Behind you, there's a Miss Fox who broke you out of prison."

"Inside the prison, there's Grandfather Arthur who stayed there for your safety."

"If you just go back like this, won't it disappoint them even more?"

"As long as I go back, they won't have to die!" Kallen said firmly.

"Why do you think that? You already know that the upper echelons of power have no human feelings. So what do you think will happen to them after you die?" Aili didn't know how to persuade Kallen anymore.

Why was this Kallen so stubborn?

Yae Sakura hugged Kallen from behind at this moment. "No matter what choice you make, I will follow you and experience it with you."

Kallen held the hands wrapped around her. "Yae Sakura, you shouldn't have come here."

"Since I'm here, I will face it with you," Yae Sakura said, resting her head on Kallen's shoulder and whispering into her ear.

Clap, clap, clap.

Behind them, the sound of clapping came.

The few of them looked cautiously behind them.

"Otto, you're here," Kallen said calmly.

"Of course, my Kallen. How could I not know about such a big event?" Otto narrowed his eyes, looking at Yae Sakura beside Kallen.

He clearly remembered that this fox spirit had been killed and sealed. Why was she here?

"My Kallen, you have so many friends. Why don't you introduce them to me?" Otto said, approaching.

Kallen didn't speak, just quietly looked towards the prison. Grandfather Arthur had already been escorted out by several people.

Grandfather Arthur could have escaped at any time.

Looking at the wary group, Otto just stopped at a distance from Kallen.

Because that Miss Witch was already preparing to draw her sword. If he took another step forward, he believed that the Miss Witch's sword would directly cut him in half.

But that wouldn't do, as he hadn't taken Kallen away from here yet.
