Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Far East's Response

Meanwhile, after someone discovered the distress call posted by Elysia, they quickly reported it upwards, eventually reaching the Far East Branch of Schicksal—St. Freya Academy.

When Theresa and Himeko first saw the post, they thought someone was just seeking attention.

After all, how could they not know the situation in Nagazora City at that moment?

It was the epicenter of the Third Honkai Impact; if there were any living people in such a place, they would have long since fled, and the authorities had immediately issued various notifications upon receiving the news.

Living people who could leave on their own were to gather at a certain location.

Living people who could not move independently were to leave a message under the official post—limited to Nagazora City citizens.

With all the notifications and search and rescue efforts, Nagazora City was now a dead city.

Who would stay in the city like they wanted to die?

However, the subsequent message from the intelligence department made them sigh.

The IP address where the post was published was indeed within Nagazora City, and not even in a relatively outer area.

'Why do people always seek death?' Theresa and Himeko thought.

They had initially believed the person who posted was just seeking attention and hadn't ventured very deep.

But the location where this person posted the distress call was already deep within Nagazora City, a place where ordinary military forces found it difficult to enter, so they had to send someone from their side.

Furthermore, for this person to reach that location, they either had good skills or great courage, and not turning into a Death Soldier there meant they had good Honkai energy resistance. It was still worth rescuing them; they could also see if they met the requirements to be trained into a qualified Valkyrie.

"Himeko, I'll go check that location to see if anyone is there. Coincidentally, we detected another surge of Honkai energy in Nagazora City a few days ago," Theresa said to Himeko, frowning as she looked at the intelligence report on the table.

"You go? You're the Headmaster. Who will manage the Academy if you leave? I'll go instead," Himeko shook her head.

"You can just watch over the Academy for me when I'm not here. You know why I won't let you go," Theresa looked directly at Himeko.

"But..." Before Himeko could finish, Theresa interrupted her, "And it's just to investigate the situation and rescue someone. You don't need to worry about anything, after all, I am an S-Rank Valkyrie."

"Alright, alright, I can't argue with you," Himeko smiled helplessly. What Theresa said was indeed true; such a mission was child's play for an S-Rank Valkyrie.

"Alright, don't worry. You should just stay in the Academy and take good care of my niece and them," Theresa said, then jumped down from her chair, walked around the table to Himeko's side, and patted Himeko's lower back.

"Then Theresa, please be careful," Himeko sighed.

"I'm an S-Rank Valkyrie, don't worry," Theresa said confidently, then walked out of her Headmaster's Office.

After Theresa left, Himeko carefully looked at the photo on the intelligence report again. The person with dark red eyes had a very clean profile, yet she felt something particularly out of place about them.

Theresa was an S-Rank Valkyrie, much stronger than her.

After reorganizing the documents on the table, Himeko turned to leave the Headmaster's Office.

But just as she opened the door, Theresa bumped into her.

Theresa looked at Himeko in front of her, her face a little red, and quickly bypassed Himeko, rushing straight to the desk, grabbing the documents on the table, and jumping directly out the window.

Himeko looked at Theresa like that and burst out laughing. Such a Theresa was not common.

Theresa, who had landed from upstairs, also heard Himeko's laughter. At that moment, she wished she didn't have such good hearing; she was about to die of embarrassment.

She had left confidently, only to remember when she was almost downstairs that she hadn't memorized the two locations. Then she had to turn back to get the documents; she was losing face completely!

She took the Judah necklace from her neck, transformed Judah into its normal size, then directly stuffed the documents in her hand into Judah, and then, carrying Judah on her back, walked towards the logistics department.

After all, Nagazora City was so far away, she definitely couldn't walk or run there. It was better to go to the logistics department and take a plane.

After stating her needs at the logistics department and seeing the plane being prepared, Theresa breathed a sigh of relief.

After a short wait, Theresa was already on the plane heading to Nagazora City.

Looking at the Academy getting smaller and smaller, Theresa took out the documents from Judah again to review them.

Looking at the first Honkai energy radiated location—Chiba Academy—Theresa frowned at the place.

Her niece, Kiana, and the current Third Herrscher, Raiden Mei, were both students of this Academy. Now, this Chiba Academy also had Honkai energy radiation. Was this really a normal Academy? (Do you even have the nerve to say that?)

Then Theresa looked at another document, which was about the person requesting help.

Elysia, not a name from the Far East region, Theresa nodded. (As if your and Kiana's names are from the Far East region.)

Continuing to read, she was an orphan, grew up in an orphanage, and was later adopted.

It was a very clean profile. The IP address of the distress call was at the address of the family who adopted her.

In other words, had this child named Elysia been hiding at home from the beginning? Then why didn't she leave earlier?

Never mind, no need to think so much, Theresa then threw the documents back into Judah.

She decided to investigate Chiba Academy first, and after that, go pick up this child named Elysia.

The plane was fast and soon arrived above Nagazora City.

"Alright, this is far enough," Theresa walked to the cabin door.

"Theresa, don't you need us to find a place to land?" said the pilot flying the plane.

"No need. After I go down, you can just return to the Academy," Theresa said, then directly pulled open the cabin door and jumped out.

Watching Theresa jump out, the people on the plane actively closed the cabin door and then began to return.

After Theresa jumped from the plane, she plummeted headfirst towards the ground. When she was still some distance from the ground, she changed her posture and stepped on Oath of Judah.

After that, Theresa's descent speed drastically decreased, stopping just as she reached the ground.

She jumped off Oath of Judah, then patted Oath of Judah. "Thank you, Oath of Judah." Then she single-handedly pulled the Oath of Judah, which was lying flat on the ground, up and put it on her back.

After confirming her position via GPS, Theresa, with Oath of Judah on her back, ran towards Chiba Academy.
