Chapter 67 - Chapter 67

The former owner, Hines, practically ran away, terrified that Lynn might change his mind.

As soon as the shop door closed, Edgar could no longer contain his curiosity. He grabbed Lynn's arm and immediately started questioning him.

"So! Lynn! You spent ten thousand Galleons to buy this 'mess.' What kind of business are you actually planning to do? You must have a plan, right? You can't just keep selling this dust-covered junk, can you?"

William also pushed up his glasses and waited for Lynn's answer.

"The main business… naturally, it's the one we already have mature technology for—the 'mobile phone'!"

Lynn pulled out his own phone and waved it in front of them.

"You've already experienced the convenience of this thing. Just imagine if it were officially released in Diagon Alley, allowing more wizards to enjoy the convenience of instant communication. The market prospects would be absolutely enormous!"

William nodded thoughtfully.

"It definitely has potential. There should be a good market for it."

"Exactly!" Lynn snapped his fingers. "And that's just the foundation."

"In the future, we can also release add-on products—other items that can interconnect with the mobile phone."

"Alright, brothers." Lynn clapped his hands. "The shop has been bought. Next come the chores: cleaning, renovating, and decorating."

"I'll handle it myself tomorrow. You two don't need to make a special trip."

"How could that be okay?!" Edgar immediately protested.

"Something this interesting—we obviously have to participate from start to finish! Right, William?"

Although William didn't think "cleaning up junk" sounded particularly interesting, he still nodded.

"With more people helping, it'll be faster."

Seeing their persistence, Lynn stopped refusing. After thinking for a moment, he said,

"Fine. Since you insist on coming… your main task tomorrow will be helping me clear out all the backlogged inventory in the shop."

"Sell whatever can be sold cheaply, and anything that absolutely nobody wants… just dispose of it."

"No problem! Leave it to us!" Edgar replied confidently.

"What about today?" William asked.

"Today?" Lynn stretched lazily. "Go home, of course! It's almost evening. Do you really want to sleep on these dusty shelves?"

Early the next morning, just as the sky began to brighten, Lynn arrived at Diagon Alley alone.

Edgar and William were probably still deep in dreamland.

He couldn't wait to lock the shop door and find the basement.

Lynn hurried down the stairs.

Even though he had been mentally prepared, the sight before him still made him suck in a sharp breath.

This was not a normal basement.

It was an enormous space.

The dome overhead simulated natural daylight, and the surrounding walls were made of solid metal. The area was divided into clear sections for materials, processing, assembly, testing, and more.

The space was so vast that it rivaled the interior of his trunk, which had already been reinforced multiple times with the Undetectable Extension Charm.

What made his heart beat even faster was what stood in the central open area.

Exactly one hundred Alchemy Golems stood there in a perfectly arranged formation.

Their bodies were made of uniform silver-gray metal with smooth lines and flexible joints. They had no facial features—only a faint blue point of light in their chests representing their energy cores.

[BOSS, Serials 1–100, on standby.]

A mechanical voice sounded.

Lynn suppressed his excitement and began learning more about his new "employees."

He soon discovered that the system's description had been completely accurate.

These Alchemy Golems possessed extremely high proficiency in manufacturing alchemical items.

They could precisely and flawlessly execute complex processes such as rune engraving, material fusion, and energy channeling with astonishing efficiency.

However, once the task went beyond this scope—such as cleaning, greeting customers, or even performing simple logical reasoning—they immediately became stiff and awkward.

Hmm… pure production tools.

Lynn grumbled inwardly. They couldn't do anything except work like production machines.

But the system hadn't lied to him.

Without wasting any time, he poured a mountain of alchemical materials onto the floor.

The materials came from a large cloth bag he carried, which had a temporary Undetectable Extension Charm cast on it.

Then he ordered the golems to begin manufacturing mobile phones.

[Command received. Commencing "Communication Terminal" trial production task.]

The Alchemy Golems immediately activated.

They began operating with astonishing efficiency.

Their division of labor was crystal clear.

Some sorted and purified materials.

Some shaped and polished the outer casings.

Others engraved the internal core runes with perfect precision.

Others laid and sealed the energy circuits.

The entire production process flowed smoothly, without the slightest delay or error.

Lynn stood nearby, watching in stunned silence.

Before long, three different models of mobile phones appeared on the testing table in front of him.

One was an extremely minimalist feature phone with only basic buttons, capable of making calls and sending messages.

Another was a smartphone equipped with a crystal touchscreen.

The final one was a limited luxury edition, crafted from precious wood and inlaid with gemstones. It had the same functions as the smartphone but with a far more extravagant appearance.

Each phone contained a built-in anti-tampering self-destruct device designed by Lynn.

If anyone attempted unauthorized disassembly, the device would immediately activate. It would melt all internal precision structures and runes while releasing a burst of energy to erase every critical trace.

In the end, all that would remain was a perfectly ordinary—but rather nice-looking—brick.

This ensured that no matter what kind of alchemy master tried to study it, they would learn absolutely nothing.

If someone could still replicate the technology under those conditions…

Well, then Lynn would simply accept it. They would have earned that money.

Not long after, Edgar and William arrived.

Edgar rubbed his eyes while yawning.

"Lynn, you came way too early! I feel like my pillow is still calling me…"

"I couldn't sleep at all," Lynn replied excitedly. "Just imagining the sound of countless Galleons clinking into my Gringotts vault made me roll around in bed with excitement."

William looked at Lynn's money-hungry expression and sighed.

"…Look at you. Where's the dignity of an Alchemy Competition champion?"

"Hehe. Dignity can't be spent like Galleons."

Lynn waved dismissively and pointed toward the mountain of old inventory inside the shop.

"Alright, brothers. Time to work!"

The three of them immediately began clearing out the shop.

Edgar handled the sorting, muttering nonstop as he examined the items.

"Wow, this Beauty Potion expired ten years ago! Who would dare put this on their face?"

"Is this broom maintenance oil for antique brooms? It's thick enough to be glue!"

William was responsible for cataloging items and determining which ones might still have some value.

He even cast Cleaning Charms on some of the better-looking items to make them appear more presentable.

Lynn handled the heavy lifting and decision-making.

All the useless junk destined for destruction was piled up in the backyard, ready to be burned later.

After an entire day of hard work, the sunset once again cast its warm glow over Diagon Alley.

The once lifeless "Shines' Magic Department Store" had undergone a complete transformation.

The old sign was removed.

In its place hung a plaque carved from dark magical wood, its edges inlaid with flowing runic light. Elegant lettering was engraved across its surface:

"Epoch-Making Alchemy Shop."

The name was simple and direct.

Inside, the shop had been completely redesigned.

All the dusty shelves were removed and replaced with rows of crystal-clear glass display cases.

These display cases had built-in soft lighting and automatic cleaning magic, perfect for displaying delicate and expensive alchemical products.

The previously cramped space filled with junk had become spacious and bright.

The floor was spotless, and the freshly repainted walls gave the shop a clean, minimalist atmosphere.

"Phew—it finally looks like a real shop!"

Edgar collapsed into one of the lounge chairs that had just been moved in for future customers and let out a long sigh.

William wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked around the tidy shop.

"The basic cleaning and layout are finished," he said. "Next comes filling in the details and stocking the shelves."

Lynn looked around and nodded with satisfaction.

"Everything is ready."

He rubbed his chin, his eyes sparkling.

"Now there's only one last step—"

Edgar and William both looked at him.

"Hire some shop assistants," Lynn said with a grin.

"And then… pick an auspicious day for the grand opening!"
