There was nothing to do tonight, and it was still a banquet hosted by the Prince of Pentos.

However, the guest of honor for this evening's banquet had changed to the newly arrived Khal Jilokao, rather than Viserys, and the venue had been moved to Khal Jilokao's residence.

Khal Jilokao had about two thousand mounted warriors, and his tribe was a bit larger; it was a small tribe.

The largest tribes in the Great Grass Sea had over forty thousand warriors, and that was even while the dothraki remained scattered; if unified, the number would only be greater.

Khal Jilokao's tribe was settled on the outskirts of Pentos, consisting of Screamers and even more women, children, and slaves.

The dothraki brought a large number of livestock, camped outside the city walls, quickly erected grass-woven palaces, and devoured everything within sight.

The Khal, however, would come to the seaside palace to enjoy flattery and gifts from the Pentos Magisters.

However, this Khal Jilokao was of a lower status, as his residence only had four high towers.

The people of Pentos were known to judge by status, and the highest level of hospitality was the nine-tower palace.

Sitting on the high platform in the reception hall were the Prince of Pentos and the Dothraki Khal; Khal Jilokao was about twenty or thirty years old and was the strongest warrior in his tribe.

His tribe could only be considered a small power in the dothraki Sea, but in Pentos, he was still an honored guest and a VIP.

Seated below on one side were the Pentos Magisters, and on the other, the Dothraki Screamers. These warriors were all bare-chested, wearing painted leather vests, horsehair leggings, and bronze belts.

Only the Khal and his Bloodriders wore precious belts made of gold or silver.

Viserys mingled with the other Pentos Magisters; when in Rome, do as the Romans do. The Pentos Magisters were also afraid that these two hot-headed guests might cause trouble.

The Dothraki Khal was tall with reddish-brown skin. His long, drooping beard was fastened with silver rings, and his jet-black hair was slicked with oil, braided into countless plaits with silver bells hanging from them.

When the Khals visited the Free Cities, they would wear fine clothes and wear perfume, unlike their subordinates who were crude.

The Prince of Pentos sitting next to him was noticeably tense; after all, everyone knew that the dothraki were a crude and barbaric people.

"This is the gift we have prepared for you," Magister Illyrio said.

The servants opened the cedar chests, revealing dazzling treasures and a wide array of goods.

They were all supplies that the dothraki desperately needed, such as spices, pepper, gold, wine, and honey.

The Khals did not visit for free; every time they arrived, they would take away large amounts of gold, silver, fine wine, meat, and more.

Naturally, the Khals did not come empty-handed; they would gift the people of Pentos slaves and horses, for which the Pentos Magisters would have to pay a substantial reward in return.

Khal Jilokao also noticed Viserys. Among the pot-bellied merchant Pentos Magisters, young dandies, and old men, Viserys truly stood out from the crowd.

He was handsome, not at all as wretched as the average Pentos Magister. His beard was oiled and pointed, and he looked like a heroic and resolute warrior.

Viserys was the only one among the group of Pentos Magisters wearing silver armor, looking nothing like an average resident of Pentos.

"Who is that silver-haired one?" Khal Jilokao asked curiously.

An interpreter relayed the question to the Prince of Pentos.

The Prince of Pentos replied with a smile, "That is King Viserys of the Andalos, our honored guest."

Khal Jilokao noted the name: Viserys, the new King of the Andalos.

He hadn't expected that land of hills to actually have a king.

A thought crossed Khal Jilokao's mind; he had received gifts, and this young man had also received gifts.

A wild thought suddenly occurred to Khal Jilokao: if he couldn't defeat Drogo, could he not defeat the cowardly tyroshi?

Recently, Drogo had been expanding his influence significantly across the dothraki Sea, and no one could match him. To avoid being annexed, he had planned to lay low in Pentos for a while.

From this perspective, the more gold and goods, the better.

As for guest friendship, humph, the Dothraki had always looked down on tyroshi.

Viserys caught the flash of greed in the Khal's eyes. While these Khals were greedy, they were not brainless fools; on the contrary, they possessed a cunning unique to the dothraki.

"Let us raise a glass to the arrival of Khal Jilokao," Magister Illyrio said with a laugh, raising his cup. His words were sweet as honey, which the dothraki found very pleasing.

The Pentos Magisters and Viserys enjoyed roasted steak, roast lamb, fresh fish, honey-glazed roast chicken, mushroom cream soup, oxtail soup, and other dishes more suited to their tastes.

The Dothraki Khal and his Bloodriders feasted on roast horse meat seasoned with honey and pepper, drank fermented mare's milk and fine wine, and laughed and joked with one another.

The dothraki preferred horse meat over any other kind of meat.

Drums rumbled, and the Dothraki women began to dance to entertain Khal Jilokao.

Khal Jilokao laughed heartily, watching the rhythmic movements of the Dothraki women's bodies.

Some Dothraki warriors also watched the dance until one could no longer resist joining in.

Viserys's brow furrowed slightly; it seemed this Dothraki Khal had little regard for the people of Pentos and did as he pleased.

Debauchery sparked conflict, and two Dothraki Screamers began to fight over one of the dancing women.

They shouted angrily, and two Arakhs were immediately drawn.

This was a weapon that was half-sword and half-sickle, with a long, razor-sharp blade.

Blades flashed, radiating coldness. The two Dothraki Screamers cursed each other and attacked with ruthless, wolf-like strikes, battling in the courtyard as the dancers scattered to the side.

This duel was to the death; the two Screamers traded blows, blades swirling.

Until one Screamer was slightly slower, and his opponent seized the opportunity.

"Die!" Death arrived swiftly; the blade slashed across the dothraki's abdomen, and flesh, intestines, and blood sprayed everywhere.

The loser struggled and died, while the victor enjoyed the woman he had claimed right on the spot.

dothraki slaves came over to remove the body, then washed the marble floor with clean water.

Even when beasts arrive in a jungle of civilization, they remain beasts.

Viserys watched these Dothraki Screamers; these people didn't care about their own lives, let alone the lives of others.

Bloodthirsty, cruel, and primitive; at the same time, this dothraki army lacked discipline and would only follow the strongest Screamer.

Argos and Hugo found the scene unbearable, but they understood that this was the custom of the Dothraki; women were property, and life and death were of no consequence.

"Armored cowards, tyroshi." Many dothraki, seemingly drunk, jeered harshly at the armored Viserys and Argos. Argos only understood a little of the dothraki language, but he saw the insulting gestures.

Viserys's expression remained unchanged; he understood the dothraki language but pretended not to hear.

Magister Illyrio watched Viserys intently, afraid that the two sides might start fighting right there.

Khal Jilokao, seated at the head, also watched the events below with amusement but did not stop his warriors; the dothraki only obeyed the strong, even if they were tyrants.

Viserys held back Argos and Hugo, who were itching for a fight. Under the guarantee of the Prince of Pentos, the Dothraki Khal was accustomed to protecting the guests present.

However, this humiliation had made the Andal warriors very angry.

Argos marked those dothraki in his heart; he truly wanted to cut off the heads of these bastards with his sword.

The banquet hall was filled with the scent of blood. Many Pentos Magisters remained as usual, while some newly arrived nobles struggled to control their urge to vomit.

Viserys's expression remained unchanged; this was the beastly nature of the dothraki, and as a guest, he had no obligation to manage them.

So, after finishing this meal tinged with blood, Viserys left the place with the Pentos Magisters.

"tyroshi, tyroshi."

"Armored tyroshi, cowards living in stone houses." As they left, the drunk Screamers jeered and cursed.

The bells on the Screamers' braids jingled, and they made contemptuous gestures toward their own crotches.

The Andal warriors acted as if they didn't see it, remaining silent like a forest, not responding this time.

"Have a good night's rest, His Majesty Viserys," Magister Illyrio said. "The Khal is a greedy guest, but we must still treat him well."

Illyrio assumed that Viserys did not understand the dothraki language and did not understand the dothraki's insults.

"I wish you the same, Magister." Viserys pretended not to understand dothraki, though in fact, he did; Ser Roland was fluent in many languages.

"Move!" Viserys ordered.

The knights surrounded the King, rushing like wolves and tigers toward His Majesty Viserys's palace.

After the Magisters had walked far away, Viserys issued his order.

"Tell our knights to eat early and rest early. There may be a bloody battle tonight," Viserys said.

"You mean a Dothraki ambush?" Argos asked.

"That's right," Viserys nodded.

"This Khal Jilokao is already very tempted by the wealth he has seen, and I fear he wants to steal our share as well."

"As for the dothraki, they will only interpret our lack of retaliation to their provocations as cowardice."
