Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Tracker and Fanatic

Jimmie's room was decorated with vintage military memorabilia, a lot of it handed down to him by his grandfather who served in World War II, also a fighter pilot. Co-existing with all that, was some desert paintings depicting horse-riders, train robbers, and one of Jimmie's idols, Clint Eastwood, in a few of his western movie posters. On the floor and on his dressers were contraptions and gadgets, some in the works and some abandoned.

Jimmie sat at a desk in front of three glowing, flat screen computer monitors and a flashy keyboard. His cellphone was connected to a device that was connected to the computer. On the phone screen was nothing more than a standby screen but on the monitors, Jimmie saw a simplified satellite view of the entire city. He stared at a text on his phone screen that blinked and now read: LOCATING VEHICLE…PLEASE WAIT.

Jimmie clasped his hand behind his head and leaned back against the back rest of the chair. After a few seconds, the natural speaking voice of the monitor broke the silence.

"Your car, Musty Dang, is located in the industrial section of south-east Vista Valley City. It is precisely located off the cross streets of Sooma Blvd and Lime Road in an un-named building."

Jimmie glared at the monitor that showed a blinking dot over a grayed out building. A flame sparked in his clenched stomach.
