It was late in the night at the Rose's mansion, a loud explosion was heard that shook the entire house, Bella had protected herself and Sarah just in time, but not without the help of Sarah's already created safety measures, An orb that absorbs fire Instantly. Even with Bella's shield and the orb the explosion still manageed to burn their clothes and the force launched them through the wall, Bella's body and shield took almost all the impact.
"Are you ok? Bella asked uncertainly looking at Sarah, she shook her when she didn't respond for a while.
"Quit it will you," she moaned, I'm having a bloody headache.
Bella breathed a sigh of relief, at least she seems to be ok, she knew her sister was weak more so than the average female, a blast like that without her help could easily cause severe damage to her, and not only that she knew from first hand experience that Sarah hates pain but still couldn't understand why she keeps doing things so dangerous.
Though small explosions from Sarah's room had been considered normal in the household but this last one beats the rest by miles, her room was literally pitch black smoke oozing from it.
"Are you both ok? Celia called running towards them, knights behind her, we heard the explosion and my god did it give me a fright, I thought you'd be blown to bits, she said grabbing Bella and Sarah pulling them into a tight hug.
"Mark came out of his room somewhere far off In his nightwear, he was fifteen years of age and was mostly a free agent aside from following Andrew that is, he wiped his eyes with his Palm and took the view right in front of him, guards left and right, hallway filled with smoke and Sarah sitting on the floor still in her mother's embrace.
"Is the mad scientist at work again, Mark smiled," I reckon one day you'll blow up this entire house, shouldn't you rinse your face after such heavy work, he smirked raising his hand little drops of water started gathering.
"Oh will you shut up! Bella barked. Mark was startled as to why she who didn't usually interfere was suddenly on Sarah's side.
Celia finally letting go of them asked them what was it all about, Bella looked at Sarah for an explanation, she was tagging along but didn't really know what Sarah was doing.
"I was trying to make a contained explosion, one that can be stored in a mana stone, she said getting up and almost stumbling down again, Bella and her mum caught her, I was using Crystalized organic peroxides and lead Azide, I was trying to mix them together and get them into the mana stone when it exploded, I guess I'll have to start again, she sighed.
"Oh no young miss, you're not starting anything again, her mother said sternly, till your room is fixed you'll have to share a room with Bella, Bella gave a little squeal of joy, and you're lucky your father and Andrew aren't home who knows what they'd have said about all this, luckily I'm lenient so the least I can do it ground you, not like you go outside much anyways.
"Bu-but my stuff, I have other chemicals in there and I have to see if they're still intact, she said trying to go into the Smoky room, one stern stare from her mother froze her in her tracks without stopping she changed her direction towards Bella's room at the end of the hallway and almost hitting Mark who was on the way, Bella trailing behind her Removing debris from Sarah's hair and clothes.
They're mother sighed," what am I going to do with her? And it's almost the middle of the night too.
"Sir Gidley, she said to one of the knights, mark you're to help him, you do possess water magic after all, just dowse the room in water and let the knights do all the rest, mark grumbled but obeyed.
Also Gidley, that girls room is filled with dangerous stuffs I'd appreciate if you don't touch anything that pique your intrests, and tell the others, I don't want you guys in piece after all, she sighed walking away drained.
Sarah sat in Bella's massive pink bed, in one of Bella's pink nightgown that made her look like a butterfly as it was many inches too big, she was reading a book about alchemy, lucky for her she had stored her stash of stolen books in Bella's room before hand.
Bella came from the bath, dressed in a pink nightgown like Sarah, she was thirteen unlike Sarah who was eleven,"so, she started, who was that boy you were calling earlier? The one being guarded by so many knights.She asked taking a book from the piles named mages and magic, she sat on the other end of the bed flipping through it's pages.
"He's a friend I met some time ago, Sarah said not taking her eyes off her book.
Bella sighed,"I must look really stupid to you, don't I?
"Why would you say that, Sarah muttered.
"Well for one you don't leave the house aside from being to the palace once in a while, and honestly if you had said you had met him during one of those your visits it should have been believable, but the prince himself doesn't seem acquainted with him so that's out of the picture, but you said you met him some time ago, I clearly remember you not leaving the house even when begged to till you started visiting the prince at the age of ten, so when could you possibly have met him, and it's not like he has been here before. So how exactly did you get to know him?
Sarah stared at her, she had forgotten Bella wasn't some one who could be fooled easily, she was smart in her own rights, and had great intuition from a young age only clouded by a sense of inferiority. She sighed. " Well I could say it's none of your business now can I?
"Oh, now that's not fair, Bella scoffed," well I was just curious anyways it's not like I was dying to know, but the way the boy looked at you before being pushed Into the carriage he didn't seem like one who knows you, that makes it all the more wierd.
"He was my pen pal, Sarah said Indifferently, we usually send letters to each other occasionally, but recently he stopped, and from the way he described himself from the letters I just assumed it was him and yelled his name on reflex, he reacted now I know it's him, but I didn't think he knows who I am since we've never really met in person.
"Whoa, I did know you were sending letters occasionally, but j thought you were just using dad's name to get ingredients you need, I didn't know you were actively speaking with someone, Bella said covering her face with her book, that's so wholesome.
Sarah stole a glance at Bella, relief spread over her face as she seemed to be buying the lie.
"So how long are you going to have blue hair and murderous teeth, she asked.
"I don't know, the effects doesn't seem to be wearing off so I guess I'll just have to live like this, Sarah replied.
Are you sure? I mean you're not exactly ugly, if anything the blue hair suits you any way but once you open your mouth people are bound to run away, Bella gulped, have you tested them, she pointed at her mouth, your teeth I mean.
"Oh. Sarah said putting the book down and opening her mouth, they're genuine, I rather not show you since I might have a mouth full of dirt, but I bit clean through a chair the other day, and they seem pretty sturdy too. Bella shifted subconsciously.
"Don't worry I don't plan on biting anyone, Andrew aside that is, she said closing her mouth and picking up the book.
"Have you tried using a gift again, Bella said uncertainly, people do tend to develop abilities late after all.
"I do, everyday infact, though just for the fun of it, gift or no gift I'll do what I deem fit, Sarah responded. Also can you use any other gift other than fire?
"No, at least I don't think I can do any other, she replied. Sarah sighed.
"We're you planning on using me as one of your lab rats if I were able to use something else, Bella scoffed.
"No! Sarah lied, I would never.
Bella put don her book fidgeted with her hair, looking at Sarah nervously," so what's your relationship with the prince exactly, she muttered.

"But it's not uncommon for kids of noble families to be betrothed from a young age, and seeing as dad and mum is always making you go to the palace don't you think that'll be the case, Bella interjected.
"I know you like him," Sarah flipped through a couple pages of her book without glancing at them," I not going to get in the way of my sister's romance, besides he was fun at first, but started becoming annoying later, he didn't do anything wrong, don't misquote but he's been fawning over me none stop, I can't tell what his intentions are.
"My Lord, you're a dense one, Bella sighed.
"What do you mean, she asked finally putting down the book, and picking another about the history of knights.
"Don't mind me, I'm just rambling, Bella sighed. So I was wondering since you've known the prince far longer than I have, what does he like, his favorite colours and stuff, does he like accessories and flowers?

"Hurt or not I don't think it's safe to be crying alone in a garden this big, you might go missing, she said. The boy turned around Sarah took in his bloodred eyes, his hands had been torn open by one of the rose, from the looks of it he was trying to gather them.
"Are you dumb, Sarah had crouching near him, of course roses have thorns, she sighed, tearing a bit of her gown, she pulled his hand and wrapped his hand in her torn piece of gown, you should get that checked, she said to the boy, not knowing who he was at the time. He stared at her shocked, he had never met a kid his age that was so blunt and not sympathetic, she didn't even offer to console him, staring at the stone in her hand he said,
"Did you think I was dangerous?
Sarah knowing what he was hinting at tossed the stone away," why would you say that? She asked like nothing happened, they stayed in the garden for a while, Sarah educating the boy about flowers, their seeds and types. They stayed in the garden for long and lost track of time, unaware the entire castle were now searching for them, they were found hours later asleep near the orchids. Both the king and Sarah's parents were stunned, It was a rare sight seeing the prince openly and willingly allow physical contact with someone aside from the queen and even sleep near them none the less, it was decided then that they should become friends in hopes of creating something more, since then Sarah had been made to visit the castle often, though the reason was unknown to her, she obeyed.
Sarah thought deeply about what to tell Bella,what was his favorite color? I don't know, what do I tell her," oh you can get him roses, she suddenly said the more spikes it has the better, she smiled.
Thorns? Bella asked confused.
"Yeah apperantly he really likes them, shrugged Sarah. It took hours for Bella to finally fall asleep, she ash-coloured hair all over the place, for someone who is always composed her sleeping posture was rather hazardous, Sarah I'd shake her just covered her with a blanket and went to Bella's desk where she got a pen and book.
If I'm gonna have to save Carl it's either I play it safe as let our paths cross the when I'll run away in the future or I approach him now and make him my friend before hand, but seeing Carl leaving the castle that day I could help but notice how cold his expressions were, is something going on in his household? In the past I didn't really get to ask him but he always seems to be in trouble with his family. That aside I've learnt of the most powerful magic beast of all time, the red dragon, it's as big as the capital of the kingdom itself according to the legends, and can only be killed by blowing a large chunk of it apart more so it can't regenerate. Also the balisk, that massive creature with the ability to turn others to stone, she was taking notes down as she was thinking and writing it in a language only she understands, that creature could be troublesome, then there's the werewolves and vampires, the conculatia an octopus like creature that walk on land and could easily drag and submerge a fully grown elephant with a tentacle. And they're many more, but these five are the most troublesome for now, and the balisk is the worst since it can turn others to stone, What do I do, she said subconsciously biting into her pen.
"Would a simple eye covering do? I definitely won't be able to fight, but Carl,Carl definitely could.
"Now allies, she said, In my dream the people that helped the kingdom fight the monsters most were only a handful, she started writing down the names.
Vanessa Vain, the knights after Carl in terms of combat strength and accomplishments, According to the stories I heard about her, she was cold and valued efficiency over nothing else, but there's also a rumor that she had a soft spot for Carl but it was never confirmed, she died in the Frontlines and single handedly took on a group of rampaging balisks, she bought time for the rest of the knights to escape but never returned,her body was never found, but one of her arm still clenching her sword was discovered in a mass of slaughtered balisks.
Bella Rose, after turning 23 she enlisted into the army as a support character her being a fire mage and all, she dealt heavy damage and was recognized for her talent instantly, she was promoted and was to stand guard at the palace, she lost to a vampire, Sarah stared at Belle lying carefree on the bed, back then I couldn't go her burial, as almost the same day the orphanage was attacked as by then the kingdom was in s state of lawlessness, but apparently she was the last line of defense for the royal family, and Carl busy protecting the kids from the orphanage and me from thousands of armies that barged Into the place couldn't help her then, it's unsettling, she muttered.
Mike Astrol, the prince of the Kingdom, He was directly above Carl in rank as he was the prince and was the one constantly issuing orders to the shoulders fighting, it wasn't confirmed if he died on not, but it was highly possible since the kingdom did fall to the monsters.
Now, Mark Rose, he wasn't as strong as Bella when it came to magic control or fighting, but his control of water made him highly valuable, as he could purify water and control water from long distances, he helped the kingdoms water supply for years, till he was eliminated by an know faction.
Andrew and father died before I turned 25 and mum out of grief took her own life, so I can't really scale Andrew. Also Mia helsi, a character that was considered a villian and criminal by the kingdom, it was unclear what she did, but was locked up in the dungeons for a long time, and only released to fight monsters when things were dire, her elemental control was not to be trifled with, Sarah thought looking at the names she had written down, though there were others these six contributed more to the kingdom than the king and queen himself. "Now I need to find a way to bring them all together, she muttered. She closed the book, and hid it under the piles off scattered books in the room, I should get some sleep, she yawned, it's not healthy to stay up late.
