"Sorcerer Ancient One, what did you mean by the next stage?"
Having learned some about the Great Destruction, Rhodey curiously asked Sorcerer Ancient One about the next stage she mentioned.
Hearing Rhodey's question, Sorcerer Ancient One smiled and shook her head.
"It cannot be spoken."
Still can't say?
Rhodey was helpless. Since Sorcerer Ancient One said she couldn't say, then no matter how much he pressed, she would definitely not tell him anything.
"Alright, anyway, as long as the problem of the Great Destruction can be solved, whether there's a next stage or not doesn't really matter."
Rhodey nodded and said.
Sorcerer Ancient One just smiled faintly at him, then waved her hand, and the space in front of them suddenly twisted and deformed.
When everything returned to normal, Rhodey found himself on a bustling street.
"This is... Hong Kong?"
Rhodey looked at the various billboards and the Cantonese spoken by passersby around him in surprise, then looked at Sorcerer Ancient One beside him with a bewildered expression, not understanding why she suddenly brought him here.
Moreover;
Rhodey noticed that the people around them seemed to be completely unaware of their presence.
Rhodey even curiously reached out to touch them, only for his hand to pass directly through their bodies!
"Is this... an illusion?"
Rhodey asked.
Sorcerer Ancient One shook her head and said, "No, this is the past, the past from half an hour ago."
Half an hour ago?
Rhodey suddenly remembered that it was around the time he had a Strange feeling that the entire World had undergone an inexplicable change.
Before Rhodey could ask anything else, he suddenly saw two familiar figures appear in front of him.
Long face, slicked-back hair, isn't that Benedict Cumberbatch... oh no, it's Doctor Strange!
And the one accompanying him, isn't that Sorcerer Mordo!
That guy seemed to have betrayed Kamar-Taj because Sorcerer Ancient One drew energy from the Dark Dimension.
So;
Is this the storyline where Doctor Strange fights Dormammu?
Rhodey turned to look at Sorcerer Ancient One.
"Sorcerer, is there a special reason you're showing me this?"
Rhodey asked.
Sorcerer Ancient One then walked up to Doctor Strange, who had stopped, and said, "This is my successor, and also the strongest Sorcerer Supreme in the future. My time is running out. If you encounter any problems in the future, you can go to him."
???
Time is running out?
Sorcerer Ancient One, are you serious?
How do I feel like you can return whenever you want?
The boundary between life and death seems to truly make no difference to you.
Rhodey remained silent.
He felt that Sorcerer Ancient One was trying to trick him.
Of course!
Sorcerer Ancient One's statement that he should seek Doctor Strange if he has questions is certainly correct.
After all, Doctor Strange is the next Sorcerer Supreme, although he was later replaced by Wong due to the Snap.
But at least for the next few years, Doctor Strange will indeed be Kamar-Taj's Sorcerer Supreme.
However, to say that Doctor Strange is the strongest among the retired Sorcerer Supreme?
Rhodey couldn't say whether that statement was true or not.
At least in many Universes, Doctor Strange cannot claim the title of the strongest Sorcerer Supreme.
But it cannot be denied that Doctor Strange in some Universes is indeed very strong.
It's just that I don't know if the Doctor Strange in this Universe is the kind who falls flat, or the kind who goes astray, or the kind who honorably becomes the strongest Sorcerer Supreme?
Hopefully, it's not the middle one.
Rhodey remembered that a demonized Doctor Strange had directly caused an entire Universe to collapse, eventually having to self-seal to avoid affecting the Multiverse.
From Rhodey's perspective, the group of Sorcerers is truly prone to causing trouble.
For reasons Rhodey also doesn't know, those extra-dimensional Demon Gods particularly like to transform their power into spell books for these Sorcerers to read.
If they encounter someone as clear-headed as Sorcerer Ancient One, then it's fine.
At most, they'll just look, but they'll absolutely not use them recklessly!
But if they encounter someone like Kaecilius or Doctor Strange, who cannot let go of their obsession, then it's very easy to cause big trouble.
One wrong move, and collapsing an entire Universe is a very common occurrence.
If they are even more careless, affecting the Multiverse and causing countless Universes to be impacted, that is also possible.
However;
Sorcerers themselves are very fragile beings.
If you don't give them a chance to cast spells, or a chance to use those dangerous spells, then even a single bullet can take the lives of these Sorcerers!
...
While Rhodey was pondering the meaning behind Sorcerer Ancient One's words, Doctor Strange had already started fighting Kaecilius and the others.
As the Dark Dimension's space gradually invaded the main Universe from the sky.
Terrifying dark energy also poured onto this Planet.
Suddenly!
Rhodey's eyes widened as he looked down at his feet.
The moment Dormammu's power invaded, he felt a power deep within the earth beneath his feet seemingly struggling, trying to revive early.
Rhodey looked at Sorcerer Ancient One in surprise, finding her smiling at him.
"That's... Celestials?"
Rhodey asked.
Sorcerer Ancient One's eyes revealed an expression of "You really know," and then she nodded.
"That's right, that's an unawakened Celestial member. When Dormammu invaded, its power tried to awaken early, but it failed."
Sorcerer Ancient One said.
It really is!
Although Rhodey already knew that a member of the Celestials was gestating within the Blue Planet.
But he didn't expect that this guy already possessed self-awareness before being fully gestated!
Moreover;
It even tried to awaken early.
However, it clearly failed.
The gestation of the Celestials is not that simple. For a Celestial member to awaken, it requires the cooperation of the Universe's rules.
If the time is not right, even someone as strong as a Celestial cannot resist the Universe's own rule constraints!
Therefore, even though this Celestial member foresaw Dormammu's invasion and wanted to escape early, it ultimately couldn't do it.
"Wait! Who are those people?"
Rhodey suddenly noticed that in an alley on the left, where there had originally been no one, a rectangular slab-like portal suddenly opened deep within the alley.
