As we came out of the dungeon portal the cool night air filled my lungs. I could still feel the weight of the Abyssal Crocs hits on my body. The Team Leader and the other hunters were already talking loudly about the Masked Reaper who had saved their lives. I was walking behind them quietly. Taking care of my injuries. The Masked Reaper was a deal, to the Team Leader and the hunters and they were all trying to figure out who the Masked Reaper really was. I was just happy that the Masked Reaper had helped us and that we were all alive because of the Masked Reaper.
The moment we got to a place I opened up my System on the screen hiding it in the dark.

You just beat a monster that's way stronger than you and now you get a lot of extra experience points. This is a big deal because the monster was far, beyond your current level so you get a massive bonus of experience points.
A cold smirk pulled at the corner of my mouth. I was looking at 120,000 XP. The System said that if I managed to complete my Class Promotion I would get all of this experience at once which would boost me straight to Level 26. This would put me close, to becoming a D-Rank player. The Class Promotion was a deal and the System was offering me a huge reward, 120,000 XP if I could just get it done.
As I scrolled down the page a bright red message popped up on the screen. It was a blood- notification that caught my attention. The blood-red notification was really eye catching.
[ 2nd Tier Class Promotion Mission: The Untouchable Hunter ]
Objective: Defeat an A-Rank Monster solo.
The main rule is that the host has to be completely safe. This is called the Zero Damage condition. The host cannot get. Scratched or have any bad effects during the whole fight. The Zero Damage condition means the host has to stay perfect and not get any damage all.
If you fail you will lose everything. The Penalty for Failure is very bad. You will lose all 120,000 stored XP. This means it will be gone forever. Your level will also be reset to 10. You will have to start over again with the Penalty, for Failure.
"Zero damage, against an A-Rank?" I felt a cold sweat break out on my forehead.
I thought about the fight my bones got broken and I almost died.
Now the System wants me to get a 'Perfect Victory'.
This is a crazy thing to ask for but it is the only way for me to get the power I really want.
The System is demanding this. I have to do it if I want that power.
I went back, to the Academy the morning and the atmosphere felt different. I changed the display on my Power Mask. I could not stay at Level 1 anymore because I needed to show some progress to avoid people getting suspicious of me. So I set my display to Level 5 on my Power Mask.
Oh look the Trash finally hit Level 5 the Trash is really moving forward now and it is great to see the Trash at this level the Trash is doing well.
I did not even need to turn around to know it was Ryan, the student from the elite class. He walked up with his friends laughing. All that work just to get to Level 5 of the game. Soo-yun is already past Level 12 of the game. Ryan said I am not even good enough to stand in Soo-yuns shadow. Ryan and his friends just kept on laughing at me. The game is really important to Ryan and his friends. They think they are better than everyone just because they are good, at the game. Ryan thinks Soo-yun is the player of the game.
I walked past him without saying a thing. I did not have time for the fights that kids have. My mind was completely focused, on the Zero Damage mission. I was thinking about the Zero Damage mission. How I had to get it right. The Zero Damage mission was all that mattered to me at that moment.
I was back in my dorm room. I was trying out my new Class skills, as a Spectral Blade. To come out on top without getting hurt I had to be really strong. But that was not all. I had to be so good that nobody could even touch me. I had to finish the fight before the guy even knew I was there. I was testing my skills as a Spectral Blade. I wanted to see how well I could do.
The System just popped up a message on my screen all of a sudden. It was really, out of nowhere the System just forced this notification onto my screen.

"A Speed Specialist? You really want me to fail do you not?" I said to myself a glow showing up in my eyes.
I held the handle of my sword tightly. Walked through the dark doorway. I came out into a red desert. The air was full of dust that was blowing around. Then I saw a pair of eyes that were glowing like embers. They were looking at me. It was a wolf. The wolf had fire, over its fur. The flames were moving up and down on the wolfs body.

The wolf jumped at me fast like a big flash of red light. I turned on Tactical Eye away. The wolfs sharp claws barely missed my chest they were that close. If the wolf had been a little bit faster my whole dream of being a Level 26 player would have been over, in an instant. The wolf and Tactical Eye were my focus the wolf was trying to attack me and Tactical Eye was helping me to stay safe.
This wasn't just a fight of strength anymore. This was a dance on the edge of a razor.
