Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: My Wife Is a Rich Babe

Auntie Wang, sensing trouble, froze—she never expected Master didn't know about Miss and Mr. Son-in-law's marriage.

Tears welled in Lin Ruoxi's eyes, but she held them back, her stubbornness shining through. "I've always said I'll decide my own marriage. What if he's a random stranger? I'd rather marry him than Xu Zhihong!"

"You… is that how you talk to your own father?!" Lin Kun snarled. "Fine! All those years raising you went to waste! Don't think you can ignore me just because Grandma gave you control of the company! I still own 30% of the shares—I'm a major shareholder! And I'm your birth father!"

"Birth father? Hmph! Growing up, only Mom and Grandma were there for me. You were never around. And I'll never like Xu Zhihong—save your breath," Lin Ruoxi snapped, her lips trembling.

Lin Kun laughed bitterly in rage. "Like him? So what? He's the young master of the Xu family, future CEO of Donghua Technology—what's wrong with marrying him?! And do you really love this random stranger?!" He jabbed a finger at Yang Chen, who'd stood silently by.

From their argument, Yang Chen pieced it together. This hot-tempered father's pressure had forced Lin Ruoxi into marriage—and their accidental night together had pushed her over the edge.

Being called a "random stranger" repeatedly stung even Yang Chen. He had no intention of playing the obedient son-in-law. Frowning at Lin Kun's pointing finger, he said calmly, "Uncle, move your finger. It's dangerous."

Lin Kun sneered. "You bastard—dare you speak to me? I had you investigated. You're just a kebab vendor at the market! I don't know what you did to my daughter, but in my eyes, you're worse than shit… Agh—what did you do?!"

In a flash, the arrogant Lin坤 yelped, clutching his hand and collapsing onto the carpet. Sweat poured down his forehead.

"Yang Chen… you…" Lin Ruoxi watched in shock. In an instant, Yang Chen had squeezed her father's pointing finger—so fast it looked like nothing had happened.

Yang Chen smiled calmly at her. "Nothing. I don't like being pointed at or insulted—especially after warning him it's dangerous… His finger's broken. It'll heal in ten to fifteen days." Truth be told, in his past life, he wouldn't have just broken the finger—he'd have crushed the man's skull.

Lin Kun roared through the pain. "You'll pay for this! Bastard! I'll have you killed! I'll—agh!"

"Dad… stop! How's your hand…" Lin Ruoxi hated her father, but blood was thicker than water. Seeing his agony, she softened and knelt to help him.

"You bitch! Don't touch me!" Lin Kun shoved her hard, sending her crashing to the floor.

"Dad… you…" Lin Ruoxi's face paled. Hearing her own father call her a bitch, her vision blurred—she nearly fainted.

Auntie Wang cried in distress, helpless as a servant. She rushed to comfort Lin Ruoxi, who lay on the floor, tears spilling.

Lin Kun staggered to his feet, glowering at Yang Chen. "You remember this—you hit me! I, Lin Kun, will make you regret ever being born!"

Watching him push Lin Ruoxi down, Yang Chen's heart twisted. Cold as she was, she was his legal wife now. A violent surge of anger welled up unbidden.

Yang Chen's face remained eerily calm, a mocking smirk tugging at his lips. "I'll say this once: I rarely cause trouble… I don't know what's between you and my wife, and I don't care. But I have one rule—I hate being threatened…"

Before Lin Kun could react, a palm struck his left cheek like lightning!

Crack!

The living room fell silent. Lin Kun, who'd stood moments ago, lay unconscious on the floor.

"Mr. Son-in-law… this…" Auntie Wang gaped, too stunned to question his inhuman strength. "What do we do now? This is a mess…"

Lin Ruoxi lay limp in her arms, hollow-eyed, indifferent to everything.

Yang Chen shrugged. "Auntie Wang, take care of Ruoxi. I'll handle this idiot."

He slung the unconscious Lin Kun over his shoulder effortlessly, strolling out the gate. After a short walk, he dumped Lin Kun into a public trash bin and slammed the iron lid shut.
