Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 : I Was Truly Surprised by What Happened

Just before the man could kill Arashi, a gate suddenly opened. The air around it grew heavy, as if it was pulling the atmosphere itself inward. The man screamed loudly, his voice filled with frustration and urgency, shouting that his time here was over and that he did not want it to end this quickly.

Arashi looked at him with confusion and disbelief, as if silently asking what this nonsense was and what kind of madness he was witnessing. The gate pulled the man's body into it as if it were devouring him, then vanished completely, as though it had never existed at all.

Shock filled Arashi's face as he turned his gaze toward the city. It was completely destroyed. A strange feeling overwhelmed him, something he couldn't control. Tears began to fall, and he spoke in a voice heavy with sorrow, asking himself why he was crying. His voice echoed through the silent, ruined space, as if it were bouncing off invisible walls in an empty world.

He stood there with his back to the devastation, clenching his fist with resolve. The silence, mixed with the sight of the injured and the fallen, created a deep sense of fear. Then, just before sunrise, he spoke with quiet confidence, reflecting that the battle had lasted nearly a full day. The sky above was clear, the kind of calm morning sky where scattered clouds drift without any sign of rain.

Arashi began walking through the destruction with steady confidence, hands in his pockets, his presence calm and composed despite everything around him.

In another scene, he headed to school. It all happened quickly. He had already prepared his clothes and taken care of everything at an incredible speed. He entered the school building wearing his uniform, only to witness something he could never forgive.

Rin was standing there, and in front of her was a boy. Fear was clear on her face, as if she wanted to call out for help but couldn't. The boy clenched his fist and told her that if she didn't agree to be with him, he would force her. His punch shot forward, fast and powerful, aimed directly at her face.

But suddenly, Arashi appeared in front of her. He dropped slightly and caught the incoming fist before it could reach her. Rin slowly opened one eye, realizing the attack never landed. She saw Arashi standing there and smiled, almost as if she had been waiting for him. Then she stood up and shouted loudly, praising him.

Encouraged, Arashi moved instantly. His strike cut through the air with incredible speed as he landed the first hit, forcing the opponent to stagger backward slightly.

In that moment, as the boy rushed at Arashi again, the atmosphere seemed to freeze. Everything around them felt like it was watching in heavy silence. Arashi stood firmly in front of Rin without even glancing back, as if her safety was already guaranteed. The boy didn't hesitate and charged forward with full confidence, throwing a direct punch at Arashi's face.

Arashi didn't react recklessly. He simply tilted his head slightly, letting the punch pass by with the smallest margin, as if time itself had slowed just for him. Then he stepped forward and struck the boy's shoulder with force, sending him stumbling backward several steps. A brief look of confusion crossed the boy's face before he regained focus.

Refusing to give up, the boy attacked again with greater speed, unleashing a barrage of strikes from every direction, trying to overwhelm Arashi completely. But Arashi moved with an eerie calm, dodging every attack with minimal motion, as if his body already knew where each strike would land. His movements were precise, effortless, and without wasted energy. As the exchange continued, the boy began losing rhythm, while Arashi remained composed, observing with steady eyes until he finally spoke in a low voice, saying that his movements were fast but predictable.

Those words ignited anger within his opponent, who shouted and charged again with everything he had.

The boy lifted his leg for a powerful downward strike, but Arashi raised his arm and blocked it firmly. He grabbed the leg and slammed him to the ground with force, shaking the surface beneath them as dust rose into the air. Yet the fight didn't stop. Before the dust could settle, the boy leaped again and struck toward Arashi's abdomen. This time, Arashi didn't dodge. He took the hit and slid back slightly, then raised his head and looked at him calmly, a faint smile appearing on his face as if he had begun to enjoy the fight. He simply said that it was good, and in the next instant, he vanished.

He reappeared behind his opponent and struck him hard in the back, sending him forward. Without stopping, he followed with a combination of attacks, a punch to the face, an elbow strike, then a powerful kick to the stomach. Each hit was faster and more precise than the last, perfectly calculated. The boy tried to respond, but he couldn't keep up anymore. Every attempt to land a hit failed as Arashi moved around him effortlessly, as if he existed outside the fight itself. Arashi told him calmly that relying only on strength was a mistake, and those words felt like the final warning.

The boy screamed again and launched a desperate, unbalanced attack, but Arashi paused for just a brief moment before stepping forward and delivering a single strike. It was enough. It broke through his defense completely and hit him directly in the chest. For a split second, everything seemed to stop. Then the boy was sent flying backward, crashing onto the ground with force.

Silence filled the area. As the dust slowly faded, Arashi stood there calmly, his breathing steady, his expression unchanged, as if nothing significant had happened.

Behind him, Rin watched with clear admiration. He didn't turn to her. He simply said that it was over.

Yet deep inside, he felt that this was not just a simple fight. It was the beginning of something much bigger, something already moving forward, even if he didn't fully understand it yet.
