"Since you are so energetic, I'll give you something to worry about."
Sol's voice carried across the battlefield. It was calm. Almost conversational. Yet somehow, it inspired more fear than his earlier screams and roars.
The amber flames surrounding the distant destruction suddenly changed colour. Their brilliant golden glow dimmed, replaced by an increasingly intense azure radiance. The transformation spread across Sol's enormous body, and within seconds, the entire battlefield was bathed in blue light.
Then came the heat.
A terrifying heatwave swept across the Imperial Capital.
It spread through the streets, over the rooftops, and beyond the city walls, extending for hundreds of miles. Soldiers stationed within a hundred-mile radius felt their bodies grow unbearably hot. Some collapsed almost immediately, their consciousness slipping away before they could understand what was happening.
Others screamed as their armour began melting against their bodies.
