Chapter 104 - Chapter 104: Thor: Lumberjack? No, I'm Family Man

In the comics, the Marvel Universe included pantheons like the Chinese gods, but Lucas wasn't sure about the cinematic universe.

In the movies, the Norse Pantheon (Asgard/Thor) was obviously front and center.

Then there were the Greek Gods, represented by Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder, and Hercules, who was teased to appear later.

Besides them, Moon Knight introduced the Egyptian Ennead, operating from the shadows.

Those were the big three confirmed on screen.

But Thor's words just now confirmed that other pantheons were hiding in the dark, ready to emerge at any moment.

Just because they hadn't appeared in the original movie timeline didn't mean they didn't exist. Most of them seemed to hang out in Omnipotence City.

That place was a cosmic VIP club where gods from every galaxy and race gathered—including Earth's various pantheons. Eons ago, cosmic deities fought terrible wars against each other. The casualties were so high that they eventually established Omnipotence City as a neutral ground to mediate conflicts.

Since Thor explicitly mentioned the Chinese Pantheon, it meant they existed in this messy, blended universe. Whether other obscure pantheons were included was anyone's guess.

And even if they were all "gods," the power levels between comics and movies were vastly different.

Movie Thor was just "kind of strong." Comic Thor? The older he got, the more broken he became. Old King Thor could punch out a planet without breaking a sweat.

"You don't need to wait for the future to thank me. I have one request right now," Lucas said, cutting to the chase.

"Name it," Thor replied.

"I want to see Asgard's magic books. Not the top-secret forbidden scrolls—just the general public stuff. Let me borrow them," Lucas stated his terms.

He had wanted to learn Asgardian magic for a long time. If he didn't want to deal with the Ancient One's time-travel shenanigans, Odin was his best bet.

Of course, he wasn't arrogant enough to ask for the Odinforce manual. Just the basics would do.

"Is that all? Come back to Asgard with me. I'll ask Father to open the Royal Library for you," Thor said easily.

To him, this was a small favor. Asgard had spent thousands of years conquering the Nine Realms and beyond; they had collected countless magic tomes. His father, mother, and brother were all magic experts. Thor just... never had the patience for it. He preferred hitting things.

But more importantly, Thor had a secret agenda.

A new plan had just formed in his mind—one he hadn't shared with anyone.

He wanted Lucas in Asgard.

He wanted Lucas to look around, get inspired, and write more diary entries.

Lucas had called him a "Cursed Brother"—someone who would get his father, mother, and brother killed. Thor couldn't ignore that prophecy.

If a random person said it, he'd laugh. But this was Lucas.

Thor knew his father would die of old age eventually—the diary confirmed he only had a few years left. But his mother?

The diary said Frigga would die because of Loki's schemes. Specifically, Loki trying to mess with Thor, which accidentally led to their mother's death.

But what scheme? What accident? The diary didn't say.

And because of the "Spoiler Warning" penalty, Thor couldn't ask directly.

Fury's earlier behavior gave him an idea: he couldn't ask, but he could influence. If he brought Lucas to Asgard, maybe seeing Frigga or the palace would trigger a new diary entry with more details.

That was why he agreed so quickly.

If opening the entire Royal Library could save his mother, he wouldn't hesitate for a second.

Books were just paper. Family was everything.

Family. Family. Family.

Dom Toretto would be proud.

Thor kept this thought hidden. Even though he was cooperating with Fury and Tony, he didn't fully trust them. Just as they had "Anti-Thor" plans, Thor had a basic "Non-Asgardians have different hearts" caution.

He could overlook a lot of things, but when it came to his family's survival, he had to be careful.

"Deal." Lucas was surprised it was that easy. He turned to Tony. "Mr. Stark, wire the money to my account later. You know the details."

"Yeah, will do," Tony waved a hand.

One hundred million was pocket change to him.

Lucas instinctively wanted to avoid dealing with Fury and his spies. Those guys were too deep, always calculating, always plotting. It conflicted with Lucas's life goal of being a salted fish (slacker).

"Alright, let's go," Thor said.

They walked out of the crater base. Thor looked up at the sky and shouted.

"Heimdall! Open the Bifrost! Bring us home!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, the clouds split open. A massive rainbow beam crashed down, tearing through the void and enveloping them in terrifying spatial energy.

"Just follow the beam!" Thor shouted over the roar.

He spun Mjolnir and flew straight up into the light.

Lucas followed, his bio-field flaring as he shot into the wormhole.

"Heimdall... the legendary Guardian of the Bifrost," Fury muttered, watching them disappear.

His expression was heavy as the rainbow light faded.

In Norse mythology, Heimdall was born from Odin and nine mothers. Yes, nine mothers gave birth to him simultaneously. It was weird.

Mythologically, that made him Thor's brother. But in reality? Asgard only had two princes.

Thor, the God of Thunder. And Loki, the God of Mischief.

There were no other princes.
