"Zeus, try this."
"Zeus, try this."
Zeus looked at the now 'nanny-fied' Hades, feeling a deep headache. Was she being treated like a newborn baby? It was sickeningly sweet. And how long would she have to maintain this state? Although she grumbled inwardly, Zeus, unable to refuse Hades's eagerness, had to tighten her black cloak to hide the goosebumps Hades had provoked, then bravely endured the shame and ate the dessert Hades offered.
"It tastes pretty good. Did you make it yourself?"
Feeling the sweet taste in her mouth, Zeus asked curiously.
"Yes, for you, I specifically sought out human books to learn. If you like it, I'll make it for you every day."
Looking at Zeus tenderly, Hades said with a smile. To ensure Zeus enjoyed the best food and the warmest home, she had put in a lot of effort. If she couldn't cook, she learned to cook; she studied human culture to help her create the most comfortable residence. She absolutely wanted Zeus to feel like she had a home.
Once a woman gets used to the existence of a home, she will no longer want to wander outside.
This was something Hades read in a book in the human world, and she found it very reasonable, so she followed this method. It was just a pity that her sister was not an ordinary 'woman'; beneath that beautiful exterior was an unyielding, strong male heart.
Not responding to Hades's warmth, Zeus lowered her head and looked at the teacup in her hand, at her reflection in the tea. She naturally understood Hades's meaning. Although her emotional intelligence was low, it didn't mean her intelligence was low. But she didn't dare to respond to Hades's feelings. For this elder sister, besides gratitude (for saving her from the tiger's den), she only felt familial affection.
Moreover, her current situation did not allow her to love.
If it were in the past, she might have had a 'romance' with her elder sister, but being relentlessly pursued by Gaia, and then implicating her sister, Zeus would never do such a morally reprehensible thing.
Feeling a strong and warm embrace and that familiar voice, Zeus felt a little uncomfortable. She really wasn't suited for such a warm environment. She was like a fugitive now, truly the most pathetic God King and Transmigrator in history.
"It's nothing! Perhaps the hidden injuries from childbirth haven't healed yet!"
Zeus confessed to Hades. When she learned that Hades was pursuing her, to make her give up, she had even told her about giving birth to Athena and another child. But Hades didn't care at all and continued to dote on Zeus with her usual tenderness.
The reason Zeus gave Hades now was not a lie. Her divine body had still not fully recovered. Although she was a god, giving birth to Adam had almost cost Zeus her life. If Zeus hadn't been so resilient, she might have died in childbirth. Of course, this was related to her own actions at the time.
"Do you need me to find the God of Medicine?"
Looking worriedly at Zeus in her arms, Hades gently placed a hand on Zeus's lower abdomen, sending gentle divine power to Zeus to help suppress the hidden injuries in her body.
"I'm sorry to have worried you. Just let me rest a bit, and I'll be fine."
Zeus slightly raised her head to look at the concerned eyes of the other person, feeling a sudden warmth in her heart, her nose tingling slightly, feeling as if tears were about to fall. Realizing her unusual state, Zeus gently pushed Hades away, leaving that warm and secure embrace. Zeus adjusted her black cloak, walked to the window, looked at the flower sea outside, and said to Hades.
"Then, you rest well. I will guard you closely."
Hearing Zeus's words and the distance in her tone, Hades was not angry. She smiled at Zeus, who was staring out the window lost in thought, and then turned and left.
As Hades turned to leave, Zeus, who was looking out the window, turned her head to watch her sister's retreating back, her eyes revealing a complex expression. She was truly at her wit's end now. Should she agree to Hades and form a divine marriage with her, or continue to flee, gather strength, defeat Gaia, and restore a peaceful and free life? These two choices were now before Zeus. Forming a divine marriage with Hades would officially make them husband and wife, just like Zeus's father god and mother god, and they would fight Gaia together. The second path was more difficult, considering Zeus's comprehension.
To cultivate to the Ten Senses would take at least several thousand or even tens of thousands of years. Compared to those transmigrators who could defeat gods in less than ten years, Zeus was simply too weak.
"What should I do about you? My sister Hades."
No longer thinking about such a headache-inducing matter, Zeus looked at the seemingly endless sea of flowers, struggling internally.
While Zeus struggled internally, Hades, in a good mood, was handling her work. She felt that the time to win over Zeus was not far off. This was exactly like the idiom of boiling a frog in warm water written in the book. Now, Zeus was a wounded little beast, licking her wounds alone in a lonely corner.
Afraid to make contact, afraid to be hurt again, Hades adopted the method described in the book to slowly melt the ice in Zeus's heart. Zeus had no idea that her sister had adapted so quickly to modern culture, and was using it on her.
"You seem to be in a good mood!"
Hades, who was easily dealing with her work, heard this loli voice with a strong milky scent, and her face instantly darkened. That old nuisance was bothering her again.
"I say, Hades! Can't you just not look at me with such a sour face every time you see me? I am your elder after all. I'm not as cold and ruthless as Gaia. I truly cherish my descendants… (One thousand words omitted here)."
If a person who is diligently working and in a good mood is interrupted and forced to listen to the other person's various complaints, and all of them are trivial matters, then her heart must be filled with extreme anger.
Hades's fingers were already squeezing out golden blood, and the quill pen had long been crushed to powder. Now, Hades's forehead was throbbing with veins, wishing she could strangle a certain elderly loli. Sometimes Hades even wondered if Gaia had sealed her away because she talked too much.
"Hey! Listen to me… (blah blah blah)."
Completely unaware of the rude thoughts in her descendant's head, a certain loli god continued to babble.
This only confirmed Hades's internal suspicion.
"This person's mouth must have been borrowed, and she's rushing to return it."
Thinking such rude thoughts, Hades quickly dealt with the matters at hand. She still had to continue 'conquering' her sister, the adorable Zeus-chan.
