Chapter 117 - Chapter 30: Honjou Nia

Artemisia Bell Ashcroft has been feeling a bit unsettled lately, sensing that something big is about to happen. As one of the world's top magicians, her intuition is usually very accurate. She just doesn't know what will happen, whether it will be good or bad. Suguu Mana, who was ranked alongside her, defected to an organization capable of rivaling DEM, and she took over Mana's Adeptus 2 position when she joined DEM. Her current task is to guard the Spirit Research Institute on Niliru Island, though she doesn't particularly like this assignment.

"Spirits, all of them, should be eliminated." She murmured, watching the setting sun by the sea, expressing her thoughts to the ocean.

"Oh~! Is that so? Is that your wish?"

"Yes... Who?"

She alertly leaped from her spot, ten meters away from where the sound originated. Amisia (a shortened form of Artemisia) turned to look in the direction of the voice and was instantly startled by the other party's beauty. After two seconds of stunned, she realized that the other person was not someone she knew, or someone from the island, and her guard went up.

"Good moves, like a little kitten."

Kuesumi looked at the other party's wary expression, feeling a subtle cuteness in her heart.

"State your name, outsider."

Having recovered, Amisia spoke to Kuesumi again, but her heart was still stunned by how Kuesumi had approached her without any sound or presence. This was definitely not something an ordinary person could do, and thinking this, cold sweat broke out on Amisia's forehead.

Activating her ability, Kuesumi watched Amisia's inner turmoil, a slight smile playing on her lips as she said to Amisia, "Guess."

"Since you won't answer, I'll treat you as an intruder and execute you on the spot."

"What big words!"

Kuesumi watched Amisia put on her Realizer unit, which resembled a blue cat, and spoke mercilessly. In her heart, though, she was still amused by this fellow's appearance, as felines are quite cute after all.

"You'll know if you try." As she spoke, she swung the long sword in her hand at Kuesumi, with the intent of cutting her in two.

Looking at the attack that was already upon her, Kuesumi curled her lips in disdain: "ATF Field."

"Clang~"

"Nani?"

Watching a thin film of light effortlessly block her attack, Amisia was shocked. She quickly put distance between herself and Kuesumi, unsure if she could defeat Kuesumi now.

"What's wrong? Is that all? And here I was expecting the power of one of the world's top magicians. What a disappointment~"

With a completely villainous expression, Kuesumi looked down on Amisia, making her gnash her teeth, wanting to bite someone.

She glanced at the sun, slowly setting on the horizon. Kuesumi had something to do tonight and couldn't continue playing here. Her gaze became slightly serious as Kuesumi said, "Since you won't attack, then I will."

With that, Kuesumi's figure faintly disappeared. Before Amisia could react, a huge pain shot through her abdomen. Her lower abdomen was hit with immense force, and Amisia's entire body arched like a shrimp. She flew out, and the vanished Kuesumi slowly stood in Amisia's previous position. She hadn't disappeared; she had just moved too fast. Amisia's eyes couldn't keep up with Kuesumi's speed. After breaking several large trees, Amisia stopped, her entire body struggling on the ground.

"Pffft... cough, cough." Looking at the fresh blood she coughed up, there was no doubt that if she had been wearing an ordinary Realizer unit, she would have been pierced through long ago and wouldn't be lying here.

"Oh, you're still alive. I'm so sorry to cause you such pain. I should have just punched you into a pulp. That way, you wouldn't have suffered so much."

"Pfft."

Kuesumi stepped on Amisia's lower abdomen, like a serial killer, making her spit out another mouthful of blood. She watched the changes in her eyes, from terror to despair, then to indignation. Now, this top magician's honor and nobility were being trampled under Kuesumi's feet, completely unable to move.

"I don't like to strike a second time at those who aren't dead. You're lucky this time; I didn't use my full strength. For now, I'll let you off. Don't let me see you again."

Kuesumi grabbed Amisia's slender neck and lifted her up.

"Good luck."

She placed the struggling Amisia on an ATF Field, increasing its softness to make it like a trampoline. Amisia, unable to speak due to internal injuries and with a hint of despair in her eyes, was bounced away. Where she landed was up to her own fate.

"Now, let's begin the rescue (crushing) plan!"

With that thought, Kuesumi slowly walked towards the institute.

"Yamete... No, please don't kill me."

"A demon, a demon has descended."

"Is this the end of the world?"

Kuesumi coldly watched these people crying and screaming, all seemingly respectable from the outside. But their secrets were laid bare before Kuesumi's eyes. That seemingly kind old man, for example, had kept newborn babies for human experimentation, having already killed nearly three hundred children.

And that seemingly cute little girl, you would never have imagined how twisted she was inside. Every day, when no one was looking, she would stick needles into Nia's breasts. Because of Nia's fast recovery, it was completely undetectable. She was jealous of Nia's beauty, using the thickest needles to stab Nia's face a dozen times every day.

These individuals, one after another, wearing human skin, called themselves researchers here. They did have some skill, otherwise, Realizer units wouldn't have been created. They opened Nia's head, installing one magical device after another. They cut open Nia's abdomen, observing Nia's internal organs, and so on... Tearing off their limbs, she didn't look at the garbage wriggling on the ground like silkworms. Letting them die too quickly now would be too easy for them. They needed to slowly experience this process of death. At that time, she would take out the magic lamp Hades gave her and put their souls into it so they could enjoy it thoroughly, until their souls were completely burned out.

"I'm sorry, I'm late."

Kuesumi looked at the tragic figure on the operating table, her tongue removed. Her heart felt as if it was being squeezed tightly by a hand, and a sense of guilt emerged within Kuesumi. "I'm sorry, I played for too long. I'm so sorry for coming to save you so late."

"Holy Healing Spell."

Opening her grimoire, Kuesumi cast a high-level healing spell. Gentle light illuminated the cold laboratory, and Nia's missing body parts grew back. But her lifeless eyes still looked up at the ceiling, so helpless.

"Let's go home!"

She violently tore open the confinement, turning it into a sheet to wrap Nia's naked body. She whispered softly in her ear, and a faint ripple appeared in Nia's lifeless eyes. But Kuesumi, who was holding her, didn't notice. She carried Nia out of the research institute, flew above the small island, and looked at the beautiful environment with disgust. No one could have imagined that such a beautiful place could hide such a dirty one underneath.

"Since that's the case, then don't exist."

"Super Gale Burst Bomb."

Huge wind and light attribute magic power, in Kuesumi's hand, was like a well-behaved child, a tranquil mass.

Without any hesitation, Kuesumi casually tossed the massive orb of light. The docile wind and light elements began to rage, spreading across the entire island. In less than thirty seconds, the small island completely vanished.

Kuesumi gently held Nia and flew towards Neon.

However, a major incident had also occurred in Neon: Tohka had been kidnapped.
