Chapter 111 - Chapter 24: Duet

By the time the two returned, it was already dark.

Kurumi was bored and almost falling asleep sitting there.

"What's wrong? You're back so late."

Kurumi fiddled with a strand of hair and said to Kyōji Kujō, who had just returned.

"Something came up, and we went quite far."

"Don't cook tonight.

Let's eat out."

Seeing Kurumi about to prepare dinner, Kyōji Kujō quickly said.

"Eh~! Where are we going to eat?"

"Huaxia."

"Eh... Eh~~"

Five minutes later, Kyōji Kujō, Kurumi, and Muku appeared in Huaxia's Hot Pot Capital, enjoying various foods and drinks.

You ask about money?

The black card borrowed from Tohka was enough.

After eating, they went to Italy.

She heard that the handmade ice cream there was excellent.

It's said that a large yellow octopus goes there every day to eat.

"What a convenient ability, my dear!"

Holding Muku, who had fallen asleep from exhaustion, Kuesumi agreed with Kurumi.

She had often done this before, allowing her to eat delicacies from all over the world.

It had to be said that instant teleportation was an ability foodies dreamed of.

How helpful it was to eat all the world's delicacies in a short time!

The next few days, the three of them spent in a peaceful life.

Kuesumi was accidentally 'eaten' by Kurumi two or three more times, and as time went on, Kurumi became increasingly bold, almost doing it on the balcony once.

Recently, Muku seemed to have discovered something, but being naive in this area, she didn't know that Kurumi was 'doting on' her important older sister.

For some reason, she just couldn't bring herself to like Kurumi.

Seeing Kurumi's spirited appearance, she felt a wave of annoyance, as if something important was being secretly defiled by Kurumi.

These past few days, Kuesumi had gained quite a lot.

As she delved deeper into her understanding of Spirit Power, besides Kurumi's Spirit Power, the Spirit Power of Muku, Kotori, and Tohka also began to slowly activate.

There were already active fluctuations, and Miku's Spirit Power also showed signs of awakening.

However, Kuesumi hid it very well, preventing the Cherubim System from activating.

Now was not the time; only after Kuesumi had activated all ten Sefirot's Spirit Power could she solve Mayuri's problem.

She absolutely had to let this child live fully in this world.

"My dear~"

Kurumi hugged Kuesumi's slender waist from behind, her tone ambiguous as she called out to Kuesumi.

Like a cat in heat, her hands on Kuesumi's body also became restless.

"What is it?"

"Didn't you see Muku watching?" Kuesumi swatted away the mischievous hand, complaining inwardly.

"Hmm~~, a message from my clone.

Shiori and the others are back from their school trip, and they successfully sealed a pair of twin Spirits." Kurumi covered her reddened hand, looking helplessly at the displeased Kuesumi.

"We're like an old married couple, why are you still acting shy?" If Gaia or Alaya heard you say that, Kurumi, you'd be in for it.

"Anything else?"

"Yes, someone named Miku called you.

You weren't here at the time, so I answered.

She invited you to the stadium tonight."

Kurumi said curiously, her arm around Kuesumi's.

"Who is this Miku?"

"What does that girl want with me? Never mind, I'll know when I get there."

Kuesumi thought, comforting the jealous Muku.

Then she patted Kurumi back to her seat.

That evening, after settling the two of them, Kuesumi instantly teleported to the entrance of the stadium, skillfully opened the back door, and walked in.

"Welcome, you're here."

As soon as she entered, she saw Miku waiting on the stage, wearing her Astral Dress.

She wondered what Miku was planning.

"Is there something you need?"

Kuesumi asked, looking around to see no one else but Miku.

"I want to ask you to accompany me, to create our own song together."

Miku excitedly told Kuesumi her purpose; it seemed she truly loved music.

"I can help you with that."

"Thank you so much, Kuesumi-chan."

Without commenting on Miku's 'chan', Kuesumi took the sheet music she handed her.

It wasn't very difficult; after a quick read-through to memorize it, she handed the score back to Miku.

A violin would be enough.

"Let's practice a bit!"

Kuesumi gestured to Miku, then walked onto the stage with her.

She took out her violin and played the prelude, letting Miku get used to her rhythm.

Seeing Miku's satisfied expression, Kuesumi didn't know what she was imagining.

Kuesumi wasn't interested in using her abilities to peek into the little girl's thoughts, so after calmly playing the last note, Kuesumi asked about Miku's state.

"Don't worry, I'm perfectly fine now."

Miku said happily.

Seeing her like this, Kuesumi said nothing.

She adjusted her violin, and the two began, with Kuesumi playing and Miku singing.

Unexpectedly, Miku got carried away while singing and intentionally triggered a Spatial Quake.

Both of them, fully immersed in the music, didn't notice.

"That's!"

Shiori, attracted by the sound, saw this scene and was somewhat stunned.

She stared blankly at Kuesumi playing the violin on stage.

Having only recently learned how amazing Kuesumi was, she was a little surprised to see Kuesumi gently playing the violin.

She also observed the other girl, who seemed to be a Spirit.

She didn't recognize her; she might be a new Spirit.

"Shiori, pay attention.

One is an old opponent, and the other is a Spirit identified as Diva."

Kotori, on the airship in the sky, chewed on a lollipop, watching the beautiful scene below.

She frowned.

Ever since that soul-piercing Spirit Cannon on the rooftop, she felt a slight tremor in her legs whenever she saw Kuesumi.

However, after being sealed again by her older sister, she was now much calmer.

"What do you all think?"

Kotori looked at her subordinates below and asked.

"It would be better to retreat for now.

Since there are two Spirits, it would be difficult to capture either one first."

Reine analyzed the situation and stated her thoughts, but there are always unexpected events.

"Clang~~"

The stadium lights were too dim, only shining on the stage.

All others were off, as there were no major events.

So, Shiori accidentally kicked some leftover trash when she moved slightly.

This noise disrupted Kuesumi's rhythm, making her stop.

With the rhythm broken, there was no point in continuing.

Kuesumi looked regretfully at the bewildered Miku.

"Who's there? Come out!"

"Come out and show yourself!"

Miku angrily spoke to the dark area below the stage.

Not only was she bewildered, but everyone on the airship was also bewildered.

They could only grit their teeth and let Shiori go up.

"Oh, what a cute child you are.

Then I'll forgive you for disturbing us."

Miku looked at Shiori, who had come onto the stage, and her anger instantly vanished.

If Shido had been standing there now, Miku would probably have killed him.

"Never mind, let's play together another day.

I'm leaving now."

Glancing at Shiori, who was covered in cold sweat, Kuesumi had no interest in staying.

She bid farewell to Miku and instantly teleported away, disappearing from the spot.

This left Miku a little disappointed; she had wanted to spend more time with Kuesumi.

"Shiori, you should retreat too!

The AST will be here soon."

Seeing Kuesumi disappear, Kotori quickly gave Shiori the order.

But it seemed they were a step too late.

"Boom~~"
