Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 - " A Silent Trust !"

The night had grown darker.

While the other rooms in the house were shrouded in shadows, a soft light still spilled from Anaya's window.

Her laptop sat open in front of her.

The WebNovel page lit up the screen.

A handful of new comments had popped up beneath her story.

She read each one carefully.

One person had commented—

"The feelings in this story seem so real."

Another wrote—

"Can't wait for the next chapter!"

The number of views on her story was gradually increasing.

Even though there weren't many comments yet...

She didn't let that bother her as much anymore.

Today, she realized something important—

Sometimes, just one *right* reader is worth more than hundreds of others.

Suddenly, she remembered their conversation from earlier that evening.

Sitting on the terrace, Aarav had effortlessly mentioned her story...

"If you stopped writing... where would I find the next chapters of my favorite tale?"

Anaya smiled softly.

She never imagined that the boy with whom her family was arranging a marriage...

Would end up being a fan of her story.

And not just any fan...

But maybe her most genuine supporter as well.

Someone who accepted her dreams without hesitation.

It felt like something new and exciting for her.

She stood up from her chair and moved to the window.

Outside, the street was mostly empty.

Dim yellow streetlights shone as far as she could see.

A strange calm hung in the air.

Anaya wondered quietly—

Could life really be this simple?

A life filled with dreams...

And someone to stand by you through it all too?

Just then, her phone screen flickered to life.

A message had come in.

From Aarav.

"Asleep?"

Anaya smiled warmly and replied—

"No... still writing."

Moments later, he responded—

"In that case, I am disturbing you."

"No," Anaya typed back.

"Writers tend to stay up at night."

Aarav sent another message quickly—

"So, what's happening in your story today?"

Anaya replied playfully—

"That's something only readers will discover when the chapter comes out."

Aarav answered right away—

"So I have to wait too."

Anaya chuckled softly.

Then she suddenly asked—

"By the way, do you really read my stories?"

The 'typing' indicator showed for a few seconds before a message appeared—

"Yes… and I think I read them because they reflect real life so well."

Anaya paused for a moment in silence.

She understood that this struggle mirrored her own life experience.

Soon after, another message came from Aarav—

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"If you would have to make a choice between your dreams and your relationships.....which would you choose?"

Reading his question made Anaya stop and think for several moments.

She placed her phone on the table.

The room fell into deep silence.

Thoughts raced through her mind all at once.

Would there really come a day…

when I have to decide between chasing my dreams and nurturing relationships?

After a while, she picked up her phone again.

And slowly typed out an answer—

"Maybe… I would try to hold onto both."

A few seconds later came his reply—

"In that case, I'll just hope you never stop writing."

A slight smile appeared on Anaya's face.

She looked back at her laptop again.

The new document remained open.

The blank screen seemed to be waiting for her input.

She placed her fingers on the keyboard.

And started to write.

The words began to come out, slowly but surely.

It felt like the story was finding its own way.

Every now and then, she stopped to think—

Was her life unfolding like a story?

Where each new chapter brought something fresh. Some joys…

Some questions…

And some moments…

That made life feel just a bit more special.

About an hour later, she completed the chapter.

She read through it one last time.

Then, with a soft smile, she clicked the upload button.

Once the chapter was uploaded, she took a deep breath.

Each time, it felt like she was revealing another piece of her life to the world.

She shut her laptop.

And lay down on the bed.

But sleep still wouldn't come to her eyes.

She opened her diary and wrote a few lines—

"The journey of dreams becomes real

only when the people around you

don't hold you back…

but instead, inspire you to reach even higher."

Now, she realized—

that life would always bring its own responsibilities…

and relationships would have their own challenges…

but if trust and understanding are by your side,

the journey toward your dreams will never truly stop.

And maybe…

this is exactly what Anaya's story is about—

a girl

who once felt torn between her dreams and her responsbilies…

eventually learned to accept both

and create a new chapter in her life.

The story was just starting.

And maybe…

The most exciting chapters were still waiting to be written.
