Chapter 206 - Scatter My Ashes

Bzee's expression was… well, uh…

Clark couldn't read Bzee's expression. All he could see was the slender antennae twitching back and forth.

After all, Bzee was a bee.

Unless you studied it specifically, who could read a bee's micro-expressions?

Even great writers couldn't figure it out—someone had even coined a term for it: "What the bee?"

So Clark was especially curious about this so-called Green Lantern who was also a bee.

"Besides planets, there are bees in the Green Lantern Corps?!"

He asked Bzee, half-laughing, half-bewildered. The rhetorical question made Bzee... well, Clark had no idea if Bzee was pleasantly surprised or not.

The bee, surrounded by green light, paused for a moment before quickly replying.

"That's right. Planet, bee—it doesn't matter. As long as you have the potential, you can ignite a green ring.

Also, it looks like you've already talked to Mogo. Not many people know she's a planet—that's a secret.

I bet she sneaked out to have some fun. She always does this. I'm almost used to it!

But this time, she's gone too far—she didn't leave a single trace!

I couldn't find any sign of her in the entire 2261 sector!

Who knows where she could've wandered off to? I can't even imagine the day I'll see my wife again!

Buddy, and you, the Kryptonian lady over there—if you know where she is, you'd better tell me soon.

After all, letting a playful planet roam around the universe isn't exactly a good thing."

With that, Bzee flew over to Clark's head and landed lightly in his hair.

He stared at Tiff for a long moment, then suddenly said.

"You've got Mogo's soil on you. I've seen you on Mogo before too—two days ago, when I was out on business, you were causing trouble on Mogo's surface.

But I don't blame you. Mogo doesn't care either. You didn't do anything bad, so no need to worry about the Green Lantern Corps targeting you.

And Krypton is already gone... sorry, I shouldn't have said that. My bad.

How about this—just tell me what you know... about Mogo.

And I'll definitely pay you handsomely for your help!

Think about it—I'm a poor father with two billion children. Sure, if they all disappeared, my life would slow down a bit.

But losing over two billion bonds of affection at once would destroy me.

Please, help me out!"

Bzee's voice sounded sincere enough, and Clark didn't overthink it.

As Superman, he was more than willing to lend a hand to someone in Bzee's situation.

"Say no more, my... bee friend."

Clark nodded with a smile.

"If nothing unexpected happens, one of my elders just brought Mogo to the solar system.

Of course, Mogo came willingly."

"The solar system?

Which sector?

Wait, I think I've heard of that place!"

Hearing the answer, Bzee fell silent. The green light in his eyes pulsed brighter.

A moment later, he continued.

"I found it—it's Sector 2814. Wow.

I never expected Mogo to go all the way to Abin's territory this time.

Abin Sur is the greatest Green Lantern in the history of the Corps!

I absolutely adore him!"

With that, Bzee turned and flew back to his ship, pulling out a tiny bottle no thicker than his own claw.

"Here, this is for you—honey made by my kids.

I always bring some with me when I travel. It keeps me going. But I don't mind sharing it with you."

"Uh…"

Clark looked at Bzee's gift and couldn't help but let out a helpless, wry smile.

A container as thin as a bee's claw—that wouldn't even hold a single drop of honey by human standards!!!

Tiff, standing beside him, shook her head dismissively.

"So the 'gift' is your son's excrement. What a praiseworthy thing."

"That's honey, not excrement, damn it!

And that's not all of the gift!

Bzee is a generous guy—and rich!

See my ship? It's made entirely of dead star core!

Believe me, no one in the entire universe except me can pilot a ship made entirely of star core material!"

"Yeah, and no one else's ship is the size of a walnut either!" Tiff scoffed.

"This isn't walnut-sized—it's bigger than your head, you sharp-tongued woman!"

"Shut up. Our Kryptonian walnuts are bigger than you think!"

Tiff turned away in disdain.

"Alright, Tiff. Mr. Bzee means no harm, so there's no need to be so harsh."

Clark cut in, then turned back to Bzee.

"Anyway, Mr. Bzee, your kids should still be on Mogo.

Don't worry about their safety—Grandpa will take care of them. He really loves that planet too much."

Hearing Clark's words…

"Hmph. I don't know who your grandpa is, but I have heard of you.

I've been following Abin Sur's communication feed for a while. I remember not long ago, some of your people tracked you down.

Abin was planning to intercept them, and I saw the hologram he sent.

You're Kal-El, right?"

With that, Bzee's wings buzzed once, and he continued.

"You're a good one. Different from most Kryptonians. You've got a heart that fights for the survival of weaker planets.

If I ever die, I really hope my ring finds its way to you. You deserve it.

I saw you two were on the move earlier, so I won't keep you.

I'm going to jump to Sector 2814—my wife and kids are waiting for me!"

"Wait!"

Clark called out to Bzee.

"You mean you're heading to Earth right now?

If so, could your ship give me a ride?"

"Haha, of course!"

Bzee flapped his wings grandly.

"Follow me!"

With that, Bzee returned to his ship.

Soon after, his ship lit up again, green light extending rapidly from the antennae at the top.

In the blink of an eye, both Clark and Tiff were enveloped in green light.

"Alright, folks—ready for an interstellar trip with Bzee?

You might not get to enjoy the luxurious interior of the Bee Ship, but Green Lantern Bzee won't let you feel a single bump."

As he spoke, the green light morphed into a large bed, allowing Clark and Tiff to lie down.

Then, his ship suddenly accelerated.

To Clark, it felt like only three seconds had passed before he was back in the familiar solar system.

Bzee, who had jumped near Mars, seemed a bit dazed too.

His voice came from inside the ship, tinged with regret.

"I only have jump coordinates for Mars here. Sigh…

Last time I came here, this place was still bustling.

Back then, Mars was quite a formidable planet.

Too bad they studied too many things they shouldn't have.

The Martians spent a hundred and forty-six generations over fifty-four thousand years to crack one of the most difficult equations in the entire universe.

The moment Mars officially announced they'd solved the Life Equation… Mars quickly perished.

The Green Lantern Corps isn't omnipotent, and the Life Equation the Martians unlocked was also deemed a hidden threat by the Guardians.

Sigh…"

Bzee let out a long sigh, then turned his ship around to survey the surroundings.

"I don't see Mogo in the solar system, but my sensors pick up her trace.

I'm guessing that grandpa of yours must be really powerful—"

Before he could finish, an ear-piercing communication alert blared through the entire ship.

Glancing at the caller ID, Bzee hurriedly answered.

"Wow, Abin—it's me, your good friend Bzee!

Of course, even though we're good friends, I'll never forgive you for sneaking a peek at my wife back then!"

Outside the ship, Clark and Tiff both froze.

A moment later, they exchanged glances, unable to suppress their laughter.

On the other end of the communication, Abin's expression was grim.

"Any normal person would believe I have no interest in a mother bee. She's just an ordinary bee—she can't even talk, Bzee!"

"So what? Not every woman who can talk is likeable.

I prefer the prettier one!

Her elytra are so smooth. The curve of her antennae is perfect. She's my goddess."

"Whatever you say, Bzee. I contacted you to ask—"

"About Mogo, right? I know, I know.

I'm right next to Mars in the solar system right now!

You know how Mogo is—when she wakes up, she likes to wander around. She only stops when she gets bored.

This time, she clearly knocked me out again and went out for some fun."

"You're the fastest and most responsive Lantern in the Corps—and even you couldn't stop Mogo?"

Abin sounded frustrated, but Bzee on the other end was even more so.

"What makes you think I can control Mogo? She carries thirty-seven billion years of willpower!

Even the Guardians have said she could take on every other Green Lantern all at once.

And she might even win!

You think I can handle her?"

Bzee sighed helplessly.

"Anyway, I'm heading to Earth to find her. We've worked together for a long time—I should be able to convince her to come back soon.

Sector 2261 has heavier gravity and chaotic magnetic fields—perfect for someone with her natural temperament, curiosity, and childlike personality.

If she stays in a bustling star system, her curiosity will cause big trouble for everyone."

Hearing Bzee's words, Abin's expression soured.

"Heh. She's already causing trouble.

She's planning to settle in 2814—because she found herself a father, supposedly a sentient star.

And the worst part is, that sun seems intent on burning me to ashes and scattering me across the cosmos…"

At that, Abin couldn't help but laugh. He'd been around the universe for too many years—he'd heard similar threats far too many times.

But just then, Bzee, still near Mars, suddenly thought of something. He put down the communicator and turned to Clark, who was floating beside the ship.

"Hey, buddy—that grandpa of yours, the Kryptonian who took Mogo away—is his name Sun?"

"Of course not. My grandpa's name is Heisenberg!"

"Oh, good. That's a relief."

Bzee relaxed a little. But before he could even catch his breath, Clark added:

"But about that sun thing—my grandpa is a sun god."

"WHOA!!!"

Bzee's voice stuttered to a halt like a scratched record.

"What's going on? Why'd you stop talking, Bzee?"

Abin's questioning voice kept coming through. Bzee finally snapped back to reality and spoke softly.

"I'm here. I just got some good news.

About the father Mogo found for herself…

His name is Heisenberg. He's a Kryptonian—or rather… a Kryptonian god. Pfft—hahaha!"

Bzee suddenly burst out laughing. Between guffaws, he teased Abin.

"Guys like you who've lived long enough—you know what the ancient Kryptonian gods were like.

Abin, my friend—I might just have to start collecting your ashes soon.

Maybe this is karma. Serves you right for always ogling my wife. Ahahahahaha!"
