Chapter 112 - Something’s Not Right!

Watching Thor pinned to the ground, Loki immediately buried his face in his hands.

Seriously? Weren't you the one claiming to be a god?

Even I can hold out for over ten seconds without being affected!

But she took you down with a single glance!

Just how messed up is your brain anyway?!

Helplessly, Loki soared into the air and dashed over to Thor, whose eyes were blazing with blue fire.

Without a word, he started with a barrage of punches right to Thor's face.

Loki's specialty was illusions, not sorcery, so the only purification he could offer Thor was physical!

Believe it or not, he really wasn't just trying to beat Thor up. After all, that was his brother!

Ahem…

Near the Asgardian flagship, Sigmund, who had been observing everything, swallowed hard, utterly dumbfounded.

The dynamic between all these children of Odin was just too bizarre.

That powerful woman… she must be the firstborn daughter Hela that Odin had mentioned when passing on the throne.

Despite the murderous aura, her strength was unexpectedly formidable, and her methods unusually ruthless!

Sigmund liked such formidable Asgardian warriors; he only hoped nothing more unexpected would happen.

As for Thor and Hela…

Thor had clearly been controlled when he attacked Hela. This prince, the former heir of Asgard…

His mental state was just too fragile, no explanation needed!

It was a blessing he hadn't been given the chance to lead Asgard; the ancestors were truly watching over them.

But even if Thor had been forced to attack Hela, did she have to strike so decisively?

The way Hela attacked was exactly like God King Heisenberg, targeting Thor's right kidney again. That poor kidney was really suffering.

And then Loki…

Wasn't he the commander of the Chitauri?

Had he betrayed them again?

That was understandable. Prince Loki betrayed people all the time; everyone was used to it.

But the way Loki was pummeling Thor now, and that expression of gritted teeth as if he'd finally gotten his revenge…

Are you sure you're just trying to save him?

Sigmund raised a large hand and rubbed his face in frustration.

Children of Odin, I just can't figure you out!

"All Berserker Legion members, advance through the path Princess Hela cut open, and launch a full assault on the Chitauri mothership! Don't let Supergiant return to the flagship!"

He quickly issued new orders based on the current situation, and the Asgardians immediately began to execute them.

At that moment in the sky, Supergiant, speeding toward her ship, frowned.

While curling up to dodge a flying sword thrown by Hela, she silently made a decision in her heart.

"I must unlock the Chitauri's thought restrictions. If the control hub is destroyed, all Chitauri will lose their ability to act!"

She thought this, then her entire body transformed into a streak of black light, accelerating toward her flagship.

Hela followed closely, slicing through the Chitauri flagship's armor with her flying sword, hot on Supergiant's trail.

Tearing through thousands of walls, Hela finally burst into the control center.

When she finally saw Supergiant, Supergiant had her right hand pressed on the Chitauri central mother unit, issuing a command to grant all troops freedom of action.

The next second, Supergiant slammed her right hand down, and powerful psychic force surged forth.

The central mother unit, specifically used to control Chitauri soldiers, shattered instantly, losing all semblance of a controller.

Thanos had countless backups of this central controller, but they were too far away to achieve cross-galactic control of the Chitauri.

There was only this single controller on the ship. If it were destroyed, wouldn't millions of Chitauri warriors lose their ability to act, just like in the movie?

So, Supergiant chose to release the Chitauri's minds, turning them from mindless bioweapons into thinking beings.

That way, even if the controller vanished, the Chitauri would at least have a fighting chance.

"Heh, you're really decisive, just like… how long ago was it?"

Watching Supergiant's actions, Hela leisurely approached her, while Supergiant retreated under the pressure.

Hela strolled forward, taunting.

"Wasn't it five thousand, one hundred and forty years ago, when you and that purple-skinned boss of yours were under attack by us?"

"Hmph, Hela, I never expected you were still alive, but do you think clinging to life until now gives you the right to mock Lord Thanos?" Supergiant retorted indignantly.

Seeing Supergiant's reaction, as if an insult to her master was a mortal wound, Hela laughed mercilessly.

"Yeah, yeah!"

She murmured, then walked straight up to less than two meters in front of Supergiant.

"Back then, it was my father who fought Thanos, and I… I could only handle you five useless pawns!"

Swish!

Hela struck out abruptly, slapping at Supergiant's face.

Supergiant blocked the blow with her forearm, but in that same instant, Hela's flying sword followed, piercing straight through her chest.

Hela leaned in, seized Supergiant's jaw, and pulled her agonized face close.

"Tsk tsk, you were in just as much pain back then. Even after five thousand years, you're still as weak as you were!"

"But our Lord is growing ever stronger, Hela! You may have the power to kill me, but you will never be qualified to become an enemy of the Lord!"

"Heh."

Hearing Supergiant's final words, Hela, as if they were friends, placed her hands gently around Supergiant's ears.

"He's growing ever stronger? That's wonderful.

Because after Odin dies, when there is no one left in the world to share the Asgardian inheritance with me…

I won't even know how strong I am myself!

I'm very much looking forward to meeting that 'Lord' you speak of. I hope he'll come take a tour of my territory.

If he does, I'll give him death and place his head in the finest spot of my trophy room!

And if he doesn't dare come, that's fine too.

Sooner or later, I will go find him, as the God-King of the Nine Realms, leading my army, to pay a visit to that former defeated foe!"

CRACK!!!

With a dull sound, Hela twisted Supergiant's neck into a corkscrew.

Perhaps being imprisoned alone for too long had made her more talkative than she'd been in the past five thousand years.

But no matter what, she'd simply gone from "kill first, talk never" to "talk while killing."

Hela always killed cleanly and efficiently.

After dealing with Supergiant, Hela casually controlled her flying swords, tearing apart the Chitauri who rushed in.

Fighting her way out of the Chitauri mothership, Hela floated high in the sky, holding Supergiant's corpse.

At that moment, Hela, brimming with pride and vigor, looked down at the army below. She seemed to have rediscovered the feeling of leading troops from years past.

She hurled Supergiant's corpse down into the crowd below, and at the same time, shouted with rousing fervor to everyone:

"The enemy commander Supergiant is dead! The remaining Chitauri are nothing but a pile of worthless trash!

Asgardian warriors, follow me and annihilate the enemy! Leave no one alive!!!"

???

Many Asgardian soldiers had heard Hela's words, and the content left most of them completely baffled.

Who the heck are you?

And those words were way too outdated. Over two thousand years ago, we Asgardians stopped using battle cries like that.

So cringey! Aren't you a little behind the times?

The warriors, who didn't even know Odin was dead, naturally had no idea who Hela was.

However, considering this mysterious figure's strength and her slaughter of the Chitauri,

the Asgardian warriors unanimously decided to keep their mouths shut.

After all, she was on their side…

And so, the Asgardian warriors' morale mysteriously soared, and they relentlessly pushed the increasingly scattered Chitauri to the edge!

In just forty minutes, the Chitauri completely fell apart.

They scattered in all directions.

With Denver as the epicenter, the Chitauri spread out like a spiderweb, thoroughly invading the American mainland.

From this moment on, Earth officially kicked off the era of the great interstellar age!

Forty minutes earlier.

In the most concealed place of Asgard, the World Tree site, Heisenberg clenched his fists and withdrew all his flames and light.

"Does this count as my divine power awakening?" He asked Queen Frigga with a smile.

Frigga nodded blankly, then shook her head in a daze.

"I've never seen anyone awaken as fast as you, Your Majesty!"

"Speak properly!"

Heisenberg shot Frigga an annoyed glare, then moved past the increasingly bewildered Frigga, intending to leave the World Tree root that had been causing the energy inside him to surge restlessly.

No wonder the Aesir grew stronger upon returning to Asgard.

Their energy source was hidden on this very planet; returning to Asgard was like Heisenberg diving straight into the sun!

But even so, Odin in his Rune King form had still lost.

Thinking of that, Heisenberg couldn't help but shake his head.

Maybe it was because this was the movie universe, where the power levels weren't particularly high after all.

But thank goodness it wasn't the comic world, where gods roamed everywhere and multiverse-level beings were a dime a dozen.

In that kind of world, even if Heisenberg hid and became a master schemer, he'd probably still get rebooted along with the universe a few hundred times…

Walking all the way to the portal, Heisenberg glanced back at Frigga, and she immediately waved her hand to open the doorway.

Heisenberg stepped through the hidden door and returned to the palace's treasure vault.

The first thing he saw was that damned Eternal Flame.

For some reason, Heisenberg felt like he would end up having some sort of encounter with that flame later.

While Heisenberg was lost in thought, Frigga also exited the World Tree root. She looked at the dazed Heisenberg and suddenly sensed a slight… incongruity!

The feeling puzzled her…

Clearly, Heisenberg's physique was like a Greek sculpture, with perfect golden proportions.

His appearance combined valor and handsomeness, the very image of a god!

So why did she feel something was off?

Thus, while Heisenberg wasn't paying attention, Frigga looked him up and down.

A moment later, she opened her mouth in sudden realization.

Why is His Majesty's upper body bare?!?!

"Your Majesty!"

Frigga quickly called out to Heisenberg, stepping to his side.

"I just realized, now that you are the God-King, you should have your own majesty and bearing.

Don't you think you need a sufficiently excellent set of armor?

That would prevent you from being bare-chested like this in battle!"

As she said this, Frigga couldn't help glancing at Heisenberg's pectorals and abs…

She pursed her lips and pointed toward the chamber to the right of the Eternal Flame.

"There is where the Asgardian vault keeps its armor. If you are not in a hurry to craft your own, you could go there and pick a set first.

Though those armors are all slightly damaged, as spoils of war, their former owners were all God-King level beings!"

"Heh, from your words, you'd prefer I forge my own armor, right?" Heisenberg asked Frigga with a smile.

Frigga nodded straightforwardly.

"I may not be a warrior, but I once had the duty of maintaining my father's armor and weapons.

A custom-made set of armor will certainly fit the warrior best!"

"OK!"

Heisenberg nodded, then glanced down at his own torso.

Though his bio-force field could protect his clothing, that bio-force field might not hold up so well in battles against opponents of the same level, or even higher.

Clearly, he still needed a set of armor.

And since Asgard possessed the best armor-crafting resources in the universe, why not make use of them?

"Contact the dwarves. While Asgard is still being repaired, I should forge a fitting set of attire!"
