Chapter 56 - Satoru's Home Visit

Himeno's heart jolted.

Judging by his tone, he seemed to know the inside story and even had some understanding of the Gun Devil?

She hurriedly said, "I wouldn't dare. It's just that these weapons are very dangerous out in the open, and we must trace their source. If you have any clues, Lord, please do not hesitate to tell us."

Sukuna did not answer directly but asked instead, "What do you intend to do next?"

Himeno answered truthfully, "We will thoroughly investigate this place to ensure no threats remain and trace the source of the firearms."

"As for you, Lord... may I ask what your plans are? Do you require any assistance from us?"

Sukuna let out an ambiguous chuckle.

Assistance? He needed assistance from these weak people?

However, this so-called "Public Safety" organization seemed like a good source of information. Perhaps he could use them to find the scattered fingers or other interesting "snacks."

"My movements are not for you to question." Sukuna said with an unquestionable authority.

"However, since you, a newcomer, are somewhat pleasing to the eye, you may report today's events truthfully. As for those firearms... do as you wish."

With that, Sukuna ignored Himeno and, controlling Utaha's body, walked straight out of the perimeter.

The division members instinctively wanted to stop "Utaha" but were sternly held back by the captain's gaze.

They could only watch helplessly as the figure of the "girl" radiating an ominous aura slowly blended into the distant darkness.

Himeno returned to the captain's side and reported the results of the communication in a low voice.

The captain looked in the direction where Sukuna had disappeared, his brow furrowed.

The other party's attitude was arrogant, but there seemed to be no obvious malice.

More importantly, the other party had tacitly allowed them to handle the scene and report it, which was already the best possible outcome.

"Withdraw." The Captain ordered with a sigh.

"Seal off the scene immediately, catalog and secure all firearms, and report to headquarters. Additionally, information regarding this Jujutsu Sorcerer is to be classified as highly confidential. No one is to leak it without my order."

The captain did not want to offend these sorcerers. He could always find a way to deal with inquiries from superiors, but once these sorcerers sought revenge, it was not something ordinary people like them could handle.

— — —

The morning sunlight filtered through the clean glass windows, draping a thin veil of warm gold over the dining room of Utaha'sapartment.

The air was filled with the burnt aroma of toasted bread and the rich scent of coffee.

Utaha sat quietly at the dining table, her posture elegant, but the scene before her was enough to make any uninformed intruder's skin crawl.

The school uniform sleeve on her left arm was rolled up to the elbow, revealing her forearm. On the skin of the back of her left hand, a crimson, malevolent eye was wide open.

Even more bizarrely, an open hardcover book was hovering about ten centimeters above this "hand-back eye," defying gravity. The pages turned on their own without wind, making a slight rustling sound.

The pupil of that eye moved rapidly from left to right, clearly in the middle of reading.

Utaha held a butter knife in her right hand, leisurely spreading butter on her toast. Occasionally, she would pick up a small piece of fried egg with a fork, making a gesture as if to send it to her left hand, but at the last moment, she would turn her wrist and put it into her own mouth.

"Can't even have a meal in peace, you are doing this on purpose, aren't you?" A deep and impatient male voice rang in Utaha's mind.

It was the King of Curses dwelling within her—Ryomen Sukuna.

The corner of Utaha's lips curled up imperceptibly.

Just as she was about to respond, the doorbell rang abruptly.

Her movements paused, the eye on the back of her hand closed and vanished instantly, and the floating book fell onto the table with a "thud."

She frowned slightly.

At this time, who could it be?

Looking through the peephole, Utaha's heart skipped a beat when she saw the tall figure outside wearing a black blindfold with a head of white hair.

Gojo Satoru.

How did he find this place? And why did he come so early?

She took a deep breath, adjusted her expression, and opened the door.

"Gojo-san, morning. Is there something I can help you with?" Her tone remained politely distant.

"Morning, Kasumigaoka-san." Satoru greeted her with a grin and squeezed through the door, as naturally as if he were returning to his own home.

His Six Eyes, which were covered by the blindfold but said to be able to see through all things, quickly scanned the entire living room, finally settling on the recently closed book on the dining table and the butter knife Utaha hadn't had time to put down in her right hand.

"Tsk tsk, reading in 'that way' while dining, you're really hardworking. However, it's not very gentlemanly to interrupt a lady enjoying her breakfast, so..."

He walked boldly to the dining room, pulled out a chair, and sat down of his own accord. "Can I wait for you to finish? Or, you wouldn't mind adding another set of chopsticks?"

Utaha watched his act of making himself at home, momentarily speechless.

She sat down silently and continued eating her breakfast, but the atmosphere had completely changed.

Satoru, on the other hand, was quite at ease, tapping the table with his fingers every now and then, seemingly truly admiring this ordinary breakfast. However, his next words caused Utaha's movements to freeze completely.

"Speaking of which, just now... it was Sukuna, right?" Satoru's tone remained relaxed, but the gaze beneath the blindfold seemed to carry physical weight.

"It's truly surprising. The legendary King of Curses is actually so... 'everyday.' Helping with reading? Is he perhaps previewing today's schoolwork?"

The inquisitive meaning in his words was more than obvious.

"I'm not an illiterate like you Jujutsu High fellows." Sukuna mocked.

Utaha put down her knife and fork and wiped the corners of her lips with a napkin. "Gojo-san, let's speak plainly. What is the purpose of your visit?"

"Alright, alright." Satoru shrugged. "Shall we talk somewhere else?"

Utaha nodded, stood up, and led Satoru to the living room sofa.

In her mind, Sukuna let out a cold snort. (This Six Eyes brat's skill at putting on an act has certainly improved.)

After taking a seat, Satoru reined in his playful expression and got straight to the point, "Kasumigaoka-san, I have a very important question to confirm. Can you suppress Sukuna's consciousness? Or rather, in most cases, who between you is in control?"

This question was crucial, directly relating to his positioning and subsequent handling of Utaha.
