Isla was in her office when Luca appeared. Grim expression.
"Mrs. Archer. We have a situation."
She looked up from contract reviews. "What kind of situation?"
"There's a woman at reception. Says she's Killian's sister. Says she has legal documents. Demands to see you."
Isla's blood went cold. "Killian doesn't have a sister. He's an only child."
"That's what I told her. She insisted. Says she has proof. Birth certificates. DNA test results. Everything."
Not again. Not another woman claiming family connections. Not another attempt to destabilize everything.
"Bring her up. Let's see what she's claiming."
The woman who entered was mid-thirties. Dark hair like Killian's. Same ice-blue eyes. Same sharp cheekbones.
She looked like him. Unmistakably. Disturbingly.
"Mrs. Archer. Thank you for seeing me. I'm Sasha Volkov. Killian's half-sister."
Volkov. Viktor's last name. Not Archer.
