Chapter 40 - Levels of Susanoo

Hokage Building.

Last night, Itachi did not inform Hiruzen that Hiromi had arranged for the Sarutobi Clan to take over the Police Force. He came over early this morning to explain it to Hiruzen.

"Let the Sarutobi Clan take over the Police Force?" Hiruzen's face turned pale.

In his mind, he immediately pictured the dissatisfaction of the villagers, the Uchiha clan that had almost staged a Coup détat, and the now-extinct Shimura Clan.

Was the Sarutobi Clan about to embark on this path of no return?

He shook his head hurriedly. "No."

Even if he died, even if he jumped off this building, he would never let the Sarutobi Clan take over the Police Force.

"Alright."

Itachi left.

Hiruzen was left looking bewildered. He had prepared himself for a three-hour tug-of-war with Itachi. And yet, he gave up so decisively?

However, having been refused, Hiruzen breathed a sigh of relief.

In fact, Itachi, having been rejected, actually felt quite relaxed. After all, he had seen very clearly how the Shimura Clan had been wiped out.

Although this tactic couldn't possibly be used on the Sarutobi Clan, there was no doubt that Hiromi definitely harbored ill intentions toward the Sarutobi Clan.

To preserve Konoha's combat strength, this was for the best. As long as he told Hiromi that he had been rejected, Hiromi wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

After all, Hiruzen was the Hokage, the person with the highest status in the village. No matter how powerful Hiromi was, could he force the Hokage, the person with the highest status, to agree to something he didn't want to do?

Hiruzen and Itachi were both quite happy with this arrangement.

But an hour later, they both regretted it.

Outside the Hokage Building, in the center of the village.

Many ninjas were working around the Hokage Building. At this moment, they saw a familiar figure—Hiromi.

They all nodded slightly, as if bowing, to show their respect and greet him.

When Hiromi first started coming here, everyone was very panicked, thinking he was going to make a big scene again. It wasn't until he left and they realized he was just here to handle some business that they relaxed and laughed at themselves.

In this past year, he had been here seven times. Now, for the eighth time, everyone had gotten used to it.

However, Hiromi usually nodded back at them, but today he didn't.

'Is he in a bad mood?' The ninjas didn't think too much about it and went back to their own work.

Only Shikaku on the second floor felt like a thunderbolt had exploded in his heart, leaving him numb all over and staring blankly.

He regretted his stupidity. Clearly, this morning, the Uchiha clan should have "accidentally" passed by to act as the Police Force and gain the favor of the villagers, but the Uchiha clan hadn't appeared.

Why?

The truth is only one!

Because the Uchiha's anger... no, Hiromi's anger, had not yet subsided.

He hurriedly ran downstairs.

His teammate asked curiously, "Captain, why are you running so fas... Holy crap!"

Everyone stared in shock at the fire-like giant outside the window.

Susanoo is divided into six stages: Initial Form, First Form, Second Form, Third Form, Fourth Form, and Perfect Form.

Initial Form: Only parts of the arms and ribs appear.

First Form: A skeleton half-body over twenty meters tall.

Second Form: On the basis of the First Form, flesh is added, covered by a cloak-like Chakra, and it possesses its own exclusive weapons and Ninjutsu.

Third Form: On the basis of the Second Form, armor is added.

Fourth Form: On the basis of the Second Form, the lower body and legs are added.

Perfect Form: Known as the "True Susanoo," it is a Susanoo that can only be activated by someone who has pushed the Mangekyo Sharingan's ocular power to the limit and possesses vast amounts of Chakra. It possesses flight capabilities and can also perform hand seals to unleash the user's specialized jutsu.

The giant at this moment, compared to the first time they saw it, had more flesh and a Chakra cloak, looking like a giant wandering swordsman. It looked much fiercer and emitted a terrifying aura.

Susanoo: Second Form!

"How is this possible?" Shikaku couldn't believe it.

Wasn't Hiromi blind? Why was he still...

Suddenly, his eyes met the eyes opened by Hiromi. Those were mottled eyes. In the blood-red pupils, pitch-black patterns formed cracks that looked like fingers. They were irregular, but they could align through triangular folding, giving people a strange, cold feeling, like a cold-blooded snake lurking in the dark, ready to bite at any moment.

The villagers screamed and fled. The surrounding ninjas broke out in cold sweat, instinctively gripping their weapons.

Shikaku stopped them, but just as he was about to speak, he saw Hiromi staring at the Hokage Building.

"Third Hokage! Get out here!"

A shocking sound wave rang out, and the surroundings seemed to have pressed the pause button, making the villagers and ninjas freeze in place. In their minds, only one question popped up—He... he's not smashing the ground?

Immediately, the villagers and ninjas both breathed a sigh of relief.
