It's been two weeks since the talk with his family. All seems to be normal like usual. Then Ryuu's data slate beeps with an incoming message.
Ryuu opens it and reads it. Your majesty, we have reports of zombie sighting in remote villages in Africa, Asia and many nations situated in central America. We also have unconfirmed reports of the same across the rest of the world, but the media is playing it off as a new type of drug. We estimate that the situation will spiral out of control in a week.
Ryuu puts down the data slate and sends a message to his parents who are still at the Fob fortress and to Rei, letting them know the situation and to be ready.
He gets up from the couch and stands in front of the window looking out into the city below.
(The end has come, the only thing that can be done is to save as many as possible then rebuild. How many can actually be saved and how many will perish before we can even try to savethem?)
The next day Rei comes over and holds him tight. They had already discussed the plan for her parents. They will be picked up by his men the morning of the start of the apocalypse and taken to the fortress while they go to school. They plan to be there so that they can save as many of the students as they can.
As they held each other more signs of the end began to surface. Villages in remote areas of 3rd world countries went quiet. Civil panic began to happen to the countries in poorer areas of the world.
The richer nations like America ignored what was going on and their media continued to say it was just a new type of drug. All the while the infected spread throughout their nation like rats hearing a dinner bell.
At this point bigger nations may start falling even before the estimated week. They in their arrogance ignored the signs and the growing problem, not just in their own nations but around the world.
Ryuu sends a message to the fortress to speed up the preparation's and sends one to his parents.
Ryuu and Rei stay inside all day just basking in each other's presence before things get busy and all fall apart.
They continue to go to school as normal. They day the end starts is quickly approaching.
