Flint began to struggle to breathe as people swarmed around someone who allegedly slipped while climbing. He was once again faced with a similar situation to his childhood. When someone close to him was injured, he couldn't do anything. All he could do now was push through the crowd to determine who the slippery victim was.
He tried to banish all negative thoughts from his mind, hoping the victim was someone else. When he reached the front of the line after pushing through the other climbers, he breathed a sigh of relief again, realizing the victim was a middle-aged man. He momentarily wiped the sweat that continued to trickle down his neck with a handkerchief.
"Flint!"
Hearing his beloved woman's scream, he slowly turned to look at her, who was waving at him with a beaming smile. He immediately ran to her, who was standing far away from the crowd. To relieve his fear, he hugged her slender body tightly, stroking her head with trembling hands.
