"So…someone is dead!" The bride screamed, her voice fraught with tremor.
Commotion engulfed the atmosphere while Eclipse took a step back, assessing the situation.
She had been expecting something to happen that night, but a second death of one of the brides had not been in the books.
What was going on?
Her eyes carefully assessed the rest of the brides as if to weed out the culprit.
This was becoming disturbing. If this was the work from someone sent by the Hollow, then she was positively enraged.
How dare they put her in a position where she could not react as adequately as she ought to?
Springing surprises after surprises at her, what really was their endgame?
The content of the letter from the stranger came to her.
'You're not the only assassin the Hollow sends. Dispensable as you're, tread carefully. Your mission has been compromised.'
That was when it clicked fully.
