Ava's Pov:
I could feel something different in Leon. He wasn't as calm and collected as he usually was. He was angry, frustrated. I could see it in his eyes.
It was never my intent to upset him, but when I saw him run his hands through his hair, I could tell I had done exactly that.
I was being selfish and I didn't even realize it. He wasn't getting as much backlash as I was but he was still getting questioned. I could only imagine what the board was saying to him at work.
"Hey," I took his hands and looked him in the eyes. "Calm down, okay? I didn't mean to upset you."
"You didn't upset me Ava."
I leaned back a little. His calm, sweet voice was gone. He sounded very stern.
"Okay, just calm down."
"I'm calm." He pulled away and sat back down.
"No, you're not. You look like you're about to explode out of rage."
"I might."
I sat next to him.
"Just be calm. We'll get through this okay?"
"Oh yes we will."
