Ava's Pov:
Leon took me to dinner as an apology for the interview. It was perfect, and I forgave him. He also made it his mission to be around me all the time as a way of telling me I was more to him. That didn't last, unfortunately.
After the deal, he became extremely busy. He left the house early and came home late. But that never stopped him from calling throughout the day just to ask the same things. If I was okay and if I needed anything.
I couldn't deny, I was falling hard. Seeing him work so hard was the best part. Pearl told me his company was on the verge of bankruptcy since he rarely got deals and his charts had gone down. But investors started to trust him again, he was finally at his peak again. I was jealous of all the women who had to be around him but I couldn't use that as an excuse to stop him. We weren't even official yet.
I was watching him on the news when he walked in.
"You're home early." I said.
