Chapter 10 - Show off

He charged straight at me, throwing a punch.

But to me...

It was slow.

Not actually slow, of course.

My Six Eyes simply made everything incredibly easy to read.

I could see the movement of his muscles before he even completed the punch.

I could see the shift in his weight.

The rotation of his hips.

The direction his chakra moved as he committed to the attack.

My body reacted before I even consciously thought about it.

I simply tilted my head.

Kiba's fist passed harmlessly beside my cheek.

"Huh?!"

He immediately followed with another punch.

I stepped to the side.

Missed.

Another.

I leaned backward.

Missed.

Kiba swung again.

I slipped underneath it.

Every movement was effortless.

I didn't even need to activate anything consciously.

The Six Eyes were constantly feeding information into my brain, allowing me to predict his movements almost instinctively.

I continued bouncing lightly on my feet, my hands still raised in my boxing stance.

Kiba stopped for a moment.

"...What?"

I smiled.

"What's wrong, Kiba-kun?"

The class began reacting.

"He's dodging everything!"

"How is he doing that?"

Naruto was practically yelling.

"Come on, Kiba! Hit him!"

Kiba gritted his teeth.

"Stop moving around!"

I chuckled.

"You told me to make it interesting."

Kiba's expression hardened.

"Fine!"

He charged again.

I waited until the very last moment.

Then—

I simply stepped aside.

Kiba went past me.

I turned around and looked at him.

"...Too predictable."

His face twitched.

The class erupted into laughter.

I couldn't help but smirk.

The Six Eyes are absolutely ridiculous.

Even without using any jutsu...

It felt like I could see everything coming.

Kiba turned around, clearly getting frustrated.

He charged at me again.

This time, I didn't move away.

I waited.

The moment he stepped into range, I shifted my weight forward.

My left hand stayed up in guard.

My right fist drove straight toward his stomach.

Thud!

My fist connected with his gut.

Kiba's eyes widened.

"Ugh—!"

All the air rushed out of his lungs as he doubled over, clutching his stomach.

I immediately pulled my fist back.

I hadn't put anywhere near my full strength into it.

But even then...

Kiba staggered backward.

The entire class went quiet for a moment.

I lowered my hands slightly.

"You okay?"

Kiba coughed, trying to catch his breath.

"Y-Yeah..."

He straightened himself with a grimace.

"...That actually hurt."

I scratched my cheek.

"I barely put any power into that."

That confirmed another thing I'd suspected.

My physical strength was considerably above that of an average child.

I looked at Kiba again.

"Come on. Don't give up yet."

Kiba gritted his teeth.

"You bet I won't!"

He raised his fists again.

I smiled.

Alright.

Let's see what this body can really do.

Kiba shook off the pain and charged at me one last time.

I watched his approach through my Six Eyes.

His stance.

His balance.

His momentum.

Everything was clear.

As he came within range, I suddenly pivoted on my front foot.

My body twisted.

Then—

WHAM!

My heel slammed into his chest.

A clean back kick.

Kiba's eyes widened as the force sent him stumbling backward.

"Whoa—!"

He lost his balance and went flying out of the designated ring.

Thud!

He landed on the ground outside.

For a moment, there was silence.

I lowered my leg and straightened my stance.

Iruka raised his hand.

"Toshiro wins!"

The class immediately erupted.

"Whoa!"

"Did you see that?!"

"That was awesome!"

Naruto jumped up excitedly.

"YES! TOSHIRO WON!"

Kiba pushed himself up, looking completely stunned.

"You kicked me out of the ring..."

I shrugged.

"Guess that's one way to win."

Kiba stared at me for a second.

Then he grinned.

"That was awesome!"

I smiled.

"Good fight, Kiba-kun."

He nodded.

"Yeah. Next time, I'm winning!"

I walked back toward the others, adjusting my sunglasses.

Not bad.

The fight had confirmed what I'd already suspected.

My physical abilities were well above the average six-year-old.

And combined with the Six Eyes...

Even a clan-trained Academy student like Kiba had a hard time touching me.

I glanced toward the remaining students.

Who's next?

I had barely stepped away from the ring when a voice came from behind me.

"Sensеi."

I turned around.

Sasuke had stood up from his seat.

His expression was calm, but his eyes were fixed directly on me.

"I challenge Toshiro."

The classroom immediately went quiet.

I raised an eyebrow.

Oh?

Iruka looked between us.

"Sasuke, are you sure?"

Sasuke nodded.

"Yes."

Naruto's eyes widened.

"Whoa! Sasuke wants to fight Toshiro?!"

Kiba, still rubbing his stomach, grinned.

"Now this is gonna be good."

I looked at Sasuke.

So far, I'd only observed him from a distance.

Now I finally had a chance to see what an Uchiha could actually do at six years old.

I adjusted my sunglasses.

A small smile appeared on my face.

"Alright."

I stepped back into the ring.

"Let's make it interesting."

Sasuke walked toward me.

As he entered the ring, his eyes remained locked on mine.

Neither of us said anything.

The atmosphere had completely changed.

Even the other students seemed to realize it.

This wasn't going to be like my fight with Kiba.

Sasuke wasn't charging in recklessly.

He was watching.

Analyzing.

Waiting.

I lowered myself into my boxing stance.

Sasuke mirrored me with a more traditional Academy stance.

Iruka stepped between us.

"Same rules as before. No serious injuries."

He stepped back.

"Ready?"

Sasuke nodded.

I smirked.

"Ready."

Iruka raised his hand.

"Begin!"

The moment Iruka gave the signal, the classroom erupted.

"Go, Toshiro!"

"Get him, Sasuke!"

Half the girls were cheering for me, while the other half had already gathered around Sasuke.

I glanced toward the sidelines.

Sakura was practically leading the Sasuke supporters.

"Come on, Sasuke! You can do it!"

I raised an eyebrow.

Seriously?

Then I heard another voice.

"Toshiro! Don't lose!"

I turned.

Ino had her hands around her mouth as she cheered.

A few girls around her were doing the same.

I couldn't help but grin.

My fan club...

I immediately corrected myself.

Ahem.

The Toshiro fan club.

Meanwhile, Naruto was looking between the two groups with complete confusion.

"Why are they cheering so much?! It's just a fight!"

Shikamaru sighed.

"You're asking the wrong question."

Choji kept eating.

Kiba, still recovering from our previous match, crossed his arms.

"Forget the girls. I wanna see if Toshiro can beat Sasuke."

My attention returned to the ring.

Sasuke hadn't moved.

Neither had I.

The cheering continued around us.

But inside the ring...

Everything felt quiet.

I could see Sasuke's chakra.

His breathing.

His muscles.

The subtle shifts in his stance.

He was waiting for an opening.

I smiled.

"Alright, Sasuke Uchiha."

"Show me what you've got."

Sasuke suddenly rushed forward.

Unlike Kiba, there was no wild aggression in his movement.

His approach was controlled.

Precise.

He threw a straight punch toward my face.

I tilted my head aside.

Missed.

His next strike came immediately.

I raised my forearm and blocked it.

Thud!

Another punch.

I parried it away.

A kick followed.

I stepped backward, letting it pass just in front of me.

Sasuke didn't stop.

Punch.

Block.

Kick.

Dodge.

His movements were already considerably more refined than most of the other students.

He had clearly received proper training from the Uchiha.

But...

He was still six years old.

And my physical constitution was simply better.

I could feel the difference with every exchange.

His attacks had power.

Mine had more.

His movements were fast.

Mine were faster.

And with my six eyes constantly reading his movements, landing a clean hit on me was incredibly difficult.

I slipped past another punch and appeared at his side.

Sasuke immediately turned.

I was already waiting.

I smirked.

"You're good."

"But you're not there yet."

The crowd continued cheering around us.

"Come on, Sasuke!"

"Go, Toshiro!"

The two of us remained locked in combat.

For the first time, though...

Sasuke's expression showed something beyond confidence.

He was beginning to realize the same thing I had.

In pure physical combat—

I had the advantage.
