Soul Star

Long ago, humanity stood on the brink of extinction under the invasion of demons.

A great war between humans, elf , and the beast race against the demonic forces raged for thousands of years. Cities fell. Civilizations crumbled. The sky turned red more often than blue.

Hope nearly faded.

In the midst of that despair, an organization was born.

Its name was Everest meaning the highest peak, a symbol that humanity could still rise, no matter how deep the abyss before them.

Under the leadership of Argan Barley, something unprecedented finally came to pass.

Humans, elves, and the beast race for the first time in history fought under a single command.

They had only one goal: to defeat the strongest Demon King.

At first, Everest was merely a demon-hunting organization. But as victory followed victory, its influence grew. From a simple order, it evolved into a powerful political force and eventually, an empire.

The Everest Empire.

Amid the long war that nearly destroyed the world, Argan discovered something never recorded in any grimoire.

A new power.

A new magic known as Soul Star.

Soul Star was a mysterious form of magic. It allowed its user to surpass their natural limits. Their mana and energy were released far beyond the capacity of their bodies.

Yet because its source was the soul itself, it was not limited by the body but by the strength of one's spirit.

The firmer the resolve, the greater the power.

The more fragile the soul, the harder it became to control.

That was why many rejected it. Some called it taboo. Others called it heresy. Many feared the truth that humanity could transcend its own fate.

But from the very first day he discovered it, Argan never hesitated.

In every battle, he used it.

When the generals doubted him, he stepped forward.

When the elders warned him, he continued to fight.

Not out of stubbornness

but because he believed Soul Star was the pinnacle of power itself.

And then came the final battlefield.

The sky was shrouded in the dark magic of the Demon King. Allied forces fell one by one. Hope once again stood at the edge of the abyss.

Argan stood at the front lines, facing the Demon King alone, wielding Soul Star. Its radiant light illuminated the battlefield, becoming the last beacon of hope for humanity.

On that day, after a war that had consumed everything, humanity, elves, and the beast race finally achieved victory thanks to Argan and the power of Soul Star.

But sorrow followed.

Argan and the Demon King both vanished in that final battle.

The magic of Soul Star, once the world's greatest hope, disappeared along with him.

Time moved on. The power was no longer used. Soul Star became forbidden once more something feared, labeled as heretical and dangerous.

For anything that comes into the world as something foreign…

will one day return to being foreign once again.
