When he opened it, he saw boxes upon boxes of .357 bullets that he severely lacked. Although he already has better attacking methods, the cold touch of the revolver's handle still has a different feeling than firing a bullet out of thin air.
But… this amount of bullets, isn't it too excessive?

From the packaging, Desther realized that each box contains 50 rounds. There should be around twenty of them by his rough estimate alone. That would make it a thousand rounds of .357 bullets.
