The mountains were peaceful.
The morning sun shined brightly over the hills while birds chirped in the distance. A cool breeze passed through the trees, carrying the scent of wildflowers and fresh grass across the land.
It was the kind of quiet morning Android 18 had slowly grown used to.
After waking up, she stepped outside and headed toward the small garden beside the house. Without wasting time, she started her usual routine. She fed the chickens, watered the potatoes and vegetables she had planted, and checked the soil carefully.
When she noticed a tiny green sprout pushing through the dirt, the corner of her lips lifted slightly.
"Hm. Finally growing," she muttered.
After finishing her work, she returned to the kitchen and opened the rice container. She stared at it for a moment.
"…Almost empty."
Looks like she would have to go shopping again.
She glanced down at the loose white clothes she was wearing. They were comfortable, sure, but she was getting tired of wearing the same thing every day.
"Maybe I should buy proper clothes too," she said casually.
After washing up, she locked the house and slipped the spare key into her pocket which she found inside House. A second later, she shot into the sky.
As she flew closer to the city, something immediately felt strange.
The world was lively again.
People crowded the streets. Cars filled the roads. Shops were open everywhere, and the noise of the city echoed through the air.
It felt alive as 18 narrowed her eyes slightly.
"So they finally stopped hiding ?" she thought.
A few minutes later, she stood inside a grocery store.
"I want fifty kilos of rice ," she said flatly.
The shop owner blinked at the blonde woman standing in front of him. Then he looked at the massive bag of rice beside the counter.
"…Uh, miss… how are you planning to carry that?"
18 gave him an unimpressed look.
After taking her money, the shopkeeper watched her casually lift the enormous rice bag with one hand as if it weighed nothing.
The people nearby froze.
Some stared in shock. Others laughed nervously, unable to recognize her because of the different clothes and hairstyle.
18 found it mildly amusing Especially because she remembered some of these people from before as Back when she and 17 had terrorized the cities before Dr. Gero's programming had fully broken.
The shopkeeper suddenly went pale seeing the Strength, cold sweat running down his face as realization slowly hit him.
18 noticed immediately.
"Hm."
Good thing for him he hadn't tried to scam her like he did with other customers.
As Android 18 was about to leave, she suddenly stopped.
"Hey. Can I ask you something?" she said, glancing back at the store owner.
The man, who had already started sweating bullets, stiffened immediately.
"Y-Yes, ma'am! What is it?" he stammered.
Seeing how terrified he was, 18 let out a quiet sigh.
"Why are there so many people in the city today?"
The owner scratched the back of his head nervously.
"Well… I heard the people killed by the Androids suddenly came back to life."
18's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Came back to life?"
"Yeah," the man continued. "That's why the city's crowded now."
"Then why aren't they going home?"
The shopkeeper gave a bitter laugh.
"Because most of their homes are gone and The cities were destroyed and A lot of them came back with nowhere to go."
His expression darkened.
"They're looking for food, shelter and anything Useful they can find."
Then he quickly added,
"Things are pretty crazy right now. You should be careful out there."
18 stayed silent for a moment.
"…Thanks," she said casually before turning away.
Not far from the market, she found a clothing store as She placed the massive rice bag in a corner with a heavy thud, making everyone inside jump slightly.
Ignoring the stares around her, she calmly picked out a few things: two pairs of socks, jeans, a white T-shirt, and a blue one.
After changing clothes, she walked back out carrying the giant rice bag with one hand again as if it weighed nothing.
The people nearby stared at her in shock.
"Why is she so strong and doesn't she look familiar?"
A few suspicious men quietly began following her through the streets.
18 noticed them immediately But she ignored them Only when they finally surrounded her in a deserted alley did she stop walking as One of the men grabbed her arm.
Before he could even speak, 18 moved.
Crack.
The man's body slammed into the ground hard enough to split the pavement beneath him. Blood ran from his forehead as he lost consciousness instantly.
The others froze in terror as another man rushed her from behind.
18 casually elbowed him in the stomach without even turning around and The impact sent him crashing into a wall.
The remaining men turned pale and ran away immediately as 18 didn't even bother looking at them again.
She simply adjusted the rice bag on her shoulder and walked out of the city and Once she reached a remote area, she rose into the sky and flew back toward Mount Fuji( just Kidding its Mount Paozu)
As the wind rushed past her, she thought about what the old shopkeeper had said.
"The humans came back…"
That could only mean one thing.
"Son Gohan did something."
She didn't know how he managed it, but if the people she had killed were truly alive again Then the strange weight inside her chest felt slightly lighter.
Krillin,Piccolo,Tenshinhan,Yamcha and Maybe even Son Goku and the others she and 17 had slaughtered as They were alive again.
"…Tch."
Her expression turned complicated If they really had returned, then eventually they would come after her.
After all, she and 17 had nearly wiped them out before and now 17 Lapis was dead and If they saw her again, they probably wouldn't hesitate to kill her.
Then another thought crossed her mind.
"If the humans are back then the real owner of that house might return too."
18 looked down silently at the mountains below.
"Maybe I should leave."
But despite saying that to herself She didn't really want to.
Back at the house, Android 18 quietly gathered everything she needed.
She packed the dried food carefully, folded the spare clothes, and fed the chickens one last time before leaving. After that, she placed the remaining money neatly on the table.
She paused for a moment Then, after thinking silently, she added a gold bar beside the money.
"That should be enough."
Finally, she stepped outside.
Before flying away, 18 turned around and looked at the house one last time.
The small home hidden in the mountains The place where she had spent peaceful days for the first time in years.
For a brief moment, her cold expression softened Then she looked away.
"Where am I supposed to go now?" she thought quietly before flying into the sky.
Meanwhile, nearly half a day after leaving Planet Kaio, the Z Fighters had finally returned to Earth.
Krillin decided to head toward Kame House, wanting to check on the situation there. Yamcha followed him since he honestly had nowhere else to go.
Tenshinhan chose to search for Launch, and Chiaotzu immediately followed after him.
Only Piccolo remained alone.
After King Kai's death, Piccolo returned to the wastelands near the place where he had once trained Gohan as a child. There, surrounded by silence and ruined cliffs, he began meditating while slowly recovering his strength.
At Kami's Lookout,
the elderly Kami and Mr. Popo stood quietly at the edge of the platform, watching the Earth below.
As life slowly returned across the planet, Kami smiled faintly.
"It seems that even after merging with Piccolo a part of me still remained," he said thoughtfully. "Perhaps King Yemma allowed my soul or a fragment of it to return here."
Mr. Popo listened silently to his Friend .
Kami looked toward the distant horizon.
"And it seems Earth still has hope."
But his smile soon faded as he saw Below them, the cities were filled with chaos.
People fought over food and supplies. Some were looting stores while others wandered helplessly through the streets, searching for family members or shelter.
Kami let out a tired sigh.
"The wounds left behind by the Androids will not heal so easily"
Then suddenly, his expression changed as His senses locked onto a familiar energy moving through the skies.
Android 18.
He watched her flying lazily toward the mountains.
"She's leaving…" Kami murmured, his brows furrowing slightly But before he could think further, his attention shifted again.
Far away, near the destroyed remains of Dr. Gero's laboratory, only broken cliffs and scattered rubble remained. Dust covered the wasteland where the hidden base once stood.
Then Something moved beneath the debris and Slowly, a figure rose from the ruins.
Kami's eyes narrowed instantly and The moment he sensed that presence, his expression darkened.
"…This energy…"
Even from across the planet, he could feel it clearly Hatred ..Pure overwhelming hatred.
Mr. Popo immediately looked toward him.
"Kami?"
Kami remained silent for several seconds before speaking in a grave tone.
"Please let me be wrong" he said quietly.
"Because whatever just awakened down there… carries terrifying malice."
