Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Birth of the Six Paths Brothers

Chapter 13: The Birth of the Six Paths Brothers

From beginning to end, Minamikawa Yuu believed Kaguya would never harm him.

That certainty came from years of living side by side.

Over time, they had long since become the closest people in each other's lives.

Anyone else in the world might betray him, but Kaguya was the one exception.

After that, Kaguya began preparing to implant Karma.

As the Ōtsutsuki Clan's vital method of reincarnation, Karma was not something that could be planted casually. The host had to be chosen carefully.

If someone lacked the tolerance to withstand Ōtsutsuki chakra, they simply could not bear Karma's power. One mistake, and their body would collapse and die on the spot.

In that sense, Yuu's natural conditions were not ideal.

Fortunately, his body had been nourished by Kaguya's chakra for many years, so he had adapted to her energy to some extent.

Even so, the implantation did not go smoothly.

Kaguya had to expend a great deal of effort just to plant a fragmented Karma into Yuu's body.

For Yuu, that was already the limit.

If it went any further, his body would collapse.

"Is this the Karma?"

Yuu lifted his hand.

In the center of his palm, a fragmented diamond shaped mark appeared. It carried a strange beauty, distinct and unmistakable, and it radiated a mysterious aura.

As Karma took hold, an aura similar to Kaguya's began to emerge from Yuu's body.

Power that belonged to Kaguya was remodeling him from within, forcing changes through his flesh and blood.

He even began to look younger, as if he were returning to his youth.

That change surprised Kaguya slightly.

Fortunately, the process remained stable, and no serious accident occurred.

When it was finally over, Kaguya let out a long breath.

"I have a feeling…"

She whispered as she looked at Yuu.

"Our children are about to be born…"

Perhaps it was the nature of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, or perhaps it was because Kaguya had consumed the chakra fruit, but her pregnancy had lasted far longer than anyone would expect.

Ten years had passed, and she still had not given birth.

But now, Kaguya felt it clearly.

Her children were coming.

It would not be much longer.

"They're about to be born?"

Yuu nodded, a smile spreading across his face.

If nothing unexpected happened, the children in Kaguya's womb would become the future Sage of Six Paths.

It was a strange thought.

In the Ninja World where Yuu's main body existed, the Sage of Six Paths was an absolute titan.

Yet in this world, the Sage of Six Paths would be his child.

Some twists of fate were that subtle, leaving an inexplicable feeling in one's chest.

Yuu felt emotion rise as thoughts flickered through his mind.

Time continued to flow, slow and inevitable.

In the second year, Kaguya officially went into labor.

After a single night passed, she gave birth to two baby boys.

Following the naming conventions of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, she named them Hagoromo and Hamura.

They were the future Sage of Six Paths and Ōtsutsuki Hamura.

After the brothers were born, Yuu watched them carefully for a time.

As the future Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo's eyes were ordinary.

They were not the Rinnegan.

That differed from the records of the original story, further confirming Yuu's hypothesis about parallel timelines.

Because in the original course of events, Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo's Rinnegan should have been innate.

The most likely reason for the difference was simple.

In the original story, the Sage of Six Paths was conceived by Kaguya alone, carrying purer Ōtsutsuki blood.

In this world, Hagoromo was born from Yuu and Kaguya, and mortal blood existed within him.

That change altered the result.

As for Hamura, he inherited Kaguya's Byakugan.

The potential within both children was immense.

Originally, because their father was mortal, the bloodline of the two boys should have been diluted.

But because Kaguya consumed the chakra fruit while nurturing them, they benefited from it directly and gained vast potential.

They looked ordinary now, but the power sleeping within their bodies was enormous. Once fully developed, they would not be weaker than the direct descendants of the Ōtsutsuki Main Family.

"These two children have each inherited a part of my abilities," Kaguya said as she looked at them.

Both Hagoromo and Hamura inherited Kaguya's pure Ōtsutsuki bloodline, making them Ōtsutsuki from birth.

However, what they inherited from her was different.

As the elder brother, Hagoromo inherited more of the chakra fruit's power within Kaguya. His Byakugan would remain hidden, and there was a high chance he would awaken the Rinnegan in the future.

As the younger brother, Hamura inherited more of Kaguya's pure Ōtsutsuki bloodline. He possessed the Byakugan from birth, and it was possible for him to take it a step further and evolve the Tenseigan, something extremely rare even among the Ōtsutsuki Clan.

"Thank you for your hard work."

After settling the two children, Yuu walked to Kaguya and drew her into his arms.

The two of them enjoyed those peaceful years, letting the world settle as they simply lived.

After that, the years continued to pass.

With the birth of the two brothers, the entire Land of Ancestors celebrated.

Festivals were held everywhere. The people rejoiced that their king now had heirs.

In the blink of an eye, another dozen years passed.

Hagoromo and Hamura grew up.

As time went on, their bodies matured, and their growth in strength far surpassed ordinary people.

Because they carried the Ōtsutsuki bloodline, even if they did not actively train or study, their power increased day by day. They were innately stronger than anyone else.

And unlike their mother, Kaguya, the brothers were eager to learn.

They worked hard.

With talent beyond ordinary people and effort to match, their growth rate was terrifying.

In just over a dozen years, they became powerhouses by the standards of the world.

Within the Land of Ancestors, aside from a few people including Kaguya, no one could match them.

One day, the brothers came to the royal palace of the Land of Ancestors and sought out Yuu.

"You want to go out and travel for training?"

Inside the palace, Yuu was still handling government affairs. Hearing their request, he looked up in surprise.

"Yes, Father."

Before Yuu, Hagoromo and Hamura were respectful.

"You once said that everything needs practice to have meaning," Hagoromo said, his voice loud and full of enthusiasm. "We have studied in the palace for many years. We feel it is time to go out and see the world."

Compared to him, Hamura was calmer, but the intent in his eyes was the same.
