Kisame also turned and left without hesitation.

The result was a gigantic cross-shaped spear over twenty meters long, roaring to meet the descending 'Blue Sun'.

A violent storm of energy annihilated everything in the vicinity.
Even Shinji was forced backward dozens of meters, carving two deep grooves into the ground with his feet.

But Shinji had underestimated the impact power of this form. He couldn't knock it away instantly, and they became locked in a stalemate.
An irritating, high-pitched screeching sound filled the air.
Sparks flew everywhere.
Under this immense pressure and friction, Shinji's sword—which already had a bite mark in it—finally gave way!

The blade snapped clean in two.
With the sword broken, the enemy slammed downwards.
Channeling a massive amount of cursed energy into his throat, Shinji discarded his weapon and threw a heavy right punch, shouting: "STOP!"
Under the effect of an invisible force, the spinning girl came to an abrupt halt. Shinji then smashed his fist directly into that turtle-like face!

Moxi was sent flying backward, crashing into the ground and rolling repeatedly before finally stopping.

The armored girl stood up, merely shaking her head slightly as if nothing had happened.
A third tail—gray, armored, and covered in spikes—hammered against the ground repeatedly, making a dull thump-thump sound.
It was clear that this armor was incredibly hard.
However, through observation, Shinji had finally figured out some details.
It seemed that every tail she grew granted her the characteristics of a different Tailed Beast, but she had to rotate the face on the back of her head to match that beast in order to use its abilities.
Simply put, she currently had three tails: a yellow sand tail, a blue flame tail, and a gray armor tail.
These corresponded to Shukaku (One-Tail), Matatabi (Two-Tails), and Isobu (Three-Tails) respectively.
Moxi could use portions of their powers, but apparently not simultaneously; she had to 'change faces' to switch modes.
- Turning into the Tanuki face allowed her to use Wind Release, Magnet Release, and Sand Control.
- Turning into the Blue Cat face allowed her to use Flame abilities.
Although not fully confirmed, this was the conclusion Shinji had drawn from their fight so far.
"Her power seems to be sealable and releasable. Every time a tail is unlocked, her cursed energy and physical strength increase drastically, and she gains new abilities. I never thought a curse spirit born from humanity's fear of Tailed Beasts could be this terrifying."
Shinji wondered if he should keep fighting her head-on.
She had only unlocked three tails so far, and she was already this strong.
If she continued and unlocked nine... or even ten tails!
He didn't even dare imagine what would happen.
And if she also possessed a Domain Expansion, he had absolutely no guarantee of winning.
