It felt only yesterday since the battle against the Enchantress happened, many things happened before as there were loss for many, many to find hope, places her destroyed, but some were rebuilt once more with kind hearted people to help. But it wasn't forgotten that many were still inflicted by the Enchantress's actions that nearly destroyed towns, memorial places, and even the entire country was threatened by her actions. But in time has soon passed after the war officially ended and all the horror that conflicted within the mountains by the Enchantress, soon her wares, influence, and damaged made in the mountains were stripped away by the people of Alvera as ordered by the king himself. They let the mountains to heal on their own, trusting the words of a dragon and his people to fix their home on their own. Then the others who fought against the enchantress and defeated her were rewarded greatly by Kind Zinch even honouring them as Devandia's protectors.
Each celebrated in joy, some of the memorial people who served the king can hear others cheered for them, but for some who had worked with the Enchantress before did got side eye by others, but as they celebrated with her some of the eyes drifted away. As it Moria though felt guilty of her actions before of her past was able to forget her terrible past as she felt the embrace of Ezrael's arms, she even blushed a bit.
However it was not without cause as they have lost a kind and gentle warrior, as Yamma still places her arm close to Ralian still trying to comfort her as she held one of Gale's gauntlets on around her arms.
During the aftermath of the war, King Zinch asked the people to hold a funeral for the fallen warrior Gale who sacrificed themselves to save all of Devandia. One by one they walked towards the casket with the remaining armour of Gale.
Starting with Venny and Dani held Gale's leggings and gauntlets, walking closer to the casket "we may have not known you the best out of all. But you carried great respect and will power to carry on your friend's legacy, for that we thank you" Dani said wiping off a tear
"Be sure to see Jin for us in the after life kid" Venny said as they both placed that leggings and gauntlets into the casket carefully placing like arms and legs before they walked away.
Next was Ezrael and Moria as they both were holding Gale's chest plate as they both stand next to the casket.
"Gale I am sorry for the pain I have bring you, but despite all I done against you and almost breaking trust with the druid, you still accept me to be part of the team, like family." Moria said tearing from her eyes.
"Azulen though that may be your true name, you always find yourself to be Gale, I understand what's it like to lose someone who accepts you into a human society so may my old friend Calem look after you, as may we see a new version of you in the near future." Ezrael said as they both carefully placed the chest plate in the middle of the casket and they both walked away.
After all had said their woes and opening their hearts to how Gale treated them with the little resistance but with respect for the people Gale has met throughout their life. Even some of their friends they met on their travels arrived here, Miguel and Geek managed to make their way to Alvera only to say their heartfelt words, and apologizing for not helping them in any other way.
More came to say their prey all until it's Ralian turn. She walks with Yamma while holding onto Gale's remaining armour piece, Gale's helmet and sword while Yamma held Gale's shield.
Yamma starts first "I may not have much to say, but you were the best leader I ever been with so thank you Gale for everything"
Yamma stepped back one step only for Ralian to say her prayer "may the gods worshipped among my people and guide you to a better afterlife where you can finally see you family and your friends, as one day we will come and meet you once more. Thank you for everything Gale Night our friend, our leader, and our family" Ralian places the helmet first onto the chest plate then the sword but moves the both gauntlets as they are holding onto the grip of the sword's handle. Yamma then passes her the shield as Ralian places above Gale's chest before she says one final goodbye "may you find peace as you sleep."
As she began to leave, saying one last goodbye to her friend before the casket was then closed and sealed as they all began to work together and carry the casket outside of Alvera while being led by Dani once again. They bring the casket all the way out of Alvera towards the hill where Jin was buried last time. They had also dug out another hold big enough to place Gale's casket as they began to lower the casket lower into the ground. As each person then grabbed a clump of dirt dropping it into the hole one by one in a repeating pattern till the hole was fully filled then stabbed with a cross with a note of the last words telling how great of a person Gale was. "No matter who they are, whether a person, hybrid, changeling, shapeshifter, but one we call friend shall be remembered from everyone and to all our hearts. Rest in Peace, Gale Night, as to another Azulen the grateful" reading from what the note of the cross said. Each began to leave while they said their final goodbyes to their two friends they lost while the light was becoming darker.
First came Dani and Venny
"Jin, Gale, you two were the best people we have met"
"Though one we of course know more. But to you more importantly Gale you are a great friend. Be sure to see our friend while you're gone" they both leave but they waited for their friends to finish their final goodbyes.
Then comes Moria and Ezrael
"Azulen, Jin thank you for aiding us in this battle."
"Though meeting you two did give me a bad feeling to myself after all I was working with the ones who defeated me before. But you and most people were really kind to me. Willing to give me a second chance for what I did, I thank you both for it"
Ezrael nodded "indeed, Jin without your noble sacrifice, if Ossom lived thus we would have lost against the enchantress. And to you Gale thank you for saving my people's home as they will live once more till our extinction".
They both hold hands with each other before backing away standing with Dani and Venny.
Then finally Ralian and Yamma walked forwards towards their graves,
Yamma starts first "Jin I know I tried to hunt you down before with my team, and I know I don't deserve your forgiveness. But thank you for looking out for my old friends. As well with you Gale and thank you too as well for all those fun adventures you me, and Ralian had together I am thankful for what you did". Yamma then backs away to give Ralian her space to speak her mind out of for Gale.
"Gale I... don't know what to say though I have always been the one who does all the talking with others... now I'm not sure what to say anymore." Ralian stands near their graves as tears begin to pour from her face "it's I never knew when Yamma first caught me I was skeptical when I first met you. Thinking of you all as another person who wanted to take what valuables I have, knowing I've been stalking you and your friends. But when you first set your sights upon me, I also knew you well deep down and knowing your secret I nearly broke our friendship."
Ralian grabs onto one of her antlers as she snaps a piece off from her antlers ignoring the pain as she stops the bleeding with her healing magic. Ralian then kneels down planting the piece of her antler into the ground.
"With this antler I have planted it. Within a few years may it be a proud tree witnessing all the events it will uphold throughout the years."
As she stands up with a new faith in grace while the dark is somehow bright. They all notice glowing rocks flying through the skies
"Are those..."
"Shooting stars?"
They all look at the bright light.
"Oooh we can make a wish." Moria smiling with happiness "come on everyone we can make a wish for good fortune"
Venny sighs "sure it wouldn't hurt to gamble on something" Venny ready to make his wish.
"Hey leave some for us, you wish hogger."
The others quickly try to think of what to make their wish as Ralian looks towards the skies placing her hands flat against each other closing her eyes she makes one exhale.
"Dear shooting stars, may I make my wish come true". Deep thought about her wish wanting to think of something that may benefit her or with all her friends. But she quickly knows what she will wish for, she smiles as she wishes from the heart of something she knows will come true, even if it takes centuries to happen.
