Meanwhile time has passed, and outside Moria wakes up, jolting upwards as she sees herself on a bed, she quickly looks around her surroundings to see if the enchantress is near. But all she sees are Gale, Ralian, and Jin waking up as well and they all seem to find themselves in one of the beds in Livestock. Moria knowing that she isn't safe anymore, tries to get off bed and sneak away the best she could. But notice her hands were tied along with a collar on her neck as she sees Ezrael waiting leaning on the side of the door.
"Morning. Siren". Moria's eyes widen at the sight of Ezrael Fendrick staring at her.
"You!" Moria tries to scream, but she couldn't somehow as she tries to sing but couldn't either, as if anything she tried with her vocal cords were suddenly shut down when ever she got offensive.
"Those sounds you make aren't going to work anymore"
"What did you do to me" she demanded to know.
"You see, when that seal activated on your neck, I uses the spell from the book I read that led me to, and got rid of seal symbol off from your neck. We escape thanks to the smog hound teleporting every people out from your lair" as Ezrael quickly explaining what happened back at her lair Moria quickly cut Ezrael off.
"No not that, I don't care what you did to my home. But what is this lustrous thing on my neck" Moria pointing the collar on her neck.
"Simple that collar one you has a binding spell, meaning your magic has been disabled"
"But aren't you if a siren doesn't breath in water for days they could die"
"We know that, you still have access to your Siren form, but right now that's not necessary"
"Morning Ezrael" "morning Azulen" they greeted each other.
As the three walk passed Ezrael leaving him with Moria alone, "so what, done staring at me. If you're gonna do it, then just do it, I already got passed death once and I know I don't deserve a second chance"
"You would think me killing you off for what you did to me at the forest, but I chose not to. However, Ralian, and the whole people of Livestock thinks that this is what you deserve. Then think again or better look outside"
Moria was confused, but gets off the bed and looked through the window as she witnesses all the people of Livestock flourishing their own lives as they worked together and rebuild their village "why does everyone look like all happy and cheery, and not wanting any bloodshed on me"
"Some actually did wanted to see your blood the be shed on their lovely town, but Azulen and thankfully Azulen put on their helmet the one you stole, before talking to the people persuade the people not to kill you. Though some were against Azulen's decision including Ralian. But Jin supported their actions as they hoped you would change from this rescue"
Moria chuckle a bit feeling a bit amused at those words, "change. I am not a changeling like your friend so how is it that I'm going to change, how ironic"
"Well its not a win, win situation for you"
"Excuse me?"
"You see, Jin called his buddies over from Alvera to her in Livestock helping the people making their repairs easier and I since I have heard that Captain Dani was also part of the special forces team she can give you charges"
"Oh that wind caster, and their friendship group of barf, what did they gave me"
"Its either you serve a lifelong sentence, or do a lifelong community service for the people who bested you, that being the Nightly crew"
"Oh that's just perfect, it's that naive changeling who's companion with a Druid who hates me and the Wind Caster I fought years ago whose friend I have gave a scar to"
"This sounds like an ultimatum"
"Why are you acting like this, aren't you the person who is serious the time"
"Sometimes someone once told me that a way to tease someone was to imitate their worse personality"
"Ha, ha, very funny, never thought you could be a comedian" Moria obviously being sarcastic as Ezrael smirks and started to walk away.
"Hey where you going?"
"Downstairs to eat. What else"
"Well what about me, are you just going to leave me here?"
"Perhaps, but that is your decision to make whether you want to stay here and face the consequences, or discuss down stairs with the others. Like someone I knew, there is always a second chance" but before he leaves he looked at Moria one more time.
"Also, I know what happened to your friend. Long live species like you and I, always have to bear the burden of seeing friends getting taken by the passage of time and age". Moria was surprised that Ezrael knew of her loss of her best friend, but kind of understood what Ezrael met since they can live for many years than most humans who can only live up to a hundred.
Then Ezrael leaves Moria as he walks downstairs to meet up with the rest of the NIghtly Crew as he leaves Moria upstairs as she felt a bit remorseful as she rethinks of her friend before meeting the enchantress as her and Beak were the only family they have for each other as Beak would be the one teaching how what food she can or cannot eat, being a good look out, as he was protected by Moria. But alas Beak only had twenty years to live while Moria had centuries left and throughout the many years Beak would've succumbed to age as he died in Moria's arm.
Moria had suddenly shed a tear wiping the tear of her face, she noticed that the window is unlocked and the ties on her hand were greatly loosed as her spear is only across her room. She tried to make an infinitive to go for the escape, but stopped for a moment. "No they are definitely anticipating this otherwise why did they left me if they felt all cheery towards me. Especially that wind caster, I know his abilities almost too well."
Moria stops thinking of a solution but decided to go with Ezrael's proposal with her hands tied she walks down the stairs as she sees everyone waiting for her.
"I knew it" Moria feeling disappointed in herself.
"Well at least you made the most normal decision then just purely escaping otherwise I would've detect you straight away"
"I knew you were going to do that wind caster. So helpful of you to keep me with surveillances on me" Moria sarcastically complimenting Jin.
"Also what did you do to the Unknown, you know my beast, my hypnotized beast?"
"Well after I have defeated the Unknown, Ezrael was the one who let him return to his home"
"But isn't his home invaded by the enchantress" the three were confused but Moria sees their faces of confusion, as she smiled, quickly shifted back into her old devious personality. "oh you didn't know, that's right, I'm the only one with the knowledge of that mistress witch and her elite goonies such as Ossom the Executioner, and Hazard the Traitorous Thunderer."
Gale taken by surprise to hear an old name "wait Hazard is connected with the Enchantress, that would explain why he left us so sudden"
Moria snickers for revealing her old colleague names. "Is that why you also kept me alive"
"that's one way of putting it" Gale replied.
But that only made Moria cackled once more in laughter "of course it is normal for mortal's curiosity to get the best of them"
But Ralian quickly pointed her arrow at Moria "in case you don't get it Siren, your not in a position to negotiate"
"Ralian stop, stand down. Moria is in the custody of the Nightly crew it would be wise not to kill your newly appointed companion" Ezrael giving an order to Ralian.
But Moria began to smile calmly "oh and why the druid decided to stay with one a changeling she despise also with a siren"
"She's... not" Gale said remorseful and sad.
"Oh. And how so" Moria also getting curious.
"due to her circumstances within the group. She's willing to depart from the group for now as she needs to find her own path. Thus I will be covering her spot" Ezrael explaining to Moria that he will be joining the Nightly Crew in replace of Ralian.
"So the dragon warrior is joining the night brand. Can't say that's a downgrade"
"I am only looking after whom I have best interest in"
"Sure best interest totally" Moria rolling her eyes in sarcasm.
"But for now as we greet to anew, we should be bidding farewell to another".
Ezrael, Jin, and Gale turned their attention towards Ralian as they were prepared to greet her goodbye, then they began to leave the inn as they see the people of LIvestock having their way in repairing the village. And surprisingly to know that Dani and Venny are seen near the gates of Livestock commanding the guards and workers to help the village as they both notice the group the walked towards them and greeted them. But mostly greeting their friend Jin, as Venny tried to sneak attack Jin, but was blocked by Jin's wind construct as he lands back besides Dani.
"No matter where you go Jin, danger always have a way to find you"
"Is that suppose to be a compliment Venny" Dani raising an eyebrow at Venny.
"Dani you should know by now, Jin know the way I give compliment to others"
"Having a long day commanding the guards of Alvera, Captain" Jin complimenting Dani's work in commanding the guards.
"This is nothing but child's work. Also I see why your here" Dani looking at Ralian.
"Indeed so when will you guys be going" Ralian asked.
"This is the last order before me and Venny had to go back to Alvera"
"So can I tag along" Dani was shocked by her words so sudden.
"Wait are you saying your leaving your team" Venny also surprised by Ralian's decision as she sighs.
"Unfortunately yes I need to find my own path now, and I just don't feel welcome anymore"
"Well I understand your decision, sometimes for some people adventuring around the world my look fun and fascinating, but you will bog down one day, trust me I speak from experiment" Venny giving Ralian some closure as he had once done a extreme adventure with Jin and Dani.
"Thanks Venny, so when's the next transport wagon is coming"
"Soon, you just have to stay here and we'll tell you when we're leaving"
"Alright I guess I will bid farewell to you all" Ralian turning towards the rest saying her goodbyes to them all.
"Don't worry Ralian you know we'll visit Alvera time to time. So it's only temporary" Gale trying their best not to cry during this moment.
But to at ease, Gale then raised their fist towards Ralian, and she did so too as they connected fists. Then the four began to leave Livestock while Ralian stayed behind with Venny and Dani waving goodbye. Jin summons the wind, but then felt a slight pain under his gauntlet, not wanting to make his friends worried especially the two closed to him feel more worried, he needs to keep it a secret, forcing himself to ignore the pain. Then he uses the wind despite feeling the pain makes everyone levitates them all away from Livestock flying off towards the distance as to start another adventure. As Dani, Venny, and even Ralian watches their friends flying off to the horizon, still knowing.
Their journey of an adventuring far and wide across Devandia may had ended. But their new road of their journey as already begin.
