Journeying away from Rawardia, Jin first activates his wind magic and levitates them all and flies towards the east of Devandia and thanks to Jin they are swiftly making their way towards the Village of Livestock. Flying through a flock of birds and passing by more towns and village across the sky while flying through the air Jin is keeping his focus on levitating them all carefully while Gale and Ralian are talking to one another.
"So what should we expect when we get to Livestock?"
"There could be that harmonious singing that Miguel mentioned. Let's keep our ears shut"
"Okay sounds good, but... wait Jin have you been there before"
"I guess you can say that, I mean from a previous adventure I had with Venny and Dani. Whenever we were needed to be in another city or settlement, it was mostly deal with monsters, help find some lost treasures, or even find a traitor, it was basically normal labor work once you got the hang of it."
"Sounds like bounty hunting is better than just doing community"
"Yeah I mean most of the enemies we had to fight back then, were mostly powerful enough to destroy the whole country." Gale and Ralian suddenly stayed a bit quiet after listening to what Jin had to fight, from the mentioned Vanquish the Vague, a pack of human hybrid with some features that to a wolf with venomous claws that can kill the person by next moon, and finally Venny himself.
But as they were listening to Jin's many fights with many people with almost supernatural powers and abilities. There was something in Ralian's mind that she couldn't forget, as the wanderer guy Miguel had mentioned.
"What about that wanderer fellow" she asking the two.
"What do you mean Ralian?" Gale caught off a bit from her question.
"Isn't it suspicious that he marked the location while knowing there are fishermen going missing"
"You may have a bit of a good point, I mean me and the others did have come across many travelling warriors. Could this possibly related to me in some ways."
"Well... maybe..."
However during their conversation with each other, Jin suddenly stopped moving in the air for a moment as they all are now levitating much to Gale and Ralian's confusion as he started to look around their surroundings.
"Hey Jin what happened? Why did we stopped in the middle of the air?" Gale asked, but Jin quickly raised his hand to stop Gale and be careful and silent.
"I sense something"
"Sense something? Where is it" Gale and Ralian quickly get their weapons ready as they all began to look around in the air for anything suspicious that may attack them. Then suddenly without them knowing Jin creates a wind current causing them all to move faster than before.
"Where are we going?" Gale and Ralian suddenly are flailing around trying to keep a steady flow from the strong wind current Jin had created. He sees them flailing around in his wind current, and he quickly creates some wind constructs to allow them to be more steady through the wind current as he continues the path through the wind.
"I sense something big and is heading toward us"
"Then shouldn't it be better if we're on land?"
"Can't. This thing is going faster even with this wind current, we need to get out of their sight"
Then Ralian spots a forest nearby just towards their right "Jin!" Ralian shouted as Jin heard and saw Ralian pointing towards the forest nearby "got it".
Quickly Jin changes the direction of the current leading them towards the forest "alright Rai do your thing" Ralian using a swipe of her hand leading the vines towards one tree and towards another tree creating a vine trap walls.
But the thing plows through the wall of vines "my vines did nothing to that thing"
"Jin can you sense what it looks like"
"Can't do that Gale I need to focus on us getting away from this".
As Jin is quickly navigating through the forest Ralian is still trying to create more vine trap walls, as to hope to slow the thing down, but it always past through every vine trap Ralian places "this thing is just persistent, vines enchanted with my power, and cut away as if it was nothing".
As they now suddenly sees boulders and rocks being thrown at them, and they are quickly to react as Gale is cutting the logs in half, and Ralian using vines and bomb arrows to destroy some of the boulders and trying to catch the boulders and swing them back to whoever throws the boulders at them.
Still quickly maneuvering through the whole forest Jin started to get frustrated over this unexpected chase "ah screw it"
Jin suddenly turns towards the thing that is in pursuit at them and summons a massive blast of wind along with creating a massive vortex as it shrinks into the size of his palm as he throws it at the beast that was pursuing them and they heard a loud explosion of wind making contact. The blast of wind was so powerful as it was repelling them away and slowly shifting to the right and left so they don't crash into any trees thanks to Jin's quick thinking when maneuvering through the trees. As Jin used all his might to at least get out of range away from the thing till reaching far enough into the forest Jin can no longer sense the thing chasing them, they felt a bit relieved.
"I think we lost it" Gale feeling a bit relieved to get away.
"Yeah, but what was that thing?"
"I don't know but it wasn't one of the things I fought"
"Could it be some sort of magical beast?"
"What do you mean, I have faced many mythical creatures back in the day, and we have never fought something that our attacks can't hit it."
The area becomes a bit more quiet and it doesn't settle with the others so far, as they are still bracing for anything suspicious. But Jin quickly uses the wind to spread throughout the forest trying to sense anything, but from all the animals that lived here, he sensed something from the distance. Though it doesn't feeling like the things that attack them, the body was a bit smaller and slimmer, he tries to take a closer look from the sense of the wind.
However suddenly a roar was heard across the entire forest and Jin couldn't sense it in time. Jin looked back from the others then from above, as he was suddenly punched by the thing plummeting to the ground. Gale and Ralian were shocked to witness Jin getting taken out so quickly and brutal, as they saw the thing that was perusing them, they take a quick look at the thing chasing them. But they were surprised to see that the thing is not just a thing, but a beast. A beast with dark fur like the blue sky, a shell that is hard as the mightiest of shields with a horns on its head, curved pointing at each other while in front of his mouth. And yet the appearance does resembles a large gorilla expect with the armour it was like a turtle.
But they could think for much longer on the beast's appearance as they quickly realized without Jin's wind magic. The wind that has kept them up float for so long suddenly disappears as Gale and Ralian also began to fall and they also plummeted down to the ground. As they all feel the impact of the ground the thing then leaves them to perish as it laughs manically with a trail of spirits leaving away from the thing as he move towards the sky and roars as loud as it can with a spiritual cry, to give out a signal to someone nearby before giving out a suspicious smile.
"Come to me, my servant"
The voice echoing allowing the thing to hear. The thing then flew back towards the person who called for them as it blitz with incredible speed. Landing near a body of water with a waterfall as it kneeled down as the person then resurfaced walking out of the water.
"Good work my little pet, you got them where I want them. And if you're wandering if you want to go and take a piece from them, then you'll have to wait your turn" the person in strange clothes giggled almost devilishly.
"You've already worn out my prey, and I need you for a better task. Now go my big oaf make sure my captors don't get too comfortable to escaping my dungeon, make them beg for their lives" the person spoke in a lustful tone.
As the thing roared proudly, pounding his chest loudly as the it started to levitate off the ground and with full force got itself into the air flying high. As the person watches from below smiling once more as they head back into the water waiting for their prey to appear.
