It happened during something very ordinary.
They were sitting on the floor of Haruto's apartment, backs against the couch. Takeout boxes were scattered around. The TV played quietly, neither of them really watching.
Miyu leaned her head against his shoulder.
"I like this," she said suddenly.
"This?" Haruto asked.
"Nothing special," she replied. "Just being here."
He smiled, resting his head lightly against hers.
"…Me too."
A pause.
Then, without looking at her, Haruto said,"You know… sometimes I think about the future."
Miyu's heart skipped, but she stayed calm."What kind of future?"
"…One where mornings still feel like Hana Café," he said. "Quiet. Warm. With you."
She looked up at him.
"That sounds nice," she whispered.
He hesitated, then added,"I don't know when. Or how. But… I want to build something. Together."
She didn't answer with words.
She kissed him—slow, sure.
That was enough.
