Plot- don't really have any ideas for this one just wondering why someone in these worlds never does this.
why not telepathically copy all world leaders minds make clones and implant there minds in those clones to take over the world by slowly changing things in way's that make it so that people will not get suspicious if the world leaders formed a unified front against the insane amount of threats out there.
Then slowly expand that groups influence over the world by controlling the media to release "secret" info about how big and scary the universe really is and making shows like star trek popular alongside movies and shows where humans being divided made them get wiped out making the public even if a small amount want humanity to become something like the federation, then blow this possibility up on the internet so it is a thing in the majority's minds that they would like to see happen within there lifespan.
now most people will think this is a far off dream and just stick to relying on the hero's but with how many alien invasion's and monster attacks there are in this world plus the your already formed group with support from almost all if not all world leaders there will probably be some small groups pushing for this to become reality who only need a big world threatening event where the hero's and there individual governments fail to save them, getting them temporarily enslaved or something but then for the united group you formed to succeed and free them, plus some minor mind control of influential people who would be against it and the media diverting the publics inevitable (unjustified) anger from the hero's to supporting the group that wants a united humanity, then use this engineered public pressure to "force" the world leaders (who are under your control) to completely unite as one planet without being separated into countries or things like that.
this could put the group you formed at the start in total control of the planet, and since all the members of said group are just clones you control you are now in control of the planet. I know this plan probs has many flaws and ways it could fail but this is a plan by a average person someone like Lex is def smart enough to make something like this work, so I just wonder why they don't.
( yes I know they are fictional and just do what the writers want but I just wanted to write this out)
