Chapter 21 - Homecoming and Pending Meetings

Kai was in deep space; without his armor, his body began to freeze. Although his physiology was not totally invulnerable to extreme heat and cold, he could withstand it for a time. While he floated, he felt safe, but his mind did not rest: he thought and thought about how to reach his home.

Then, he understood that he had to sense the energy of one of the strongest beings in existence: Horacio, also known as Legion. Kai sat in a lotus position and began to meditate. His mind started to delve into a swarm of stars, navigating galaxy by galaxy through his consciousness. It took a great effort until he finally found a massive galaxy where he felt a colossal power. He slowly drew closer until he identified the Great Sun of Jetrix and the Great Planet.

In that instant, he felt Horacio's powerful presence in a forest, chopping wood. Horacio turned around; he felt someone watching him and realized immediately it was Kai. Without losing a second, Horacio vanished from where he was and appeared through a portal right beside the boy.

In that place, Horacio did not have his normal human form; instead, he appeared as a black humanoid specter that gave off a power as vast as a black hole. —"Boy! What are you doing here?" Horacio asked. —"First, take me home, and then I'll explain," Kai replied.

Horacio took the boy back to his home immediately. Kai spent the rest of the day talking with Celeste and Horacio about everything that had happened. Upon hearing the story, Horacio gave him a stern warning: —"The next time you want to go to the Abyss, tell me. I am the head of that place. That 'Goblin' who left you there is one of my subordinates, and I will be speaking with him."

Kai explained that, despite everything, the man had treated him with respect and that it had all been part of a deal he himself had accepted. —"I see," said Horacio, "but next time, come and talk to me directly." —"Alright," Kai agreed.

Finally, Kai thanked him deeply for rescuing him from that forgotten corner of the universe.

The Chaotic Reunion and the New Mission

Kai returned home, where everyone was submerged in a sea of tears. Marion, Luna's mother, arrived with him. When Kai stepped through the door, an explosion of shouts and cries of joy broke out. Seeing them all rush toward him, Kai multiplied himself so he could embrace every one of them at the same time.

Marion and Lyris watched from the side as Kai greeted his one hundred and eighteen wives. —"Thank you, my love!" Luna said through her sobs. "You have no idea how much I thank you for bringing my mother back. I knew she hadn't died, but my father didn't believe me."

After nearly three hours of the queens refusing to let him go, Kai unified back into a single body. Marion and Lyris sat on the sofa with him. —"How are you, mother-in-law?" Kai asked. —"Very well, Warlock King. Thank you for getting me out of there." —"And thank you for getting me out," Kai replied.

Marion asked with curiosity where he had appeared, but Kai preferred not to go into details about deep space. —"Better not to speak of that. I understand you want to spend time with your daughter, but there is someone I need you to visit." —"I know. Do you want me to go see Fausto?" —"Yes. I will send an entourage with the one hundred and eighteen queens and yourself to the Central City. I have things to do here in the capital, and then I will follow. I need to speak with someone first."

Since it was night, everyone slept with Kai. He was exhausted and fell into a deep sleep in the giant bed, surrounded by all of them. The queens invited Lyris to embrace him as well. She did so and felt immense happiness, though she still believed her master did not return her feelings.

The next day, Governor Alequei organized the entourage. Kai ordered generals and part of the army to accompany the queens and Duchess Marion. The entire country was celebrating: the original heir had returned, but Fausto did not know it yet.

Lyris's True Love

While the queens set off for the Central City, Kai stayed behind alone with Lyris at the beach house. His wives already knew that there was a conversation pending between the two of them that could not wait.

Meanwhile, in the Central City, the reunion was overwhelming. Fausto fell to his knees as he saw the Duchess enter the castle's main hall, holding hands with their daughter, Luna. Destiny had returned everything to him: his wife, his daughter, his lands, and his people. The three of them collapsed together, weeping before the nobles and the queens. The Duke had recovered his life. God had heard his plea. In that Great Hall, love grew stronger for the man who had made it possible.

Back in the capital, Kai sat in an armchair and asked Lyris for a coffee. When she handed it to him, he took her by the hand. —"When I was in the Abyss, I felt the love from all of you. But I also felt yours, Lyris." —"It can't be love. I don't have feelings. You must understand that I don't have them," she insisted.

Kai stood up, took her in his arms, and looked deep into her eyes. —"Since the day I met you, Lyris, you were always my best friend. Ernesto and Alicia are my siblings, but you... I have told you all my secrets for as long as we've known each other. And I'll tell you something: when you sleep, you talk. And you always say, 'Kai, my love.' That's how I know you're lying." —"You don't understand, let me go!" Lyris said. "You have your queens. You always prefer them and leave me aside." —"Do you really think I am here alone with you and not with them because I prefer them right now?" —"All you do, Kai... I know you... you make them all fall in love with you. I know you have a skill for that."

—"Are you saying I'm using my skill to make you fall in love, Lyris?" Kai asked with a playful smile, drawing closer to her lips. —"Do you truly not love me? Because I have loved you my whole life."

In that moment, the young woman couldn't take it anymore; she embraced him and kissed him with the strength of someone who had waited years for that second. Kai returned the kiss, held her close, and whispered: —"I love you, my beautiful queen. But for this union to be true, you must face your sisters."

Lyris kissed him again. Then, Kai teleported her directly to the Central City. They appeared in a giant courtyard, right before the eyes of all the queens, with Lyris clinging to Kai's arm. They all witnessed that kiss.

The Coronation of Lyris and the 119th Queen

Kai turned toward Fausto and held him in a strong embrace. Fausto, jumping with joy, kissed the boy and thanked him repeatedly for everything. —"I am glad you are happy, Fausto," Kai said, "but I have urgent matters to attend to. I am taking my wives and Luna with me." —"Thank you for everything," Fausto replied, deeply moved.

Luna embraced her mother and father tenderly: —"I will return tomorrow, but I must go now." Before the eyes of all the nobles, the King vanished along with the 119 women in a display of pure magic. However, this time they did not appear at the beach house, but inside the Grand Hall of the palace.

Kai spoke to his wives with a serious tone: —"Lyris will be one of the queens, but only if you approve of her feelings. I do not want to override your will; what happened with Aliarda must not happen again. You must decide." —"I will accept whatever my mistresses decide," Lyris said humbly. "I will not put myself above your feelings."

The queens began to laugh among themselves. —"My King, please, could you step out for a moment?" one of them asked.

In the hall, there were 119 thrones arranged in a circle. When they all took their seats, Lyris remained standing, looking at a single empty spot. The queens were smiling. —"Lyris, aren't you going to take your seat?" Seeing that the final throne was for her, tears streamed down her cheeks. The queens to her left and right embraced her warmly. —"We will always accept you. We love you as Kai loves you. We knew it would end this way, but we shall vote formally."

Everyone voted "yes." In that instant, a black ring resting on the table turned a vibrant bluish-violet. It was far from any demonic magic; it was pure high technology. The ring slipped onto Lyris's finger by itself. Then, a great and powerful white light spoke:

—"Hello, how is everyone? My name is Gladys. I am the Master's new Artificial Intelligence. From this moment on, I will handle the activities that Lyris used to manage. Furthermore, I am a personal assistant for each of you. I will be inside your rings with all the information you need and your husband's location at all times. To confirm the users, please stretch out your hands."

The 119 queens extended their hands and watched as the white light entered their rings, each a different color. —"I am your personal assistant. If you need anything, you may consult me," Gladys concluded.

The doors opened, and the White Warlock entered. He walked straight to Lyris and said: —"Welcome to the family. Though, truth be told, you are the one who started this family." Kai began to multiply, but at first, it seemed there was no clone for Lyris, which made her feel a bit sad as she looked at the Kai standing next to her.

—"Why do you feel bad and not hug me?" a voice whispered behind her. "I'm right here!" A clone had appeared out of nowhere behind her. This startled the queens slightly, but they said nothing. The truth was that Kai had recovered his strength in Hell; lifting that massive weight had caused his power to return suddenly. In fact, he was no longer limited to 112 or 113 clones—he could now multiply into a thousand. But that information was top secret, and he would not share it with anyone.

That night, the 119 queens went with their Kai to the giant bed. This time, the bed had a new detail: it was twice as large and had individual sections for each queen. Kai was with Lyris and the 118 queens. And, as always, the moans and cries of pleasure from each of them mingled with the sound of the waves. The Warlock King was now stronger than ever, and his harem continued to grow. Many adventures still awaited this Knight.
