Veyra tore open the demon beast's chest with his sharp claws and dug out its crystal core. A few seconds later, the demon beast's corpse vanished into thin air as if it had never appeared.
Behind the tree, a dark figure tried to escape but was caught by Caelric.
"Who are you?" he asked in a sharp tone, his claws pressed against the beastman's neck.
"Don't kill me, I didn't hurt anyone," the beastman said immediately.
Caelric examined him carefully, and after confirming that he was only a level 3 beastman, he released him.
"Why are you here? Were you the one who brought the demon beast here?" Lucien asked after hearing their conversation.
