Chapter 20 - (Chapter - 17) - The Prison Break of Blood

Near the Sathankulam police station, the chaos had not slowed — it had only changed shape.

Military trucks screeched to a halt one after another, their engines roaring against the rising screams of the village, as soldiers jumped down and began forcing civilians toward a reinforced underground bunker built behind the station.

"Move! Move fast! Don't stop!" a commander shouted, his voice cracking through the panic as families stumbled forward, clutching children, dragging elders, their eyes filled with terror and confusion.

Gunfire erupted continuously from the front lines, where police and army forces had formed a desperate barricade against the incoming demons.

Rifles spat fire, bullets tearing through charging Pisachas, dropping some of them to the ground as they shrieked and twisted violently.

But beyond them, the heavier footsteps of Minotaurs shook the earth, their massive forms pushing forward without fear, without hesitation.

Above the burning rooftops, Vyomasura circled like a predator, its shadow stretching across the streets as it watched the humans scatter below.

The battlefield had already been decided.

This was no longer defense.

This was delay.

Inside the police station, the world felt strangely quieter.

Not peaceful.

Just… isolated.

Thangadurai sat alone in his cell, his back resting against the cold wall, his mind still replaying the face of the son he had just met after nineteen years.

"Shiva…Where are you?" he whispered softly, his voice barely audible over the distant echoes of chaos outside.

For a brief moment, the noise of the world faded, replaced by something fragile — something human.

Then—

A massive impact shook the entire building.

THUD.

The walls trembled violently, dust falling from the ceiling as distant screams echoed through the corridors.

Thangadurai's head snapped toward the iron bars.

"What… was that?"

Another impact.

Closer.

This time, the sound of something tearing through concrete followed.

Not breaking.

Ripping.

Outside the station, one of the larger Minotaurs suddenly stopped mid-charge.

Its glowing eyes flickered unnaturally, its breathing slowing as if something deeper had taken hold of its instincts.

Then its head tilted slightly.

Listening.

A whisper echoed inside its mind.

A command.

A name.

Thangadurai.

who the gatekeeper of hell commands them to kill

The minotaur alpha muscles tightened instantly.

Its nostrils flared as it began sniffing the air, its senses sharpening beyond anything human.

It had found its target.

Without warning, the creature turned away from the battlefield and charged directly toward the police station.

"HEY! IT'S BREAKING OFF!" a soldier shouted, raising his rifle.

"STOP IT!"

Gunfire erupted toward it.

Bullets struck its body—

And bounced off harmlessly.

The creature didn't slow down.

BOOOOM.

The minotaur smashed straight through the outer wall of the police station like it didn't exist.

Concrete exploded inward.

Glass shattered.

Screams echoed instantly.

Inside, officers barely had time to react.

One turned, raising his handgun—

Too late.

The minotaur's massive horn swung once.

The impact crushed him instantly, sending his body slamming into the wall with bone-breaking force.

Another officer fired repeatedly—

The bullets did nothing.

The creature grabbed him.

Then threw him aside like discarded cloth.

Within seconds, the station had become a slaughterhouse.

Walls cracked.

Furniture shattered.

Blood painted the floor.

And through it all—

The creature moved forward.

Searching.

Inside the cell, Thangadurai stood frozen.

He could hear it now.

The footsteps.

Heavy.

Slow.

Coming closer.

His breathing quickened.

"No… no…"

The iron bars rattled slightly as dust fell around them.

Then—

A shadow fell across the corridor.

The minotaur stood there.

Its massive body filled the hallway, its glowing red eyes locking directly onto him.

It had found him.

For a moment, neither moved.

Then the creature stepped forward.

The iron bars trembled.

Thangadurai's mind snapped into survival.

His eyes darted around the cell desperately.

Think.

Think.

THINK.

His gaze landed on the broken wooden bed.

Without hesitation, he rushed toward it, gripping one of the loose legs and yanking it free with all his strength.

The wood cracked—

And came loose.

A makeshift weapon.

Not enough.

But something.

Behind him—

CRASH.

The minotaur slammed its horn against the iron bars.

The metal bent inward with a loud groan.

Thangadurai backed away, his grip tightening on the wooden leg.

He knew he couldn't fight it.

He just needed—

An opening.

His eyes moved upward.

The small ventilation window.

Too high.

But possible.

He rushed toward the western toilet, climbing onto it with urgency, balancing himself as the entire cell shook again.

Another уар.

The bars bent further.

Time was running out.

"Come on…" he muttered, reaching up toward the glass window.

Behind him—

The iron screamed.

The minotaur roared, slamming the bars again.

CRACK.

The metal began tearing apart.

Thangadurai pulled himself higher, gripping the edge of the window.

Then, with everything he had—

He smashed the glass with the wooden leg.

Tried again and again,

Then-

SHATTER.

The window exploded outward.

Fresh air rushed in.

He didn't hesitate.

He forced his body through the narrow gap, glass cutting against his arms as he pushed himself outside.

And then—

He fell.

He hit the ground hard outside the station, rolling across the dirt as pain shot through his body.

But he didn't stop.

He got up instantly.

Behind him—

BOOOOOOM.

The entire wall of the cell exploded outward.

The minotaur burst through it like a demon unleashed.

Thangadurai looked back once—

And cursed under his breath.

"… what the hell is this shit…"

The creature stepped out of the broken station slowly.

Its eyes still locked on him.

Still hunting.

Thangadurai turned—

And ran.

His legs moved faster than they had in years, adrenaline burning through his veins as he sprinted into the chaos of the burning village.

Behind him—

The minotaur alpha followed.

Not rushing.

Not panicking.

Just walking.

Like it knew—

Thangadurai stumbled into the open yard beside the ruined road, his breath tearing through his chest as flames reflected in his eyes and smoke curled through the broken air around him.

Behind him, the Minotaur Alpha stepped forward slowly, its hooves cracking the ground, its body steaming from heat and rage, its glowing eyes locked onto him like death itself had chosen its target.

For a brief second, Thangadurai didn't move — not out of fear, but because his mind had already begun to think.

To the left — a damaged petrol tanker truck.

To the right in ground — two thick electrical cables, snapped and copper wire exposed

And near to the wires

A rusted control lever, half-buried near the broken supply unit.

His breathing slowed.

His eyes sharpened.

A plan.

The Minotaur roared and charged.

Thangadurai ran—not away, but into the danger zone itself, then he stands near to the abandoned fuel tank truck

"COME ON!!!"

The minotaur alpha charged, closer to the thangadurai

thangadurai dived in near to the lever, the the minotaur alpha horn was struck in the tank, after it fled itself, the fuel are start leaking steadily, streamlined,

With thangadurai opportunity,

He grabbed the lever with both hands, his muscles screaming as he forced it downward, the mechanism resisting for a second before—

CLICK.

The current surged.

Electricity exploded through the exposed wires, sparks jumping wildly as the fuel beneath ignited in an instant.

BOOOOOOOOM.

The entire yard erupted into fire.

A violent explosion swallowed everything — flames blasting outward, heat crushing the air, the shockwave throwing Thangadurai backward across the ground.

His body rolled hard across gravel and broken stone before slamming into a metal barrier, his ears ringing, his vision spinning.

For a moment—

Nothing existed.

Then—

A roar.

Thangadurai's eyes widened slowly.

"No way…"

Through the burning flames—

The Minotaur Alpha walked out.

Its body was scorched.

Burning.

Pieces of flesh cracked and smoking—

But it was alive.

Its eyes burned brighter than before.

Now filled with pure rage.

but it weakened now...

Thangadurai coughed, forcing himself up, his entire body shaking.

"…you've got to be kidding me…"

The Minotaur charged again.

Faster.

Angrier.

Thangadurai turned—

And saw it.

A road roller engine.

Massive.

Heavy.

Parked slightly ahead… its driver slumped lifelessly over the side.

The key—

Still inside.

Without thinking, Thangadurai sprinted toward it, ignoring the pain screaming through his body as he climbed up and shoved the dead driver aside.

"Sorry…" he muttered under his breath.

He grabbed the controls.

Twisted the key.

The engine roared to life.

Behind him—

The Minotaur closed in.

Thangadurai gritted his teeth, gripping the controls tighter as his eyes locked onto the path ahead.

"Come on… COME ON…!"

The massive machine lurched forward.

The Minotaur leaped.

Thangadurai didn't stop.

Didn't turn.

Didn't hesitate.

"DIE!!!"

He slammed the accelerator fully.

The road roller crashed forward with unstoppable force—

Straight into the Minotaur Alpha.

CRAAAAAAAAASH.

The impact shook the ground.

The creature's massive body was pinned against a broken concrete wall as metal crushed into flesh with brutal force.

The Minotaur roared—

Struggled—

Pushed—

But Thangadurai pushed harder.

His arms trembled as he forced the machine forward, the engine screaming, the pressure increasing, metal grinding, bones cracking beneath the weight.

"STAY...DOWN…!!!!!"

The wall behind the creature cracked.

Then—

Collapsed.

The Minotaur was crushed between the collapsing wall and the unstoppable weight of the road engine.

A final roar echoed—

Then snapped.

Silence.

The engine slowed.

Then stopped.

Thangadurai sat there, frozen, his chest rising and falling violently as his hands trembled on the controls.

Slowly…

He looked down.

The Minotaur Alpha no longer moved.

Dead.

He exhaled deeply, his entire body giving in as he leaned back, staring at the burning sky above him.

"I… did it…"

For the first time—

He smiled.

Then—

The world reminded him.

A massive shadow moved across the sky.

Thangadurai looked up.

And his smile disappeared.

In the distance—

The Demon Titan stood like a god of destruction, towering over everything as a military helicopter circled it desperately, firing everything it had.

Bullets.

Missiles.

Hope.

The Titan didn't react.

It simply raised its hand.

Caught the helicopter mid-air.

And crushed it.

The explosion lit the sky in fire.

Burning debris fell like rain.

Thangadurai stared.

Not afraid.

Not shocked.

Just… understanding.

"This isn't over…"

His thoughts shifted.

Shiva.

His son's face appeared in his mind again.

That quiet voice.

That one word—

"Appa…"

Thangadurai closed his eyes briefly.

"…I hope you alive…"

Then he stood up slowly, his body broken, but his will unshaken.

Because now—

This wasn't just survival anymore.

It was a war.
