Abigail
"Got you!"
I nearly screamed as a hand clamped down on my shoulder. I spun around, ready to throw a punch, only to find Annette glaring daggers at me in the front of our apartment building.
"Annie, what the hell!" I clutched my chest. "I almost knocked you out!"
"You deserve to be knocked out, you reckless, stubborn-ass woman!" she muttered furiously, grabbing my arm and hauling me inside .
"You went alone? After Cole's death, after the truck, after I specifically told you not to pull this lone-wolf bullshit? I tracked your phone, Abigail!"
" I didn't want you getting hurt because of me," I murmured as we passed Dennis at the entrance. Annette pinched my arm where she was gripping it, sharp enough to make me wince.
"Well you're about to get hurt because of me!" She hissed, dragging me down the hall to our apartment. The second the door was locked behind us, the real scolding started.
