What would it take to get my mother on a vacation to the Bahamas or Jeju Island just so she wouldn't be around to fuck around with my nerves?
"You signed me up for a seminar without asking me?" I bit into the phone, gripping the device so tightly I could hear it creak under the pressure.
"I signed you up because you would have said no." Mother's voice breezed through the car's speaker with all the pride in the world.
"And then you would have missed an excellent opportunity because you are, when it comes to your schedule, deeply stubborn, Finnegan."
Yeah, I liked having some semblance of order in my life, screw me for that. My lips twisted in a cynical smile.
I was already in the car to the private hangar anyway,ready to fly my ass to Japan because my mother already signed me up for a fucking seminar to give speeches.
