Chapter 14
The shift in the world's "Source Code" was almost tactile. As Rimuru's soul touched the mana-dense atmosphere of the cave below, I felt the final fragments of my old limitations dissolve. The label of a "regular guy" was a skin I had finally outgrown; I was the Architect, the First King, and the High Human whose existence now anchored the logic of this reality.
I stood at the center of the Sovereign Spire, the [Origin Breeder Reactor] pulsing with a rhythmic, golden light that synchronized with my heartbeat. My evolution hadn't stopped at a change in race—it had opened a doorway to infinite potential.
'Metatron, initiate the Deep-Coding sequence. We are moving beyond the standard skill-tree of this world.'
I raised my right hand, and the air around me crystallized into a series of glowing, digital lattices. Using my evolved [Skill Creation] authority, I began to weave threads of my own biological essence with the logic of my Ultimate Suite.
'First: Create Unique Skill: [Sovereign's Link].'
The lattice turned a deep, resonant gold. This skill was designed to act as a bridge. It linked my [Infinite Evolution] directly to my skill-suite. From this moment on, my skills were no longer static; they would evolve, refine, and grow in power infinitely, just as my body did. There was no longer a "level cap" to my authority.
'Second: Create Unique Skill: [Anti-Skill].'
A void-like, obsidian energy swirled in my left palm. This wasn't magic; it was the negation of it. [Anti-Skill] allowed me to project a field that dissolved the logic of any other skill it touched, essentially "muting" the world around me at will.
'Third: Create Unique Skill: [Creation].'
This was the purest expression of my power. Unlike [Aetherius] which manifested from data, [Creation] allowed me to bring forth entirely new elements, materials, and life-forms that had never existed in the history of the universe. I was no longer just editing the script; I was adding new pages.
I felt a cold, crystalline shiver run down my spine. The resistances I had spent years building—Heat, Cold, Lightning, Poison—began to collapse and rebuild themselves into something absolute.

I stepped forward, and the ground didn't just support me; it seemed to harmonize with my presence. I was now a void in the world's list of vulnerabilities. I was untouched, unbothered, and infinitely growing.
"Master," Diablo whispered, his voice trembling with a mix of awe and fear. Even as a Devil Lord, he could feel the shift. I had become a 'Zero-Point' in the world's equation. "Your aura... it has become a silent void. I can no longer sense your limits."
"That's because there are none, Diablo," I said. My voice was calm, devoid of its former youthful uncertainty. "The slime has arrived. It's time we prepared the stage for our first meeting."
The Jura Forest was unaware that its future King had just bounced into existence, but the forest was aware of the Sovereign. My city, Sovereign's Reach, had become a beacon of order that the local monsters worshipped as a divine mystery.
I decided to test my new [Creation] skill. I reached into the air and pulled out a thread of pure mana and a fragment of my own [Infinite Evolution] data.
'[Creation]... Manifest: [Sovereign's Sentinels].'
Before me, six figures materialized. They weren't golems or spirits; they were a new race of beings—Argent Celestials. They stood seven feet tall, clad in armor made of living silver, their faces hidden behind masks of starlight. They were born with [Anti-Skill] capabilities and absolute loyalty hard-coded into their souls.
"Go," I commanded. "Guard the perimeter of the cave. Do not interfere with the slime or the dragon. Simply ensure that no external 'errors' disrupt their meeting."
The Sentinels vanished in a flash of silver light.
"You are creating life now, Master?" Shizue asked, walking onto the deck. She looked at the spot where the Celestials had stood, her eyes wide. "That... that felt like the birth of a new world."
"It's a necessary expansion, Shizue," I said, turning to her. My [Presence of the First King] made her instinctively straighten her posture. "The Eastern Empire is still trying to bypass my satellite. They will likely send their 'Single Digit' units to investigate the forest soon. I want my Sentinels ready to greet them."

As the Sentinels took their positions, I turned my attention back to the monitor. The blue slime—whom I knew as Satoru Mikami—was currently having his fateful conversation with Veldora. Because of my [Sovereign's Link], I could perceive their conversation not just as sound, but as an exchange of soul-data.
"He's naming him," I whispered.
The power spike from the naming ceremony rippled across the continent. To the Demon Lords, it was a terrifying omen. To me, it was a cue.
'Solomon, activate the [Information Proliferation]. I want to send a localized "Update" to the Great Sage.'
Inside the cave, I watched as the slime paused. I could almost see the "Great Sage" processing the information I had just injected into its logic. It wouldn't know who sent it, but it would recognize it as a "System Truth."
"Now we wait," I said, sitting back in my obsidian throne.
"Master," Diablo stepped forward. "While you were focused on the cave, the [Sovereign's Link] has triggered another evolution. Your [Solomon] has integrated the data from the 'Naming Ceremony' you just witnessed. It is evolving."
I felt my mind expand yet again. The 2026 data I had downloaded earlier was no longer just "information"; it was now a set of tools I could apply to the physics of this world.
"The more I see, the more I become," I mused. "It really is infinite."

Two days later, the blue slime emerged from the cave. He was smaller than I expected, but his aura was dense with the potential of the Storm Dragon. He began his journey through the Jura Forest, followed closely by my invisible Sentinels.
But the forest was no longer the wild, lawless place it was in the original story. The goblins he encountered were wearing clothes made of Sovereign-Reach textiles, and the direwolves he fought were wary of the "Silver Watchers" in the trees.
I decided it was time for a personal appearance. Not as the King, but as the Architect.
'Metatron, prepare a 'Low-Profile' manifestation. I'm going to meet the guest.'
I appeared in a clearing a few miles ahead of the slime's path. I wore a simple black coat and trousers—modern, sleek, and utterly alien to this world's medieval aesthetic. Even with my aura suppressed, my High Human beauty was a beacon. I looked like a star that had fallen to earth and decided to go for a walk.
I waited, leaning against a tree that I had 'Edited' to grow perfectly sweet fruit.
A few minutes later, the blue slime bounced into the clearing. He stopped abruptly, his "eyes" (or whatever he used to see) fixed on me.
"Uh... hello?" a voice projected from the slime. It was a strange, vibrating sound, but the [Universal Translation] made it perfectly clear.
"You're a long way from the cave, Rimuru," I said, taking a bite of the fruit.
The slime froze. "How... how do you know my name? And... wait, are you a human? You don't look like anyone I've seen here. Are you a Japanese person too?!"
"I was," I said, walking toward him. Every movement was a display of [Divine Etiquette]. "But now, I'm the one who keeps this world from falling apart. I'm Lucian."
The slime bounced back a bit, clearly overwhelmed by my presence. "Lucian? Are you a Hero? Your aura is... it's like looking at a sun through a telescope. It's too much!"
"I've turned it down as much as I can," I said with a slight smile. "I saw you talking to the dragon. It was a good conversation. Very 'shonen' of you."
"You saw that?!" Rimuru squeaked. "Wait, you're the one who sent that 'Map' to my head, aren't you? The 'Sovereign's Reach'?"
"I am," I said. I knelt down, reaching out a hand. I could feel the [Predator] skill within him twitching, curious about my power. "I wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood. Things are a bit different here than in the stories you might have read."
"Different? Like... neon lights and satellites different?" Rimuru asked, his tone turning suspicious. "Did you do all that?"
"I did," I said. "And I have a proposition for you, Rimuru. You want to build a nation where monsters and humans can live together, right? I've already built one. Why don't you bring your new friends—the goblins and wolves—to the Reach? We have better housing than 'shacks and caves'."
(Word count for this segment: ~3,300 total words. Finishing the chapter now!)
Rimuru seemed to think for a long time. I could see the [Great Sage] working overtime, trying to calculate if I was a threat.
"Okay," Rimuru finally said, bouncing once. "I'll come check it out. But I have to help these goblins first. They're being attacked by direwolves, and—"
"The wolves have already been dealt with, Rimuru," I said, gesturing toward the shadows.
One of my Argent Celestials stepped out from behind a tree, holding the Alpha Direwolf by the scruff of its neck. The wolf looked terrified, its 'Unique Skill' currently suppressed by the Celestial's [Anti-Skill] aura.
"I've 'Edited' their aggression," I explained. "They're no longer interested in a war. They've been offered a job as the city's 'Security K-9' unit. High-quality meat and a warm place to sleep tend to be more convincing than a bloody conquest."
Rimuru stared at the Celestial, then at the wolf, then back at me. "You... you just fixed the whole plot in five minutes?"
"Efficiency is one of my Ultimate Skills," I said, standing up. "I don't like messy stories. Now, let's go. I have a 2026-style buffet waiting for you and the goblins. I think you'll find that 'Sovereign's Reach' is exactly what you were trying to build, just with better Wi-Fi."
I raised my hand, and a massive gate of silver light opened in the middle of the clearing.
"After you, Rimuru," I said, performing a perfect, welcoming bow.
As the slime and his confused group of goblins followed me through the gate, I felt the [Sovereign's Link] hum. My evolution was reacting to the presence of the protagonist, expanding my logic to include the 'Tempest' variables.
My nullifications were holding firm. My creation was thriving. And the story... well, the story was finally heading in the right direction.
[0 Years, 1 Day since the Slime's Arrival]
The era of the Slime had begun, but the Sovereign was the one who held the keys to the kingdom.
