Chapter 178 - The Smile That Sparked a Storm

Keifer's POV

The morning sun filtered through the blinds, casting a warm, golden glow across the bedroom. Jay jay was completely buried beneath a mountain of blankets, curled up like a sleepy kitten. Her hair was a messy, beautiful tangle across the pillow. She looked so peaceful, so breathtakingly soft in the quiet light, that my chest immediately tightened just looking at her.

You're driving me absolutely insane, Jay... in the best possible way. ❤️You have no idea what you do to my heart, Jay.Every time I look at you, I lose a little more of myself.

She was beautiful—no, breathtaking. Words simply weren't enough to capture the quiet perfection of the woman lying before me. The soft morning light wrapped around her like it was made just for her, making her look almost unreal.

I had held her in my arms countless times. I had whispered that she was mine more times than I could remember. I had loved her with everything I had—again and again, every single day. Yet somehow... it never felt like enough.

With each passing day, my heart only surrendered more to her. My love wasn't fading—it was growing into something deeper, stronger, almost frightening. It was becoming an obsession I never wanted to escape. She had become the first thought on my mind every morning and the last one before I closed my eyes at night.

I didn't know when it happened, but somewhere along the way, she became my peace, my weakness, and the only place my heart ever wanted to call home.

You're the reason my heart refuses to stay calm.I swear, you're going to be the death of my self-control, Jay.

I leaned down and gently pressed a soft kiss to her forehead to wake her up. Jay jay stirred slightly, shifting under the heavy blankets, but she was still deeply in her sleep.

"Wake up, my baby," I whispered, a soft smile on my face. "It's time to leave the bed because your throne waiting for you."

Jay jay just let out a tiny, soft grunt and completely drifted back to sleep again.

Seeing her drop right back off, I chuckled softly. I leaned in closer to try again, wanting to feel her warmth. I pressed gentle kisses against her eyelids, then moved down to kiss her warm cheeks. When she still didn't wake, I trailed my lips down to her soft neck, planting slow, lingering kisses there. She grunted softly but didn't open her eyes.

After so many tries of kissing her neck, shaking her gently, and calling her name, I shifted lower. I pulled the blanket down, until it's exposing the smooth skin of her chest, and pressed a firm, lingering kiss right to the centre of her chest.

Jay jay finally cracked one eye open and spoke in a very sleepy, groamy voice.

"Tody iam not going office and be CEO i want to sleep," she mumbled, burying her face deeper into the pillow.

I chuckled softly, my hand sliding under the sheet to trail my fingers down her bare shoulder, feeling the electric spark that always sparked between us." Sweetheart you have college waiting for you."

Jay jay let out a dramatic, muffled whine into the mattress. "Ugh... even worse. Cancel college. Tell them the princess is sleeping."

I leaned down closer, my eyes dropping to where the sheet had slipped down completely, exposing the beautiful curve of her frame. "Well, looking at you right now... jay jay your boobs curves looking beautiful in this sunlight."

Jay jay's eyes snapped open, her face instantly turning bright red. She glared at her me through her messy hair, her heart hammering against her ribs. "keifer you're shameless!"

I just flashed a wicked, playful smirk, leaning down to whisper against her lips, my gaze burning with an intensity that made her catch her breath. "yeah only for you 😉."

I kept teasing her , pulling the covers away while she laughed and tried to hide back under the pillow. After making sure she was finally awake and wouldn't just fall back asleep, she finally got moving so she wouldn't be late, though my thoughts stayed entirely anchored to the way she looked in my arms.

Jay Jay's POV

When I arrived at college, reality hit me. I went to college and she skip so much days of study so she want notes. I really needed to catch up before the exams, so i asked everyone but no one have ll point.

I spent twenty minutes asking classmates, but it was completely useless. Everyone was too stressed about their own grades to help. Finally, so i asked a boy who is looking interested in studying, sitting by the window with his textbooks. So i aks from him and he is also gental with me.

"Excuse me... Hi. Sorry to bother you," I said nervously, tapping the edge of his desk. "I've missed quite a few classes. Do you happen to have the complete statistics notes?"

The boy looked up, blinking out of his intense focus, and immediately offered a warm, gentle smile. "Oh, hello! Yes, I do. Don't worry about it, you can sit here."

"Really? Thank you so much! I'm Jay jay."

"I'm Jun, nice to meet you," he said, opening his neatly organized notebook and sliding it between us. He pointed toward a dense page of equations. "We actually covered a lot while you were away. Do you understand these formulas?"

I looked at the page filled with numbers and symbols before sighing and shaking my head. "Honestly... not at all. It looks like a completely foreign language to me right now."

Jun laughed softly, a comforting and gentle sound. "Don't worry. Everyone feels that way at first. It looks terrifying, but it's manageable."

He began explaining each step patiently, pointing at different formulas. He also tell them how this number works. See this specific variable here? This variable represents the frequency. Once you understand that, the rest becomes much easier. If you multiply it by the baseline sample size, the whole pattern changes.

I leaned closer to follow along, watching his pen point to the figures. "Oh... that's why the answer changes in the next step!"

"Exactly!" Jun smiled, leaning in a bit closer to point out another section. "You catch on really fast. Our professor tried explaining it with a graph, but honestly, his drawing was so bad it looked more like a plate of spaghetti."

I threw my head back and burst into laughter at something that boy saying. "Spaghetti? Oh my god, yes! That's exactly what I thought! I always thought his diagrams looked like food!"

Soon we were both laughing, and for the first time all day, statistics didn't seem quite so impossible. Jun was incredibly sweet, and the heavy weight of falling behind finally started to lift from my shoulders.

Keifer's POV

I decided to come over to her department to see jay jay and surprise her.

As I walked toward the open study courtyard, my steps suddenly ground to a halt.

My eyes narrowed and I got so extremely jealous that a dark, suffocating fog completely clouded my mind. I saw jay jay sitting at a table, looking incredibly happy, and she was laughing at something that boy saying. They were leaning over a single notebook together, sharing the space so closely that their shoulders were practically brushing. He was also so close to her.

A sudden, sharp spark of possessiveness flared hot and heavy in my chest. I didn't care that they were studying. I didn't care about anything. Seeing another guy step into my territory, seeing him be the one to make my girl laugh like that, made my blood boil. It felt like someone was trying to touch a treasure that belonged solely to me.

I didn't even think twice. My jaw clenched so hard it ached. I walked straight over to their table, bypassed the guy entirely, and gripped jay jay's wrist firmly but gently.

"We're leaving," I said, my voice dropping to a low, terrifying pitch.

Jay jay blinked up at me in utter shock. "Keifer? Wait, what—"

I didn't let her finish. I picked up her bag, slung it over my shoulder, and pulled her right out of her chair. I didn't even listen to what she or the boy were trying to say. The jealousy was consuming me so heavily that the only thing I could focus on was getting her away from there. I took her directly home with me, towing her down the campus hallway and straight toward my car, ignoring the curious stares of the students around us.

Once we slammed the car doors shut and I started driving, the silence in the vehicle was heavy and suffocating. I gripped the steering wheel so tightly my knuckles turned white.

Jay jay turned in her seat, looking at my rigid profile. A tiny, knowing smirk began to play on her lips despite the sudden kidnapping.

"You're jealous," she said softly, testing the waters.

"No," I snapped, keeping my eyes locked dead ahead on the road.

"You are, keifer Watson."

"No."

"Then look at me," she challenged, leaning closer. "Look at me and say it, Jay jay."

"Jean, stop," I growled, the raw frustration slipping out before I could catch myself.

Jay jay's smirk instantly widened into a triumphant grin, her eyes sparkling. "Look! You called me Jean. My name! You only call me that when you lose your cool because you're completely out of your mind with jealousy."

I closed my eyes for a brief second, letting out a rough, defeated sigh as I pulled the car into our driveway. She always knew exactly how to dismantle my walls, even when I was trying my hardest to be angry.

Jay Jay's POV

The silence in the car was so heavy it felt like it was crushing my chest. I stole a glance at Keifer's profile. His jaw was clenched so tightly that a muscle in his cheek was twitching, and his hands were practically melting the leather of the steering wheel. He didn't say a single word. He didn't even look at me.

Oh God, I am so dead.

My mind raced back to the courtyard. I only asked Jun for help because I didn't want to bother Keifer! Keifer was brilliant—he basically mastered everything our college taught and was only here to get the degree on paper. But he was also in the advanced corporate program, and his schedule was always insane. I thought I was being a good, considerate fiancee by not dumping my messy, skipped-class statistics problems on his plate.

Clearly, that was a massive miscalculation. Keifer expected me to come to him for everything, no matter how busy he was.

As the car pulled into the driveway and the engine cut out, the absolute stillness inside the vehicle made my stomach drop. Keifer didn't move. He just stared dead ahead out the windshield. The quiet dominance radiating off him was terrifying.

I looked down at my lap, my heart hammering against my ribs, and mentally started praying for my legs. I knew exactly what that dark, silent look meant. He wasn't just regular jealous he was possessive-territorial jealous, and the fact that he wasn't yelling made it ten times worse.

"Keifer..." I started, my voice coming out as a tiny, tentative whisper.

He didn't answer. He just unbuckled his seatbelt, stepped out of the car, and walked around to my side. When he opened my door, his dark eyes finally locked onto mine, completely unreadable but burning with an intensity that made my knees go weak before I even stood up.

The door clicked shut behind us, and the heavy sound of the lock turning felt like the final judge's gavel.

Let's rewind just thirty seconds. I didn't even get to walk into the house on my own two feet.

The moment I stepped out of the car, Keifer didn't say a word—he just scooped me up into his arms, carrying me bridal style like I weighed absolutely nothing. My heart was practically in my throat.

As we hurried through the hallway toward his bedroom, his brother, Keiren, suddenly stepped out into the corridor. Seeing me cradled in Keifer's arms with my face probably pale as a ghost, Keiren's eyes widened with instant worry.

"What happened?" Keiren asked quickly, stepping forward. "Is Jay jay okay?"

Keifer didn't even break his stride. His face remained a mask of absolute, icy calm as he lied right through his teeth. "She got severe cramps in her legs. I'm taking her to the room to treat her. Don't come inside—even if you hear her screaming."

My jaw nearly hit the floor. Screaming?! I looked at Keiren with wide, pleading eyes, silently begging him to save me, but Keifer was already pushing open his bedroom door.

Now, the door was locked. The outside world was completely shut out. Keifer turned around, his dark, intense gaze fixing entirely on me. The sheer, suffocating possessiveness radiating off him made my legs feel like jelly before they even touched the ground. I knew right then and there my legs were officially doomed.
