A while later, Kojo reaches home. As he takes out his phone, he sees a message from Hakuo.
Hakuo's message: "Did Hinata come to your cafe for the interview? And is she the same girl you were talking about earlier?"
Kojo's reply: "Yes, Hinata is the one."
Hakuo: "Then why have I never seen her at school?"
Kojo: "Do you know Tanaka Itsuki?"
Hakuo: "No, who is that?"
Kojo: "He's our class president. If you don't even know him, how would you know Hinata?"
Hakuo: "What is Hinata's section?"
Kojo: "Section A. But why do you ask?"
Hakuo: "Just wondering. Okay, bye. See you at school tomorrow."
The next scene shows Hinata arriving at her home.
Hinata: "Mom, I'm home! I brought the things you asked for from the supermarket."
Hinata's Mom: "Okay, Hina. Go freshen up; I'm setting the table for dinner."
Hinata: "Okay."
A little later, Hinata comes out for dinner. (The house is shown clearly, and it does not look like they are facing any financial problems at all.)
Hinata's Mom: "How was your day today?"
Hinata: "It was quite good. The owner of the place where I started my new part-time job also studies at my school."
Hinata's Mom: "That's good. But why do you want to work a part-time job?"
Hinata: "I get bored at home alone, and Fuji isn't living at home anymore either."
Hinata's Mom: "Have you spoken to Fuji?"
Hinata: "No, I spoke to one of his friends. He said Fuji has gone out of town for some work."
Hinata's Mom: "I see."
Hinata: "I've finished my dinner; I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight."
Hinata's Mom: "Love you, goodnight."
The morning scene:
Hinata: "I've had my breakfast, I'm heading to school now. Bye!"
Hinata's Mom: "Bye!"
