Chapter 7 - Mo fan:my spirit

The wind howled in his ears, and behind him was a massive, monstrous wolf chasing furiously. If it weren't for Zhang Xiaohou's Wind System Magic Tool allowing them to move at extreme speed, Mo Fan wouldn't deny that he might have died under the wolf's claws. But now, he had slowly calmed down.

At this moment, they had also arrived deep inside. Mo Fan then said to Zhang Xiaohou, "Monkey, just up ahead, you run fast, I'll deal with it."

"How can I do that? How can I leave you behind!" Zhang Xiaohou immediately shook his head and refused.

"Damn it, if we don't stop, both of us will die," Mo Fan said urgently.

The deep part of the cave was an even more spacious cavern, its bottom entirely covered in rugged, strange rocks, and its ceiling adorned with countless hanging stalactites. There was no path here; it was the end.

Zhang Xiaohou also realized there was no way forward. Upon reaching this point, the Dire Wolf Beast was even closer, and a burst of flying sand and stones spewed from its mouth, coiling up the extremely sharp gravel within the cave and striking towards the two of them.

Zhang Xiaohou, being a Wind System user, was naturally a bit faster.

He instinctively wanted to dodge but realized Mo Fan couldn't possibly be as fast as him.

Gritting his teeth, Zhang Xiaohou pushed Mo Fan hard, shoving him behind a tall rock.

Mo Fan, who was about to cast a spell, was caught off guard and interrupted. Then he saw Zhang Xiaohou, who hadn't had time to dodge, instantly riddled with holes by the sharp stones, with conspicuous blood holes appearing all over his body!

"Damn it!"

After cursing, Mo Fan condensed his Star Orbit.

"Lightning Seal - Wild Whip!"

Purple Lightning Seal marks densely covered Mo Fan's head.

He raised one hand high and clenched his palm tightly!

Instantly, all the Lightning Seal marks transformed into long, whip-like lightning pythons. These lightning pythons furiously lashed at the body of the Dire Wolf Beast. Under the whipping of the lightning, the Dire Wolf Beast's already injured body began to tear open.

"Ugh-woo!"

The Dire Wolf Beast roared in pain, its powerful, thick muscles and steel-plate body instantly paralyzed.

"Fiery Fist - Bone Incineration!"

Originally, green flames had already ignited, but he thought that if he directly burned the Dire Wolf Beast into charcoal, it would be too conspicuous. So, he directly blasted the base of a stalactite above.

The Bone Incineration flame was not helpless against rock; the internal combustion of the Bone Incineration could instantly scorch the slender base of the stalactite red.

The stalactite was huge, and once its base was burned through, it immediately transformed into a giant stalactite sword, falling from the highest point of the cavern.

"Puff-boom!"

The stalactite almost instantly pierced through the Dire Wolf Beast's body.

The moment it was pierced by the stalactite, the Dire Wolf Beast completely lost its life signs.

After defeating the Dire Wolf Beast, what appeared was not a Spirit Essence, but merely a wisp of remnant soul?

"Damn it, where's my Spirit Essence!"

"..."

After a fit of impotent rage, Mo Fan calmed down. Clearly, he had remembered incorrectly; the Magic Wolf that dropped the Spirit Essence was not this one, but the one that had secretly absorbed the Earth Holy Spring.

However, it didn't matter. This time, he had defeated the Dire Wolf Beast and obtained the reward: the blue Magic Tool bracelet.

With a life-saving Magic Tool, he would be able to hunt demons in the wild, which would greatly increase his safety factor.

Then he carried Monkey on his back and hurried outside.

Perhaps when observing from a third-person perspective, one might not fully grasp the bond between Zhang Xiaohou and Mo Fan, but the moment he unhesitatingly pushed him away, Mo Fan understood a great deal.

Inside the cave.

When Chief Instructor Zhan Kong arrived, he immediately illuminated the area with Fire System magic. The moment it was lit, he stood there, stunned, unable to believe what his eyes were seeing.

The student named Mo Fan was not dead; he was currently carrying an injured companion on his back.

That berserk Dire Wolf Beast, which he should have personally finished off, was now standing below?

Oh, it was directly impaled by a stalactite and pinned there. Its life signs were gone!

This Dire Wolf Beast, it's dead??

The combat power of this Dire Wolf Beast was not inferior to a true demon. Zhan Kong's purpose in releasing it was absolutely not for these students to defeat it, but merely to have it pretend to be a demon to give these students a true experience.

Defeating this Dire Wolf Beast was simply impossible, yet now, this student had killed it?

Although there was some trickery involved, the Dire Wolf Beast was indeed dead. There couldn't be such a coincidence in the world; it couldn't be that the stalactite fell off by itself and just happened to hit the berserk Dire Wolf Beast. Moreover, with the Dire Wolf Beast's reaction speed, it could have completely dodged before the stalactite fell.

"You... you did this??" Zhan Kong's incomprehension almost filled his entire mind.

"Yes."

Mo Fan nodded and then said, "Chief Instructor, I coincidentally found this blue bracelet in the cave just now. When will you arrange to give me the Magic Tool reward for this bounty?"

Zhan Kong paused; he suddenly remembered what he had said earlier!

Oh my goodness!

He hadn't prepared any Magic Tools at all!

This bounty was extremely difficult, because the cave was guarded by the Dire Wolf Beast, and the blue bracelet was placed there symbolically, with no expectation that these students would be able to obtain it.

In Zhan Kong's estimation, half of the students would be eliminated in the previous stages, and the remaining half would surely be wiped out by the Dire Wolf Beast!

However, who would have thought that this would exceed his expectations, and by this student, no less, who he had previously thought was crazy?

"Ahem... first, save the person," Zhan Kong immediately changed the subject.

Mo Fan didn't mind. Although Chief Instructor Zhan Kong was a bit slick, he wouldn't go back on his word.

Although he knew Zhan Kong wouldn't renege, Mo Fan still reminded him, "Right, first save the person. I remember you, Chief Instructor, said it was a defensive Magic Tool, a defensive Magic Tool worth hundreds of thousands!"

Chief Instructor, who was flying coolly with his Wind Wings, lost his balance for a moment and almost failed to dodge a stalactite coming his way.

This was a loss of hundreds of thousands for nothing; even he would feel a little heartache.

As they were about to leave, Mo Fan suddenly felt a shadow moving beside him.

The shadow circled down the black rock wall and appeared before Mo Fan. Immediately after, Mo Fan saw a shapely woman slowly rise from the shadow.

It was none other than the charming and enchanting Teacher Teacher Tang Yue.

"Teacher Teacher Tang Yue."

"You're okay??" Teacher Teacher Tang Yue's charming oval face broke into a joyful smile.

"Yes, I'm fine," Mo Fan nodded.

Speaking of which, this was the woman who had provided him with his first commission.

She was an important investor in his beginning; it would be somewhat inexcusable if he were to let down the beautiful teacher in the future...

Teacher Teacher Tang Yue's gaze shifted, and she quickly noticed the Dire Wolf Beast pinned there like a specimen, momentarily unable to recover her senses.

"This... this is..." Teacher Teacher Tang Yue said in astonishment.

"You've produced a very monstrous student. The Dire Wolf Beast was killed by him," Chief Instructor Zhan Kong said.

Teacher Teacher Tang Yue opened her small mouth in surprise, staring intently at Mo Fan.

"Just luck..."

Teacher Tang Yue's face darkened; she was just short of cursing!

What the hell is "luck"? This was a real demon, yet it was killed by a high school student. Even in university academies, it's not certain that a student could achieve this, right?
